The Soul Substitute Trash of the Duke Family

The Soul Substitute Trash of the Duke Family
Chapter 12

"I am facing His Majesty the Sun of the Kingdom." Calvian bowed respectfully to a middle-aged man in kingly attire. He is Grambiel Alleto Seanthuria.

"Your greetings are welcome, Duke." King's voice flat. Duke Castallio straightened his body and looked at the king respectfully. "What are you calling me, Your Majesty?"

"I heard the news that the masked man with red eyes had disappeared some time ago. Investigate his whereabouts and arrest him. I'm worried if he wreaks havoc and shakes the crown prince's position."

"Your Majesty."

King Grambiel did not like people who did not have magic, let alone the existence of people who had the ability to manipulate nature. He did not hesitate to slaughter them like the Tigries clan did.

The Kingdom of Seanthuria was ruled by King Grambiel Alleto Seanthuria. He had a queen named Errena Wilton Seanthuria, an empress named Lydia Monique Seanthuria and a concubine named Anabelle Seranthony Seanthuria.

From his marriage, he had five children. Three women and two men, but he was more fond of the son of the empress and always sent assassins for the second prince but always failed. And now king Grambiel was about to send the second prince to the Moon Shadow academy, hoping that the second prince would never return to the palace again.

"Duke, I heard the news that you've expelled your biological daughter. Is that true?" Grambiel's words made Calvian look at him flatly.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Rubbish doesn't seem to deserve to be in this kingdom." Calvian's cold speech made the king smile with satisfaction.

"Good, good. I'm happy with your decision." King Grambiel was satisfied. "Now you can go."

Calvian immediately left the king smiling happily. For the king of Grambiel, a man who has no mana is a disgrace to the kingdom.

Calvian who walked in the hallway could only clench his hands tightly. If he did not expel Leona, it was likely that the girl would have the same fate as his late beloved wife.

Moreover, Calvian did not really ignore Leona, given her difficult position. One of the girls will be killed in his hands.

She would sacrifice Iris, making the girl like her own biological daughter. Although guilt crept in her heart, she did not want Leona to suffer.

Leona and Jim now arrive at a village that looks seedy but has a beautiful view. This village is still in the Seanthuria region, but this village was ignored by the king and nobles because it is located quite far from the city center and takes a long time to get here. Not to mention the slightly steep terrain and difficult to make the horse carriage unable to enter the village.

The population here is very few. They numbered dozens of people. Their number is always reduced every year because many residents choose to leave the village for a better life.

There is one large two-story building that serves as a place of noble exile. They will stay here to serve both punishment and exile from the kingdom and from their families. Already many nobles who died committed suicide because they were not strong in a remote place. However there was only one noble who was able to survive here and had died some time ago.

"Leona, we've arrived." Jim flat said.

"A beautiful village, but it's a pity that this village is neglected by the kingdom." Leona complained as she stared around coldly when she noticed the hateful gazes directed towards the surrounding residents.

"Why are they looking at me like that?" Leona asked as she stepped foot into the village.

"Because it is very rare for others to enter this village, especially nobles. Especially since the king who now occupies the throne. He doesn't care at all about this village."

Leona nodded in understanding. Maybe because they are from the city, the residents here are wary of him.

Most nobles took people from this village to be personal servants that they could get rid of if they were useless.

Leona ignored that gaze and looked at the beautiful village scene. The slippery, muddy paths do not disgust or make it uncomfortable. The village is surrounded by towering mountains and there is a lake in the north of this village, while the contours of this village resemble hills and have a green savanna that cools the eyes.

There are some teak forests and some abandoned plantations. Though Leona saw that this village has a very good and fertile land.

"Jim, it looks like this village is perfect for where we live. What if we build this village to be better?" Leona asked as she entered a large two-story house. There were three servants who came to greet him kindly.

"Welcome~"

Jim and Leona nodded then entered the house casually followed by a few servants trailing behind them.

"I agree with that. But what about your school?"

"I'll still go to the academy. From now on you are no longer my servant, but you are my brother. I trust you all, Jim." Leona said with a sincere smile.

"Basar brazen child. I'm your uncle, you idiot. Hah~ Masquerading as a waiter turns out to be tiring." Said Jim suddenly that made Leona shocked and thrashed asking to be let go.

"Huh?"

"I finally found you, my niece. You know, all this time I pretended to be your personal servant. Fuck up!" Jim let go of his embrace, he nudged Leona's forehead hard enough to make the master grimace in pain.

Jim told Leona everything, if he was his uncle from the Houlise baron who had been slaughtered by the royal party a few years ago while he was in the academy.

Only he survived and disguised himself as an ordinary young man and sought work in the Castallio residence with a false identity and a letter of recommendation from the Duchess. Luckily he was accepted easily by Lucas and started working there.

Jim who saw Leona's condition at the residence felt sorry for her and volunteered as Leona's personal servant. Although it was difficult, he lived it wholeheartedly in order to be close to his nephew.

Jim is a distant cousin of Miria, Leona's mother. Before Miria died, she begged him to look after Leona before her departure and left Jim a letter.

Jim, who was fourteen at the time, agreed. Moreover, at that time he had just lost his beloved mother and chose to come out of the Houlise residence and settle in this village as the adopted son of an elderly nobleman in exile, Baron Calisius. After hearing Jim's story, Leona only understood by putting on a cute thinking pose.

"So does the royal party know that Uncle is a descendant of Houlise?"

"No. Because of my mother's request not to give me the name Houlise. Luckily the Baron master did not mind, considering he had a myriad of children and concubines in his residence." Obviously Jim.

"Then why did the palace slaughter the Barons?"

"Eitherway. I don't know." Jim said glaringly.

"Uncle, look at this." Leona said and took out a scroll and opened it.

'Poft's'

'Klinting' 'Klinting'

The clattering of gold coins fell on the floor loudly. The longer the gold coins add up to cover the table.

Instantly Jim's eyes widened looking at that huge pile of coins and gold bars and looked at Leona with a look of horror. Same with the servants around them.

"I'm getting from the casino, Uncle. Hehe..." Leona said casually while grinning innocently.

"You robbed?" Accuse Jim of staring intently at Leona who only heard the grin.

"Don't accuse me so recklessly, Uncle. I just bet and managed to make the casino go bankrupt. Not to mention the few foolish nobles who challenged me. So I'll just serve him to the satisfaction, hihi." Leona's voice was long while giggling. Then he put the money back in the reels.

"So what are you going to do in the future, Leona?"

Leona was silent for a while and glanced at the maids that were around her. Jim, who realized that, told them to get out.

"This residence actually belongs to Baron Calisius, as well as to this region. Unfortunately he ignored the residents around here and bought some plots of land, as well as some seeds that he bought from the trade union. The money is gone and this residence leaves them alone." Jim was honest.

"Are they the king's messengers or Calisius's residence?" Leona asked suspiciously.

"They were slaves bought by Baron Calisius. They're staying here because there's no good place for them anymore."

Leona nodded her head and smiled obliquely. Jim who memorized Leona's behavior can only stroke the chest.

"Uncle, let's take a break, then we'll think about tomorrow's plan. Today's trip was exhausting." Said Leona who was immediately approved by Jim.

"Good idea."
