One who has no light cannot be made a lamp for others. How will the shadow be straight when the wood is bent? Allah Swt. revealed to Isa ibn Maryam, “Advise yourself! If you have taken counsel, then counsel the people. If not, be ashamed of me.” Our Prophet said, “I leave for you two counselors: the one who speaks and the one who is silent.”

The counsellor who speaks is the Koran, while the silent is death. Both are enough for those who are willing to take advice. Who would not take counsel and both, how would he counsel others? I've been careful with both. Then I countenance and accept it with words and reason, but not in reality and in deeds. I say to this self, “Do you believe that the Qur'an is a speaking counsel and a true seer, and is the word of God brought down without any error, from the front or behind?” He replied, “True.” Allah Swt. said, “Who desires the life of the world and its jewels, We shall give him the recompense of their deeds in the world and they in this world will not be harmed. They will have nothing in the Hereafter except Hell. And all their charities were killed and did not do what they did” (Q.S. Hud: 15-16).
