Horses ran fast, carrying only three passengers following along the coastal road. If the horse could be given a little power in, surely Sungsang Geni had done it since the first.
While Cempaka Ayu and Commander Ireng were in the transport cart, peering out of the small open window. Notice the white waves rolling in a chase, or also notice some people throwing nets. It looks quieter than Java.
Once in a while Cempaka Ayu and Commander Ireng clashed when the cart entered into a hollow road or wheels tripped some pebbles. Sungsang Geni is not a reliable horse coachman, sometimes the wheel of the cart drove up out of the main road.
Every border of the village they passed, a large flag fluttered, blue with the symbol of the sun shining right in the middle of the flag. Coat of arms of glory, strength and justice for the kingdom of Swarnadwipa.
At first glance the emblem was similar to the sun seal that was on the forehead of Cempaka Ayu, even if they were aware of it the fire flower carvings surrounding the matahri on the flag were similar to the fire marks on the arms of Sungsang Geni.
But apparently, Sungsang Geni realized that. I don't know what? But being on this land makes her suddenly miss the figure of a mother, miss her home or miss something that makes her heart suddenly pounding.
“What happened to me?” The young man muttered as he palpated his claustrophobic chest. “I'm like I've set foot in this place.”
After walking for a full day, the young man stopped the horse carriage at the end of the village. Right on the edge of the rice field that spread wide, with yellowed rice ready for harvest. Some people are seen driving away sparrows that go and come and go.
“Are we going to rest here?” Cempaka Ayu got out of the horse carriage, approaching the young man who was busy tying the horse rope to the coconut tree standing right on their left side.
“Ya, we'll take a short break here.” Sungsang Geni was still busy taking care of his horse. “We release the afternoon time, and resume the journey after.”
“Geni, Why are you so upset? Do you have a problem.” Cempaka Ayu asked in surprise.
“Really? Maybe just your feelings.” the young man looked at the twilight sun that made the sea yellowish red. “See there! This kind of scenery is very rare to find in the plain Java.”
Cempaka Ayu stared at the western horizon with sparkling eyes. True, this was a rare sight that could not be seen every time in his hometown. Similarly to Commander Ireng, the animal intends to howl so happy, if not realize the situation is not possible.
After quite a while, and the sun began to disappear, sinking in the vast ocean, Finally the three of them resumed their journey.
“Geni isn't it already night, shouldn't we rest for a while.” Cempaka Ayu said. “Because we carry horse carts, it may be difficult to see the way.”
“I know, we'll walk slowly. Besides I can still see quite clearly in the dimness of the night.” Sungsang Geni then smiled slightly as he touched the girl's cheek.
The horse then drove back, this time not so fast. While Cempaka Ayu was still thinking about Sungsang Geni which he thought was not the same as his usual days.
The girl saw there was a burden of thought, or perhaps a burden of feeling on the young man's face. If it is related to the people of Java plain, then why did the attitude of Sungsang Geni change only today?
'What happened to him?' The beautiful girl's inner murmur.
After a long walk, they saw a long line of people waiting in line in front of them. From their appearance, it looks like a merchant carrying their livestock and farm produce.
Sungsang Geni got off the horse-drawn carriage and approached an old man carrying a large wagon loaded with sacks and pulled in a white cow.
“Kisanak, if you may know what happened?” ask Sungsang Geni.
“There is a master check,” replied the person.
“Checkup? What are they checking?”
Cempaka Ayu just peeked out of the wagon window, seeing Sungsang Geni appearing to be talking to a human. Not long after he saw the young man had returned.
“Geni, what happened there?” ask Cempaka Ayu.
“It was Swarnadwipa warriors, they were doing the inspection.” Sungsang Geni then gave something to Cempaka Ayu. “It was the hunter badge I picked up, hopefully it can help us get through their guard.”
“How about Commander Ireng?”
“We'll make it the key to entering their care.” Sungsang Geni then returned to ride the wagon, and followed the long line. “Cathat Ireng to look convincing!”
After almost an hour, now finally came Sungsang Geni's turn to be examined.
“Show your ID!” one of the guards said.
Sungsang Geni gave the badge to the guard, the person several times noticed Sungsang Geni's face then went back to paying attention to the badge and switched on the big wagon behind him.
“What do you guys bring?” ask the guard again.
“Begini sir, we are hunters tasked with catching wolves that have recently unsettled farmers.” Sungsang Geni then got off the wagon. “We managed to catch a wolf that bullies it, if you do not believe please old check it yourself.”
Hearing the words of Sungsang Geni some of the other soldiers put on an expression of disbelief, then the officer who was serving the young man walked gallantly closer to the door of the wagon.
“Master, you should not be surprised because the wolf is very ferocious and still alive.”
“I'm not afraid of animals like that.”
The man then opened the door of the cart, but he had not yet seen the contents in the wagon that was dark enough, Commander Ireng had surprised with a large wagon, showing long canines and a black muzzle.
“Ahkkk!” the young man was suffocated, after his face had almost come into contact with the sharp teeth of Commander Ireng."Close door! It's closed!"
“Quiet sir, calm down!” Sungsang Geni immediately picked up the man. “I told you that the wolf is very big and ferocious, I intend to bring the bones alone. But considering there is a party soon, one of the animal handlers asked him to be used as an animal show.”
That person was still overwhelmed with anxiety, it took some time for him to catch his breath well.
“If you don't let me in, I'll put it in this place.the animal handler will probably pick it up the day after...”.
“Stupid, if he got off his chain like where? You want us all in danger?” the person then left Sungsang Geni in a fit of annoyance. “You bring the animal directly to the animal handler, considering soon a big party maybe the animal show will be an interesting spectacle.”
Sungsang Geni smiled a little, then closed the door of the wagon again while winking at Commander Ireng and Cempaka Ayu who were not so visible in the dark shadows.
"Yes, the braggart." Cempaka Ayu chuckled.
“Let this hunter come in!” the man asked some soldiers to raise the barrier, then shouted at the person behind the Geni Sungsang cart. “ Next! You what did you bring in that big wagon of yours?”
