Emi and Nurhalimah chose to go down in front of the pesantren gate. After saying goodbye to ustadz Mohammad Alqof both stepped home. Before parting at a crossroads, Emi whispered something in Nurhalimah's ear.
"I think ustadz fell in love with you. Don't blame me yes, just now ustadz asked for a number from me," Emi said as she ran away leaving Nurhalimah who was still standing looking at her . Nurhalimah ran after Emi who tried to tease her. At a crossroads, the two split up.
Emi walked carefully avoiding the muddy ground in front of her. The rain had subsided but the drizzle still felt down. Emi kept on stepping and when she had approached the old building she stopped.
Emi's heart was suddenly racing. Suddenly it was like something was pulling his leg closer. It was like hearing something up there. Like the sound of someone coughing.
Emi then continued her steps. He was determined to follow his heart to go inside. He had cast out the fear in his heart and only wanted to prove that God's guidance would be seen today.
Emi flicked the vines in front of her and began to duck down the bush aisle in front of her and stopped when she reached the back of the building. Emi sighed. He convinced himself that the decision he made was right. He was sure that the person up there was a good person and would not bother him.
Alfian resumed his prayer after interrupting it with the recitation of the shalawat. This is his twelfth prayer rakaat, after which he will go home. It was soon dark and he did not want his mother to wait in a fret.
After the greeting, Alfian raised his hand and began to pray.
"O Allah, the One who has my soul. O Substance that never disappoints His servant. I plead with all my shortcomings and humiliations. The Servant is the one whom You test with this imperfection in the world, so do not test again the servant later.
Forgive Servant if there have been too many complaints and desperate moans from the servant. It takes time to understand the wisdom in life. Until in the end there are many wisdom that can be taught to the servant.
O Allah, I want a white-hooded girl as a lover who will accompany my life, but I am desperate because she is too perfect for me.
Hambapun do not want to dissolve, not because the servant has given up, but the servant feels that he has tried as much as he can and this is the limit of the effort and ability of the servant. Servant surrender to You, O Substance, where to surrender and where to return, accept all acts of worship of servants and forgive all sins of servants."
Alfian ended his prayer with a swipe of his hand on his face.
The atmosphere in the room was getting darker. It's good to go home before it rains again.
Emi was still standing in her place when she saw a seriously disabled man in her heartwarming long prayer. This is the owner of the poem for the white-hooded girl. Here is the owner of the photo in his dream. This is the man who had told him to step foot in search of his hiding place. Today it will solve everything. He would see his face even if what he saw was the appearance of a terrifying monster. Emi is getting closer.
"Assalamot."
Alfian held his breath. Is it true that the voice he heard was from behind him or is it just his wishful thinking. A soft, hoarse voice sounded in the ears. Alfian still did not want to look. He was still waiting for what he heard.
There was a soft deheman sound from behind.
This time Alfiyan looked slowly. How surprised he was when he saw a white hooded girl standing before him. The girl even smiled at him. His mouth immediately locked. His heart skipped a beat and his breathing stopped.
He rose up and now his position is aligned with Emi. He still could not believe it, but his mouth was still locked. He can't say anything yet.
On his last bow, he prayed to be reunited with the white-hooded woman. And God has granted his prayers. It's too real, it's too perfect for him. The white-hooded woman was standing in front of him. So graceful and dazzling to her. His body could no longer hold back the tremors of his soul.
For a moment the two were silent in the gaze that each other did not want to escape. One eye revealed countless rays of gratitude. And the other eye revealed a marvelous amazement to a young man so amazing that his faraway poems led him to the top of the image.
"Alfian, are you really Alfian? And am I really that white-hooded girl you mean? If I'm right, thank God my search is over. But if I'm wrong, then my search will be really long and make me desperate."
Alfian nodded. Her tears were not held back. He sobbed in his tears. He did not expect that in that place, on the top floor of the old building, God finally met with the girl in a white hood.
The girl he had long since hidden himself only to see him. The girl he cursed, I don't know how many dozens of poems for him. Finally he found one of his poems and the girl managed to find him here.
“For a long time I was looking for a young man who could decorate my days during a stopover with his soft speech. A young man who can lead me to the righteousness of heart and soul. The young man who will fly me to a palace of love, and together can witness the great face of the Creator. Come near, and if you will, pin me on your rhyme and give me a mating with a dhikr and a string of beads that always fill the room and the cots where we unite love. And my assurance will be, the palace of love from the red Yaqut that we will share in heaven.”
Like a deafening thunderbolt in broad daylight. The most beautiful words that made Alfiyan stunned on the spot where he stood. He was shocked and never expected to hear any strange-sounding words in his ears. Strange because it said earlier than the girl's mouth. Strange because it was never suspected. The girl wanted him to confuse her with such a great mascawine.
Alfiyanpun fell on the floor. Her crying again broke out in her gratitude.
Emi stepped closer towards Alfian. He took Alfian's body and helped him rise. Emi then grabs Alfian's walking stick and gives it to Alfian.
"It's dark. It's good to go home" said Emi to take Alfian.
Alfian wiped his tears. He was really happy Emi was so close to him.
"Go home first, I'm afraid people will see us" said Alfian bowed.
"Why think about people. If they don't accept it, why don't they get married tomorrow" Emi said, trying to encourage Alfian.
"I'm afraid you're ashamed of my situation" said Alfian again.
"Why should I be ashamed. If I were embarrassed, I wouldn't be here this long with you. Never mind, let's get down." After saying that, Emi again pulled Alfian down the stairs.
The drizzle was still down when Emi and Alfian had already reached the bottom. Alfian turned towards the gate. He grabbed something under the bushes. A machete was removed after which he began to cut the twig after the twig of the vines.
After the hallway cleared and became a walkway that could be passed, Alfian invited Emi to walk first, but Emi refused. He chose to hold Alfian's body and walk together.
Heavy rain came down again replacing the drizzle that had fallen earlier. Emi and Alfian continued to walk down the water-filled streets. Every now and then when Alfian looked tired, Emi invited him to stop while leaning her head on Alfian's shoulder.
Emi was no longer feeling awkward or ashamed of Alfian. He felt that he had known Alfian first through a dream and felt Alfian close to where and where he was. This was not their first meeting.
They both went back on their journey. But just a few steps, Alfian stopped his steps.
"Isn't that the way home?" alfian asked as he pointed towards the side road.
Emi smiled,
"We go to your house first. I want to see Mom too. I wanted to say that I found you asleep on the street," Emi said trying to tease Alfian. Alfian smiled and they continued their journey.
