Chapter 40. Sanders's Surprise

Devano rushed to Mahalini's bed, where he was lying down. Looking at the sweat grains on his forehead, Devano held Mahalini's forehead with his back and he was surprised that Mahalini was in a fever.

''You have a fever, '' said Devano, who came out of Mahalini's room to take the basin and cold water to compress Mahalini.

''Sick,'' Mahalini muttered in a soft tone, as Devano entered Mahalini's room back with a basin in his hands.

''What is sick?'' devano asked, frowning, considering that Mahalini was still closed. But Mahalini's hand held her stomach with both her hands.

''Your stomach is sick, ''' Devano is currently in the middle of worry, considering that Devano has never cared for sick people before. ''Am I just call the doctor, to make sure the situation,'' again Devano just muttered while continuing to put the cloth that had been wet with a wet cloth to Mahalini's forehead.

Devano reached into his pants pocket, and took out a cell phone to contact his personal doctor.

-''There's Van,'' asked someone across the street.

''Thank you, '' said Devano coldly, though in a cold tone, but the dispensary employee nodded softly as he replied.

Devano walks towards the car and drives away to a restaurant, considering Mahalini must not have eaten dinner. Devano played some food for Mahalini, so that he could take the medicine he bought.

''Who gave this cloth to my forehead, '' murmured Mahalini who woke up because she felt like she wanted to go to the bathroom. ''What could have been Mr. Devan doing all this, Mahalini held onto the still wet cloth, and placed it inside the basin that was beside him.

''You're awake, '' asked Devano to put a plastic bag over the nightstand, next to Mahalini's bed.

Mahalini nodded slowly, and was still standing in front of her bathroom door.

''Sit here and eat? I brought you some food and then took the medicine, Devano said at length.

Mahalini simply complied, and followed Devano's direction telling her to sit on the sofa. Devano Beejalan took the food he had put on the nightstand before his.

''Eat it, I'll get you some water, '' he said by giving a rice box with some side dishes inside.

Mahalini again nodded, responding to Devano's remarks, Mahalini was deeply moved by Devano's very caring nature towards him.
