Dinner continued, none of them said a word until they had finished their dinner.
"Gane," called Mr. Hardika while putting down his glass. Gane looked at him.
"Yes, Uncle." Sahut Gane while wiping the area of his mouth.
"Tomorrow we'll have a lawyer like you asked, Uncle asked not to go to the office." Mr. Hardika said, while Mr. Pras only keeps loyal listeners.
"There's something more important in my office, Uncle. Take it easy, I'll be home in time." Said Gane who could not be contested over his decision. No one dared to start his decision, all could only remain silent.
"All right, it's up to you." Said Mr. Hardika. Without saying anything, Gane went straight back to her room.
"Sister Gane," call Vandu to stop his cousin's brother's footsteps. Gane stopped, but did not look back.
"What's wrong?" ask Gane who is still in position.
"Am I allowed to take Brother Nanney for a walk? I just wanted to take her, no intention whatsoever." Answer Vandu expectantly.
"I will never allow you, no matter what the reason. If you want to go for a walk, isn't there David? just take David." Said Gane who of course felt furious listening to him.
"Alright, if Brother Gane doesn't allow me to take Brother-in-law." Vandu said full of disappointment, Gane himself did not care and preferred to go back into his room.
Nanney could only shut up. But not with his mind. Instead Nanney imagined that his brother-in-law would vent his frustration on him.
"Nanney, it's night, it's time to take a break. Go back to your room, and right forget to take care of your health. Be patient, you can get through it." Mother Sere said cheeringly, Nanney nodded and smiled.
"Thank you very much, Auntie. Good night, excuse me." Nanney replied saying goodbye, Mother Sere also smiled at him.
Now there are some people who are still in the dining room, who else if not Mr. Hardika with his son and Mr. Pras and his children and wife.
"It's night, we better take a break. Remember, tomorrow we're gonna have a lawyer." Said Mr. Hardika, while Mr. Pras just nodded and smiled faintly.
After nothing else was talked about, all returned to their respective rooms, including Vandu and David.
While in the room, Gane was busy thinking about the advice of Ciko. The advice that asked him to get married, of course, made Gane more frustrated.
"What kind of advice is that, asking me to get married." Gane muttered while leaning on the head of his bed. Gane closed his eyes occasionally. I hope he gets a more positive idea.
Still, Gane still hasn't found the bright spot. "Married, married, really makes my head feel like it's going to break." Again Gane continued muttering while looking for ideas.
Not one idea he got, Gane turned to the nightstand next to his bed. Take a small frame with a picture of her with Clara, a photo that is very outdated. However, it remains an encouragement for his life.
"Clara, I've missed you so much up to this point. If you were always by my side, my life would be colorful. It's all dark, dark like the shadow of my life that I've been living." Gane muttered while hugging her photo with the woman she always missed while closing her eyes with her mind filled with memories of her past.
Instantly, Gane awakens to the sound of a cell phone that has shocked her. Gane turned back to a Nakas, picked up his cell phone and saw who sent him a message.
Carefully and meticulously, Gane read it with nothing to miss.
"Ci-ko, Ciko. There's just your advice, it's really ridiculous." Gane grumbled after getting a message from Ciko.
While thinking about the advice of Ciko, Gane again remembered the idea that had been residing in his mind. Her memory goes back to the one she was meant to be, the one who had to pay for her sister's death.
The grin looks cynical, as if Gane has found a new game.
"It was also Ciko's advice. One paddle, how many islands can I cross." He said triumphantly.
Different in the other room, where Nanney was agitated to think about his next fate. Many times Nanney changed his sleeping position to get a good night's sleep, still he was unable to close his eyes.
The thoughts that he had cleared, still continued to be in the mind of his mind. Breathing that suddenly feels tight and a heartbeat that beats very fast.
Due to anxiety, Nanney chose to rise from her sleeping position. Sitting anxiously, Nanney recalled charging his phone. A smile adorned both corners of her lips.
"Finally, I can call Grandma. I miss him so much, and I want to get together with Grandma and Hennyta." Nanney muttered with a smile as what she missed was no longer far from her wishful thinking.
At that time, Nanney began to think about finding a way to get away from her husband's family home. Because of his impatient feelings, Nanney finally sent a message to his family in his hometown. The village has become his life-saving.
"Hopefully, Henny didn't change her phone number." Nanney murmured expectantly, hope anxiously.
"Henny, how are you? how's Grandma doing? all right, all right? I'm Nanney."
A greeting message has been sent by Nanney, hoping to receive a reply.
Five minutes, ten minutes, thirty minutes, up to an hour and changing hours, still no reply from Henny.
Nanney who felt bored waiting for a reply until late at midnight, finally Nanney could only endure his sadness.
"Did Henny change her phone number? then, where is he? why don't you tell me if you changed her phone number. Grandma, how is Grandma. I really don't know what to do, I'm still confused to get out of this house. Yesterday, when I was getting married, I couldn't reach her either. And now, I must have the same fate. Again I could not contact Grandma, not even her social media accounts, none of them were active. I wish I could get out of this house, no matter what." His words were full of disappointment because they did not get a reply from his brother in his hometown first.
Because there was no other way but to escape from her husband's house, while Nanney chose to be nice to her husband's family.
Nanney who was already feeling sleepy, immediately he moved to his bed. I hope all that is expected will be well, he thought.
