The Princess Of 100 Talents

The Princess Of 100 Talents
Chapter #96

"Your Majesty, please reconsider our wishes. We just don't want this country to have an empress who has killed someone." Said one of the prime ministers inside the palace hall.

"Yes, your honor. Please reconsider our wishes." Said another prime minister.

"Do you know who Queen An killed?" The emperor addressed all the prime ministers.

"Your highness...."

"Empress An killed a prince from an enemy country who attacked Chao's country, for wanting to protect this country like prince Rong, her husband. And he killed a woman, because she was the one who escaped from exile and colluded with the enemy country."

The prime ministers were silent, although they understood who the two people that Empress An had killed were, but they continued to fight.

"So tell me, do I have to punish the man who sacrificed his life for the sake of this country, for the sake of winning the war on the eastern border?" Said the emperor in a louder voice.

The words of the emperor shocked the prime ministers, they understood very well what gifts to give to the man who had helped win the war, and also the punishment for the man who dared to collude with the enemy.

"Prince Rong is not currently inside the palace, but in a few days he will make a decision. I hope you won't regret having continued to urge me and Prince Rong." The emperor again.

After saying that, the emperor stepped down from his throne, and walked away from the palace hall and the confused prime ministers, and was worried about prince Rong's decision later.

The emperor walked back to the palace with resentful feelings towards his prime ministers.

"How dare they do this to me and prince Rong. It looks like they should have been replaced." Emperor.

...----------------...

Currently Prince Rong and Empress An were enjoying their mornings beside the prince Rong pavilion.

"Did you sleep well last night?" Prince Rong said to Empress An.

"Yes, I slept well."

"It's good if it's like that. After this, I'll take you to the river to find a fish."

Empress An nodded, "Well, but I have to make a basket first."

"Don't we have it?"

"really? Did you bring it from the palace?"

"True, I asked a servant to bring it. Because I want to enjoy fresh fish from that river."

"It's good that it's like that."

Prince Rong grabbed and clasped the hand of Empress An, "Do you know, I really want to stop this day."

Empress An looked at prince Rong questioningly.

Prince Rong smiled, "I want things to stop like this, because seeing you like this makes me very calm and happy."

Empress An paused for a moment, "I'm sorry, for making everyone worry."

"You're innocent, everything has happened and it's beyond all of us."

Empress An was silent, there was already enough guilt that she felt these few days. But Prince Rong always said that he was innocent, as if he was bearing all his guilt.

"Lin'er, do you know the duties of a husband?" Prince Rong.

Empress An shook her head, "I don't know it."

"In addition to marrying and providing a decent life, a husband should always make his wife feel safe and happy. And I want to always do that to you. So, if they can't accept you as my consort, then I'll walk alongside you."

Empress An was stunned to hear prince Rong's words to her, she felt so moved. Because even though he no longer has a family, he still has people who love him so much.

"Thank you." Said empress An.

Empress An's tears dripped with happiness.

Prince Rong wiped away the tears, then kissed his empress' forehead.

Empress An nodded, then returned Prince Rong's embrace. His heart felt so warm and also touched by the sincerity of Prince Rong.

"Sorry, because it's worried you." Said empress An.

Prince Rong rubbed gently on the back of Empress An then nodded.

"Please promise, you'll always be happy and won't cry anymore." Prince Rong.

"Yes, I promise."

Prince Rong smiled at Empress An's words, then tightened his embrace.

At this moment Prince Rong was very happy, because what he had done for empress An, a little could make his empress improve and return smiling.

Prince Rong let go of his embrace, and looked at both of Empress An's eyes.

"You are my only empress, and also the woman who has made me not want to let you go." Prince Rong said solemnly.

"Thank you for choosing me."

Prince Rong rubbed gently on the cheek of Empress An, then approached her face to her and kissed the lips that had said the promise to her.

Gently Prince Rong gave his affection through his lips on the lips of Empress An.

"You are a very precious woman to me." Prince Rong said after kissing Empress An's lips.

Empress An's cheeks blushed and she blushed at all the sweet words that Prince Rong had told her.

"Let's get ready to catch a fish." Prince Rong.

Empress An nodded, "Yes."

Prince Rong took Empress An by the hand, and they entered the pavilion to get ready.

"Is the fish in the river big?" Said Empress An after she was ready with the basket she took from the kitchen.

"Of course, there are probably 2 to 3 types of fish in the river."

Empress An nodded and smiled.

"We're leaving now." Prince Rong.

"Good."

Carrying a basket and a net, Prince Rong and Empress An went to the river behind the pavilion.

Before long they had been in front of the river whose water was quite clear.

"I saw a shrimp behind the stone." Said Empress An while pointing towards a stone that was not so big.

Prince Rong looked at the stone that Empress An had pointed at, then descended into the river.

"Be careful." Said empress An.

Gaining the attention of his empress, prince Rong smiled.

Slowly, prince Rong moved the stone in front of him and caught the shrimp that had been hiding with the net he was carrying.

"Did you catch him?" Said empress An.

"Yes, I caught him."

Prince Rong lifted up the net in which was a sizable shrimp.

"That's great, then I'll put some of these beds over there." Said empress An.

Carefully Empress An got into the river and put up some baskets she was carrying, then put the basket on a stream that was quite swift and not so deep.
