The Past Winter
Awakened
Fresh, clean air enters the lungs. Immediately rinse the dirty air that resides in the body. The soft mattress contains lumps of cotton and dry straw coated with a soft cloth touching the skin.
The pillow that supports the tiny head made of cloth and cotton, carrying it more washed away in tranquility. Sayup-sayup heard the voices of girls who were chatting near his ears. The longer it starts to bother.

A girl who was sound asleep on a mattress in the room frowned. The girl could not open her tightly closed eyes, lulled in the pleasure of the softness of the blanket that wrapped her small body.
As if not heeding the words of the daughter who was lying down, the other children continued their chipped chat earlier.
“Please, give me time to sleep.” Said the girl who was still closed.

One of the children patted the cheeks of the girl who was hugging her blanket tightly. The child continued to pat the face of the child who was lying on his bed, and shook his body tightly. It feels like an earthquake. Finally the sleeping child lazily opened his eyes slowly.
The bright red iris allured the jewel tub looked at the first figure caught by his eyes. He saw the face of another girl smiling widely staring in admiration and amazement at him.

Said the smiling girl. He told his other friends. Two other girls came to the bed of the child lying on his bed. They were all immediately amazed to see the beauty of the iris of the girl who had just opened her eyes.
The girl who had just woken up found herself in a room with two bunk beds filling the room. He was with three other girls who were there and said they were roommates.
“Hey, aren't you hungry?” Ask the girl who was first seen by him.

The loud noise coming out from the belly of the girl who had just woken up answered the question of her roommate. The three roommates fell silent for a moment before they giggled together.
“True, we're hungry too. Let's eat!” Take the second child who has dark brown curls.
“Before it's not better we shower first? I heard the shower today will be closed faster because the water from the large reservoir has dried up.” Sahut third child who has straight hair shoulder to shoulder with innocence. He had brought the toiletries he had just removed from the drawer.
“Oh you're right! Let's take a shower!”
Two other children agreed with the third child's invitation. They took their own toiletries. And invite the girl who was still lying in her bed to come along too.
“Basic slackers! Come quickly wake up!”
Two children of the three of them held each arm of his friend who was still lying down. The other child standing in front of them served as the commando who gave the code to follow his instructions.
“You ready?” Said the commando, who was answered with a nod of his friends' heads. “One... Two... Three... Lift!”
The two girls holding the arms raised the friend from the bed together. The body of the girl who had been lying directly stood firmly beside her bed.
Not long after the three of them fell on the floor, because the friend they helped to wake up fell and could not stand up his legs. The head of the girl who had just been forcefully lifted was instantly dizzy. His eyes were dark, his body limp so powerless that he fell on the floor with his friends.
His aching head, his dark gaze instantly revealed a shadow. A large black figure resembled that of an adult man, a basement, a damp smell, and thin air. It looks like a nightmare.
“Hey you guys okay?” Ask the boy who gave the command. Two other children who just realized in shock immediately asked the same thing to his friend who fell.
“My head hurts once..” She answered while holding her tiny head. The little girl continuously massaged her head lightly to make it feel better, but fresh blood dripped down her sleeping gown.
“Yes for God you're bleeding!”
“How is this his blood won't stop!”
The three friends cried out in panic when they saw the flow of blood coming out of his friend's nose was not stopped and instead dirty his clothes and the hands of his friend who was helping to wipe, he said, they felt guilty for making this friend hurt.
“Quick call Serena!” Orders one of the children with an anxious face. Another child who received the direct order rushed out of the room and looked for a person named ‘Serena’ to help them. No matter how long it took the sound of heavy footsteps leading to their place.

The bedroom door was forcefully opened until it accidentally hit the wall tightly. An adult woman stuck her hand out at the girl sitting on the floor. He immediately gave his handkerchief to the little boy and helped him clean the blood on his face.
“You're awake.” Say the voice of the adult woman affectionately. “Mari, I'll help you get on the bed.” He said while slipping his soft hand between the base of the girl's arm. His body is small and thin to the point of not feeling heavy at all it is easily moved on the bed.
“You help me, get me a big container of water from the bath, then bring it here!” His orders were to the girl's roommate.
“Good!“
Two of them rushed to fetch water in the container ordered by the woman named Serena earlier.
Serena, the name of the adult woman called by the children, saw one of them still standing in the doorway of the room. His little face looked worried. He looked at his roommate with a sad and guilty look, the aura around him becoming cloudy.
“What's Elyn?” Serena asked the boy.
Girls around the age of seven look funny, have shoulder-length straight hair and wear butterfly-shaped clasps in bright sky blue like the color of his eyes. Her tears instantly expanded on her eyelids after hearing Serena's voice.
“What is my friend this time that will die?” Ask Elyn.
“Why are you talking like that?” Serena asked a little surprised.
“The blood flowing out of his nose is very heavy. As that time.”
Now Elyn's body trembled, looking pale face and trying to resist crying as hard as she could. Serena immediately hugged the trembling body of Elyn tightly and tried to calm her down by gently stroking her head.
“No one will leave you Elyn, all will be well, trust me.” Say Serena with her soft voice. Elyn buried her face into Serena's arms. The woman closed her eyes tightly, as if she was holding back her cries with all her might.
Taps... Taps... Taps...

“Heh Elyn! Why don't you help us?!” Protests Olive, a girl who has long curly hair dangled up to her tiny waist. It has a low blue iris that looks like a yellowish green color usually it is called hazel.
“True, we're tired of knowing!” This time it was Allen's turn, the kid with adorable wavy hair, he was weaving his lips. This girl has blue-greenish irises like emerald.
“Hah!” Now Olive and Allen yelled together to see Serena hugging Elyn tightly.
The three girls who really liked Serena also scrambled to be embraced by her. Serena who saw the adorable behavior of the three girls also laughed in excitement and hugged them together into her arms.
