The sun started to sink. Orange rays from the sun look beautiful to decorate the entire tree in the forest. Amazing scenery and really intoxicating beauty.
Key stared blankly in any direction. Ekot has said that he wants Key to be his wife. Is that true? Key was not interested in that at all. He refused firmly in front of everyone. Ekot's face looks pias. Key doesn't care.
After all, Ekot thought he could marry Key just for the reason that Key stayed with them? Bizarre for him. After resolutely refusing, he said that he would stay with them.
Both of his legs were hanging over a large branch. This is Key's habit. Looking at the sun sinking for him was very calming.
"Ki!"
Key search for sound source. The young man again, Purok below with a sweet smile. His cheeks suddenly warmed up. He immediately shifted his gaze.
"Ki ...."
The soft voice that called out his name with the wrong spelling, was so wrong! If only he could teach them letters. His name is Key, not Ki!
"I'm glad you made the right decision, but ...." Key looked at Purok who was already sitting next to him. In Key's mind, they had often sat together on one of the big branches like this.
"But I'm afraid Ekot will do the wrong thing." his black eyes looked at Key.
"I'm sure the mulank will protect me" Key said in a relaxed tone. He also believed in mulank because basically primitive people like Ekot and others would not be able to believe.
So it's very likely that Mulank was right. After all, according to Edward Burnett Tylor said in his book primitive culture that Animism is the main belief of all religions in the world. Because society evolved in a stage that went from savagery (Animism) to barbarism (Politheism) to civilization (monoism). At first, the community contemplated two main things. Death and dreams.
"Mulank might protect you. But Ekot can borrow the power of evil spirits." Purok's voice seemed to hold back anger.
"Why do you think that?"
"Because I know him. He's my brother."
"I thought you were just a tribal chief and a chieftain."
"What's that?" black eyes Purek blinked plain. I don't understand what Key's saying at all.
"No, forget it." Key rolled his eyeballs. That phrase might be very difficult for primitive people like them.
Momentary silence.
"Purok, will you accompany me for a walk into the Northern forest?" Key spoke without staring at Purok. His eyes looked at Tutul as his hands stroked the head of the tiny creature.
"All right."

the next day Purok kept his promise, but after carrying out his duty of hunting to eat their people. He then went to Key.
Now Purok and Key and Tutul are walking towards the North. Purok was also curious about the region because he had never been there. They are not allowed to cross the border between the South and North.
Bue who said that the South became their place of the humans while the North of the beasts and venomous place there.that's why he was very amazed at the girl next to him. How could he possibly survive there?
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Key who had been uncomfortable because Purok always looked at him raised a question with a tone of complaint.
"No, you're so pretty. Come on!" Purok ran while pulling Key's hand. Not paying attention to the two cheeks of Key who heated up because of his words. Key's tail glanced at the Tutul who was also running behind him.
"This is where I used to live." They've reached the tree where Key used to sleep. Leopards appear to be curled up near the tree.
"Do you really live here?"Key nodded with a smile.
"Do you know, bue said that this region where ferocious and venomous beasts live. That's why we only hunt in the South and to the East for fruits."
Key's laughter exploded.
"I'm beautiful, but I'm not a human goddess." Key flicked his wavy blonde hair back.
"So, because of that you kept looking around." Key looked at Purok whose eyes continued to look around.
"I feel like we're being watched."
"What do you mean?" Key was a little scared and watched around them. Unaware of his body and Purok was very close.
"I didn't see anything" said Key, still staring at the trees and bushes around them. Even the little animal or snake he didn't see. Feeling that there was no answer Key shifted his gaze from around to Purok.
Both of his eyes were locked onto Purok's black eyes. It seemed like Purok was staring at him. Their faces were very close, with the height of Key which was only limited to the chest of Purok, he slightly raised his face to look at those eyes. His heart is beating fast.
"Nurtau ...." Key called out the young man's name in a very slow tone. While Purok continued to look at the pretty face of Key did not blink. His look is hard to understand.
The face of Purok was getting closer, their noses had already touched. Key could even hear the sound of this young man breathing. Spontaneous Key closed his eyes.
The sreet!
Purok grabbed Key's waist and clenched him. Carrying into the embrace as his sharp black eyes stared back at Key. The place where the spear glided and now stuck there.
Key was silent for a moment on the bare chest of Purok. Trying to neutralize his own heartbeat.
"What's wrong?" Key raised his face. Without answering, Purok grabbed Key's hand and took him to where his spear was stuck.
Key gasped when he saw the blood on the tip of the spear. What blood is that? The sniffles seemed to sniff the blood.
"It looks like Ekot sent someone to follow and watch over us" said Purok calmly, his eyes staring into Key's enlarged eyes. So it's human blood!
"Why did he do that? I'll be with you. I will go back and stay with you. I said it yesterday." Key knitted his two eyebrows.
"It's because you're with me. That person must have been close to the Southern forest. I saw his back. He is a fast running man. My spear just scratched a little bit of his skin." Key was silent, trying to digest every sentence from Purok's lips.
"Now you have only two options, go back to them, marry Ekot and let me be killed or ...."
"What's? Killing you? You're his sister!"
"Yes, but Ekot is a cruel man. It doesn't matter who the opponent is. You've made the mistake of rejecting it in front of everyone. He's a crazy respect and woman." Purok uttered all of that with eyes that flashed with anger.
"What's the second choice?"
"We live together in the forest to the west. The forest in the area is believed to have supernatural powers. The good spirits throughout the forest in the believed chose the area as their place. We call it a holy place."
Key was silent, his brain could not digest what Purok said after the young man said 'we live together'.
