The Office of Occult Affairs
KUG CHAPTER 27

Today the atmosphere in the office was very quiet. Grandfather meditated, while Arya and Maja were on errands outside the city.

I stared at my computer screen and closed this boring game. 

When I was getting used to this job and quite feel at home, suddenly the atmosphere in this place became serious.

Usually I can still hear the ridiculous jokes of Maja and Grandpa. Moreover, sometimes Arya reply to their jokes with a flat tone, but very funny in my opinion.

It seems like Grandpa and Maja's silliness affects Arya, I was very happy when I saw Arya like that. While Grandma is rarely in this house, it seems like Grandma has her own busyness and only visits this place occasionally.

So did Grandpa's son named Mei. I haven't met her, Maja said that Mei is helping Grandpa's friend who followed Grandpa's footsteps and set up an office that oversees interactions between Jinns and humans.

Usually during the day like this there will be Jin who come here and do data collection and other interests. But this is really the thing that amazes me, their nation really respects Grandpa and the existence of this office.

They even respect me like humans respecting government employees. And I was amazed by those who agreed and supported Grandfather's actions, they were no longer as sinister as elsewhere.

I always laugh when I hear funny stories from people around me. All of this made me have a new view of the Jin people. But they also keep reminding me to be careful when interacting with their countrymen, because not all Jin people have good qualities. 

Some of them like to deceive people, some have allied themselves with Satan and mislead people.

Moreover, a layman like me would be easy to fool. Therefore they suggest that I remind people who are interested in the occult to stay away from the supernatural so as not to get lost and fooled. Or at least take care of yourself and not completely trust everything they say.

" Amel, is Arya home yet? "

Ah I was a little surprised when I heard a voice that arrived like this.

Mr. Kasim was dressed like a middle-aged man, and was well-dressed. The black clothes were uniforms for Jin who worked in our office, equipped with a badge which was that he was our office attendant.

The badge is circular and has a formation symbol that has several functions such as defense and escape.

I also have that badge that makes me safer to accept magical attacks. Grandma and Grandpa also gave me some other heirlooms to protect myself from the threat of the Jin nation.

Mr. Kasim sat down on the sofa and started telling me. It seems like the Jinns out there are also feeling that something serious is coming.

Kasim started talking and laughing. I nodded my head and agreed with what Mr. Kasim said.

We both saw Maja who arrived near the window and was carrying Arya who was seen sleeping on her back while walking towards us.

He sounded exhausted and walked away from us to Arya's room. We haven't spoken a word and Maja has disappeared from our sight.

" Easy man.. Arya's just sleeping, right? "

I asked with a trembling tone. I was still a little traumatized to see Arya who was unconscious.

" Yes, his breathing is calm and regular. Her body is also good Mel. But like they just finished fighting, I have not seen Maja fight for a long time. Judging from those who were exhausted, they must have fought with a powerful Jin or Devil. "

I felt relieved after hearing that Arya was fine. I don't really understand the fight, but I'm grateful Maja and Arya can go home safely.

Then Mr. Kasim reported what he had known from the information search mission he had done. According to Mr. Kasim, there has been no movement of the Devil nation in the area around this office, but other Jin people began to feel that something would happen and asked Mr. Kasim.

But Mr. Kasim has not told them and only replied that he was looking for what was strange with the negative aura around the city of Jakarta lately.

He also said that he was worried about the negative aura that would invite the Devil nation to gather it. But of course this was just a lie that all Jin could tell.

Because as the negative aura gets bigger, it is certain that Satan will move and do great things in the human world.

" Eunuch, call all the agents of the Jin people and tell them to be more careful and watch over other Jinn who have the possibility to ally with the Devil. If they do anything suspicious, let me know. Let me finish the rest. "

Maja looks very serious and Mr. Kasim also looks nervous about this situation. I hope everything will be okay..
