56. Be prepared to wait
Finally after confirming that Lu Jing Yu was fine, Pei Zhang Xi arrived at the morning court along with the eunuchs sent to pick her up by the Emperor along with Mo Han and Mo Ting. When Pei Zhang Xi walked into the hall, the officials who had been busy gossiping about getting new materials. They began to include Pei Zhang Xi in their conversation.
Pei Zhang Xi has not come in the morning court for the past two weeks. Although he had been relieved of his duties for a month from the Yuguang bureau, but attending the morning court was something that every prince who had come of age was obliged to follow.

The emperor scanned the entire hall. As his eyes found the figure of Pei Zhang Xi who had been absent for two weeks sitting forcefully in place the corner of his lips slightly lifted up. His mocking smile was reciprocated by his brash son with a sneer. With that the Emperor snorted in annoyance and asked Eunuch Song to immediately start the morning court as usual.
Since the Emperor's presence, things have returned as usual. One by one the ministers and other officials reported their work. A morning that is so lively yet so boring for some people. Pei Zhang Xi had since just arrived already impatiently wanting to go home clenching his hands under the table. His lips continued to cone as he began to curse at everyone who was currently speaking like a meaningless crowd of bees.
Mo Han who sat behind him a few times reminded him to calm down whenever he saw Pei Zhang Xi's knuckle whitening after resentfully squeezing his teacup.
Wei Qian Nia who was ignored while time was still sitting quietly in her place with the occasional snack and regretful tea provided. All the reported issues had nothing to do with him.
