The Revenge of the President

The Revenge of the President
Chapters 94. A full journey (2)

It's been an hour's drive. The streets looked deserted, only a few vehicles passed by, passing through them. The shade, the trees on the side along the way, makes the view beautiful. Not to mention, the grass and weeds were swaying, making both eyes stop at nothing to stare and giggle in admiration.

Arshila was asleep, with a blanket covering part of her body. Dave who is always on standby, let his body become the back of the wife.

In the front seat, two people who were in focus, sat silently. Just heard, the sound of music with a small volume. Sometimes, they shift a little, to get rid of the heat and fatigue, down there.

The car behind them, still following. The cars that transport, the bodyguards, to ensure safety, their employers.

Arshila shook her legs, putting away the blanket, like she was disturbed.

"What's up, baby?" Dave came back to cover it up.

Arshila dropped her head, on the husband's side. Apparently, he was looking for a comfortable position. Dave put his wife's leg up, on the chair.

"Do you need anything, sir?" From the front seat, Mr. Yus, turned his head, as there was movement from the seat behind him.

"Nothing," she answered, leaning with one of her hands, stroking Arshila's hair.

The distance is getting farther, it does not feel like it has been three hours, they drive. Leaving the forest, they entered the village. The rice fields are visible all the way. The houses of the people, whose houses are overgrown with fruits.

Arshila had woken up, she blinked and felt the touch of her husband's hand, stroking her hair.

"Are you awake?"

Arshila nodded, then got up with the help of her husband.

"Drink." Dave handed over the bottle of drink, which his wife received.

"I'm hungry." Give back the drink bottle.

"Tian, find a restaurant."

"Good, Sir."

It was noon and lunch time. Tian and Yus sir, turned left right, all the way. Who knows, there's a food stall. Meanwhile, Dave gives the lunchbox, to his wife. From home, specially prepared for him.

"I want to eat something else." Arshila closed her lunchbox.

"What's? Say it!"

"Fish."

"Don't you?" Dave asked again, staring doubtfully.

"Hm."

"alright. We'll find him."

The search continues. Until finally, Tian stopped, in front of the restaurant, the left and right sides, are rice fields.

"Wow, it's beautiful." Arshila stared, watching the scenery around her.

A sight he had seen for so long, he had not seen. In fact, the view now has not changed much. It was just the houses of the residents, which seemed to be increasing in number.

Arshila was getting impatient, to arrive soon. He misses his parents' house. Although, not being able to enter, being able to see him up close, he was already very grateful. He was also impatient to visit the graves of his parents. Many want, he told and issued his complaints.

"Come, come in." Take Dave with his wife's hand.

In the group, have ordered according to taste. Dave's waiting for his wife's order, because it's gonna follow.

"I want grilled milkfish and vegetable lodeh. Keep on, fish cook acid."

"There again?" Arshila looked at Dave.

"I'll just come along."

"Then, I'd like some young mango chili, iced tea. Everything, two servings."

"Okay, please wait!"

Before long, the food was on the table. Arshila breathed deeply, the tasteful aroma of grilled fish. Sambal young mango is sweet sour and spicy, making him gulp his saliva.

Journey continued. This time, they returned across, the streets deserted and filled with trees. Until, it doesn't feel like they've arrived.

Arshila lowered the car glass. Pay attention to the expanse of rice fields that are still green, along the way. In fact, it shed tears, as its memories retreated slowly. Life was short of things, but he never complained, let alone shed tears.

Now, now,

"Are you okay?"

"I want to visit my parents' grave."

"But it's afternoon. What if tomorrow? We have to get to the inn."

"Just a second. I beg you."

Dave could not resist, the wife asked. Because, to him, calming Arshila was his top priority at the moment.

Dave immediately ordered Tian, heading for the public funeral. Well, before they come. Dave had asked his secretary to find out, about his hometown and the graves of his wife's parents.

Until they, can easily find it, if visiting.

The car turned left, a passageway that looked like a forest. The road is rocky and narrow, which can only be crossed by one car. Tian parked the car, just any. In the absence of parking, parking is provided.

"We must walk, sir."

Dave nodded, then grabbed Arshila's hand to follow her. Tian, Yus sir and the guards, tailed behind them.

About three meters, one by one, the tombs began to be seen. Mounds of soil, overgrown with grass, and gravestones that stick. All the tombs, they look exactly the same. Because, in the countryside there are no tomb guards, who will clean up. Only family or relatives, who will clean it themselves.

"That's there, sir." Point, Tian.

They step back. Dave did not give up his supervision, from his wife. The grip of his hand, getting tighter, because for him the atmosphere in the place looks scary, for his wife who is pregnant.

Deg.

Arshila. The graves of his parents looked different. The restored tomb. There was a bouquet of flowers, which were leaning against the gravestone. Also, the flowers, scattered over the tomb. Not withered, it seems, put down this morning.

Arsha!!

Is that right, it's you? Arshila sat down, watching the surroundings. The next moment, he was already crying. Dropped his body, holding the mother's tombstone.

Mom, dad, I'm home.

Arshila continued to cry, even she was unable to speak. Only her tears, which flowed nonstop.

Mom, mom.

Arshila held onto her chest, which felt tight. He was unable to hold back, something like that was about to explode in his heart.

Dave panicked, it was incredible. He hugged his wife, to calm her down.

"Darling, calm yourself!"

Arshila bowed in. He wanted to tell his parents. But, he was unable to get it out, for some reason. He could only cry and feel suffocated.

Mom, mom. Miss you. Sorry, I just saw you. Dad, I'm sorry!

The sound of crying, Arshila increasingly heart-wrenching and sounding bitter. The memory of her childhood, along with her parents, took Arshila by storm. He missed those moments.

Mother. What, Arsya's back? Did he put flowers for you? Sorry, I didn't take good care of him. Please, I'm sorry, because I'm so useless.

I miss you guys. Missed you guys so much. And mom, dad, please don't ask me who he is. Because of him, no one. I'm back and I'm gonna stay with you.

Arshila sprinkled flowers, which she received from Yus sir. So did Dave, do the same.

Mom, dad. I'm Dave, your son-in-law. Sorry, if we just met you. You guys must hate me, right? I promise to make your daughter happy. I promise I will take care of him for the rest of my life.

Please, give me a chance, to prove it.
