"You really feel worthy of being my personal student? Finding Soul Beasts alone is already difficult for you, don't expect to be able to follow in my footsteps!"
Wang Yin caught every sharp word that slid from Hen Bun Xuashi's lips, piercing into his heart like a golden dagger. His gaze became a glass that reflected deep disappointment, and a sense of disbelief that blurred the light of his spirit. However, behind the rift of his heart, his fiery blood continued to flow within him.
Although his heart was wounded by that sharp rejection, he would not allow despair to overwhelm him. In a twisted silence, he raised his chin steadily, and his words slid with a calm voice yet contained a bluffing power.
“I know that my Soul Beast quest has not been successful, I am ready to receive Master's direction and training to develop my abilities. I will work hard beyond my own limits,” said Wang Yin.
“Will and dedication are not everything" Hen Bun Xuashi said in a cold tone.
"You must have a rare inner sharpness and instinct. You must be able to see what is hidden behind the scenes and control the spiritual energy with indisputable precision."
"With this hard exercise, are you ready to risk losing a part of your body? Are you willing to endure it? I won't give any guarantee that you'll be okay during training with me. The present generation only cares about the end result without paying attention to the consequences of the process!" Hen Bun Xuashi sarcastically made Wang Yin realize how serious Hen Bun Xuashi was in making his choice.
Wang Yin maintained her firmness, emphasizing her courage and determination.
"With such hard training, I am ready to face it. I understand the risks involved and I am prepared to face any consequences that may occur. Not only do I want the end result, but I'm also ready to go through a difficult process to grow and develop."
Hen Bun Xuashi simply shook his head cynically, regarding Wang Yin's words as foolish ignorance.
"Don't waste your time. You do not have what it takes to be part of this spiritual world. Leave my workroom now!"
In a shackled silence, Hen Bun Xuashi drove Wang Yin out of her workplace. His piercing gaze rained down on Wang Yin's soul, emitting a deep sense of pinch and disappointment. Wang Yin felt a cold ripple slip along his spine as he stepped in the desolate corridor.
In each step of his way to his dorm, Wang Yin pondered about the words Hen Bun Xuashi had pierced into his heart. The sense of failure and rejection is like a chain that binds his desire to move forward.
Wang Yin paused for a moment in her footsteps, looking at the dark night sky. The flashes of starlight reminded him of a very precious memory. He remembered the face of his father, who always accompanied him on nights like this.
"Dad," he thought to himself, "I know you see me from a faraway place. I'm not just gonna give up. I will prove to you and to myself that I can be stronger and braver."
In the darkness of a challenging night, Wang Yin pumped her adrenaline. He would not let the rejection of Hen Bun Xuashi tear down his spirit. Instead, it only strengthened his resolve to prove his ability.
"No matter how difficult this Soul Beast quest is, I will not back down," he said inwardly, in a voice full of decisiveness. "I will transcend my boundaries and attain true power. I don't need anyone's approval."
With determination imprinted in his heart, Wang Yin continued her journey with steady steps.
Wang Yin stepped past the notice board that contained a list of students with the most potential points and Soul Beasts. He had actually read the board before, but something caught his eye this time. Quickly, his eyes searched for the names emblazoned on top, looking for the presence of his name among them.
However, when his eyes reached the bottom of the notice board, there was an unexpected surprise. Wang Yin's name was listed at the very end, with the number of points far below those of the other students.
With a sudden movement, Wang Yin tore the notice board into two pieces with a powerful hand. Fragments of paper fly in the night wind, symbolizing his anger and dissatisfaction with the results shown.
The next morning, a ray of sunshine slowly shone on the large and spacious field where the students gathered for practice. All students are prepared, ready to hone their skills under the guidance of Myrin, who plays an important role in this training. Under these circumstances, Myrin led the training vigorously, using her sword skills that could be linked to her Soul Beast.
Wang Yin sat casually at the side of the field, watching with interest how each move was done with skill by the students who possessed Soul Beasts. He felt a little jealous, realizing that he still did not have his own Soul Beast. However, Wang Yin did not let that jealousy dampen her spirit.
When Wang Yin was paying attention. With a light step, Leena walked over to Hen Bun Xuashi who was standing nearby, closely monitoring the movements of the students who were practicing.
"Uspecting, Wang Yin still doesn't have a Soul Beast, does she?" leena asked in a curious tone.
Hen Bun Xuashi glanced at Leena for a moment, realizing her presence. His face still looked solemn and cold as usual, yet there was a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Did Wang Yin have received training from you, Master Xuashi?" leena asked curiously.
Hen Bun Xuashi looked at Leena with sharp eyes, no satisfaction emanated. Slowly, he shook his head, expressing his disapproval.
"No" said Hen Bun Xuashi in a low voice, but firm enough to be heard. "I refused his request. Wang Yin wasn't ready to receive that training."
“He deserves a chance to develop himself."
"Determination and passion are not everything" he said in a cold tone. "Wang Yin Points were far below the other students who possessed Soul Beasts. He's not ready to follow in my footsteps." Leena tried to argue again.
“Master Xuashi, why not take a first look at Wang Yin's abilities without a Soul Beast? I'm sure Master was curious about what he would do.”
Hen Bun Xuashi frowned, hesitant at the advice given by Leena. His sharp gaze traced Leena's face, trying to understand the reason behind the proposal.
"Why should I care about what Wang Yin can do without the Soul Beast?" hen Bun Xuashi said in a hoarse voice.
Leena looked at Hen Bun Xuashi with eyes full of confidence, while her hand holding the fan was wide open. It swings its fan in gentle motion, creating a breeze that adds to the dramatic atmosphere.
"With permission, Master Xuashi," Leena said in a steady voice. "Because it could give Master a more complete picture of the potential and talent that Wang Yin possessed."
He closed his fan steadily, holding his breath for a moment. "Facing challenges without relying on the Soul Beast will show its true resilience and ability. I'm sure Master is curious about Wang Yin's undisclosed potential."
Hen Bun Xuashi traced Leena's face with a skeptical gaze, but a look of desire was hidden in his cold eyes. He thought for a moment, considering whether to give Wang Yin a chance.
After a few seconds that felt as if time had stopped, Hen Bun Xuashi finally lowered his head firmly.
"Alright, Leena," said Hen Bun Xuashi in a low but authoritative voice.
"I will give one chance to Wang Yin. He would fight with students who had high points and the most potential Soul Beasts. However, don't expect me to hold back."
