The Story of Margaretha

The Story of Margaretha
24

Like a miracle, Agnes' eyes slowly opened. Janu got up in a hurry. Really, this is a great sight for Janu after being restless all day. For now, Janu breathed a little relieved although still feeling worried because of Agnes' heavy breathing.

"Are you awake, honey?" Janu kissed Agnes' head crest many times. In fact, the man shed tears. Margaretha who saw it retreated her body a few steps and wiped her tears quickly.

"City ...." Instead of answering Janu's question, Agnes looked at Margaretha with compassion. It was as if asking Margaretha to come closer. Margaretha did not budge at all, just a sweet smile that she pinned.

A few seconds later, the doctor came and examined Agnes. Saying thanks because Agnes had regained consciousness even though the girl had to rest a lot and not to think about heavy things.

"Come, Pa. I'm just gonna be with Etha here." Agnes. Janu who initially did not want to leave was finally saying goodbye when he saw the gaze of his daughter who was so begging.

When Janu came out of the room, Margaretha approached and clasped Agnes' hand. Agnes's pale lips were attracted and there appeared a knotty smile that adorned the beautiful face of the girl.

"Hurry to heal, Nes," said Margaretha.

"Thank you, Etha. Do you want to promise me one thing" said Agnes. Look at Margaretha inside. Meanwhile, Margaretha's forehead seemed to shrivel deeply.

"What promise?" tanyakanya.

"If I'm healed, you'll have fun with me. We're gonna go for a walk, get some ice cream and yeah .. whatever it is that matters to both of us" Agnes pinta was like a kid. Margaretha who heard that chuckled.

"Don't tell me you want to buy Boba" Margaretha said half-literate. Agnes pursed her lips. However, a moment later the girl's smile looked flawless.

"Good idea. I will buy Boba and his cart and his brothers who sell all," as well as Agnes. Margaretha was no longer able to hold back her laughter.

"Make what Brother Seller Boba. Do you want to make a husband?" Margaretha shut her mouth to hold her laughter back from exploding.

"Who is, so if we are married, I can be content drinking Boba every day" replied Agnes, again inviting laughter Margaretha. "Eh, help me find a handsome Boba seller. Let's get married, he deserves the condo."

"Good, Agnes." Margaretha held onto her stomach which began to cramp from laughing too much.

Unbeknownst to them, Janu stood in front of the door and peeked out of the glass. Seeing the interaction of Agnes and Margaretha made Janu's heart rustle. She did not expect that it turned out that Agnes and Margaretha could be that close. Janu immediately wiped his tears when he realized that in front of the room, he was not alone. There were three friends of Margaretha who kept staring fixedly at the man.

Janu was about to leave there just to calm down. At the very least, he felt calm as Agnes was joking even very familiar with Margaretha.

Janu who was sitting in the cafeteria while sipping a cup of hot coffee immediately turned to see who was coming. Eldrick. Really, Janu did not expect that the man had come to see him. Uninvited, Eldrick sat down directly in front of Janu. Throwing a look at each other with the man. Next to the corner of Eldrick's lips were attracted when he saw Janu's jaw begin to tighten.

"Why did you come here?" janu asked, trying to resist the irritation.

"Of course take care of my young lady." Eldrick spoke casually. He is not at all afraid of Janu even though the man once shot him to death.

"I did not expect that it turns out you can still live until now" said Janu. Without deciding his glare.

"It's amazing, isn't it? That means God gave me the chance to keep looking after young lady from a vengeful person like you!" Eldrick pointed at Janu's face. However, Janu smiled cynically. "Smile before I imprison you!"

Janu's smile faded away instantly. Feeling caught up with Eldrick's threat. It was not the iron bars that worried Janu, but Agnes. If he had to go to jail, what about Agnes? Janu couldn't have left his daughter alone.

"You scared?" Eldrick laughed softly when he saw Janu was silent. "You just calm down. Andra, my son is taking care of everything. Gather evidence to incriminate your charges later. It's enough you hurt my young lady."

"I beg you, stop it. I realized it's been wrong all along. I'll turn myself in, but once my daughter's healthy." The brave Janu now disappears, turning into a fragile man who worries about his daughter. The creepy Janu is now a man who is so compassionate and asks for mercy.

"You think I'd be fooled by that fucking face of yours!" Eldrick again pointed at Janu's face. "You're so worried about your daughter, but have you been thinking about how sick a young lady is to live this life without her parents?"

"I just want Anjani's son to feel what Agnes feels. Agnes must also be hurt because she lives without her mother's affection. My daughter is equally hurt." Janu sigh*hkan breath into the air roughly. Trying to hold back emotions so as not to overflow.

When the conversation was tense, Janu's phone rang. The man immediately received a call from Wibisono.

"Master, we're surrounded now."

Janu was speechless when he heard Wibisono's voice from across the phone so hurriedly. He was also able to catch the sound of police car sirens, albeit vaguely.

"Damn!" Janu turned off the call unilaterally and hurried to get up and prepare to leave, but Eldrick immediately restrained the man's arm.

"Please wait here because soon someone will welcome you." Eldrick smiled slanted, while Janu looked increasingly anxious. The man was shocked when he saw two men in police uniforms walking over.

"Oh my God ..." sizzled Janu.
