Chapter 23. The Situation at the School Gate

Zee walks quietly on her way home from school. By chance, he meets Ryan. The man was walking with his two best friends, namely Karma and Shah.

While crossing paths with Zee, Ryan is seen pretending to be busy with his phone, distracting him from Zee. This action was done to show that he wanted to avoid interaction with Zee. Maybe he has a certain reason not to interact with Zee, right now.

On the other hand, Karma greeted Zee kindly. Karma's friendly attitude suggests that she is quite open to interaction, as she has a good relationship with Zee as a friend.

Karma's attitude shows that he is a friendly and sociable person among their friends, or at least he is a better person than his other two friends.

However, the reaction of the Shah is different. He simply raised the corner of his lips with a sinister look. He was very obvious to show a feeling of displeasure with the presence of Zee. There was a visible tension between Zee and Shah, and that was the result of yesterday's events.

The corner of the rising lips and the cynical gaze hinted at the attitude of the Shah who was underestimating Zee.

The reaction of the three people as friends turned out to be different.

Ryan who pretended to be busy with his phone, Karma who greeted Zee kindly, while Syah showed a cynical attitude.

But, Zee did not care and just smiled at a Karma.

After the three of them arrived at the parking lot, far from Zee's reach, Karma began to open her voice. It tells the story of Zee's life in an orphanage along with the other residents.

"Hey, you know, Zee is actually from an orphanage. He lived there since childhood, and there was Amy's mother who was his caretaker. Zee is strong and passionate, despite the challenges of life."

Fiery, Karma began to tell Zee about his life in the orphanage.

The shah doesn't care. He also felt uninterested. "Hm, yes." he muttered indifferently.

"You should hear the story, Ryan! At the parlour, Zee had wonderful little sisters. They are all smart and friendly. Every day, Zee and her sisters learn together and support each other. Many, not as lonely as in my house."

After saying so, Karma actually felt sad when she remembered the state of her family. She only lives with her grandparents, while her parents are separated and have their own lives.

Ryan was silent, but actually listened to the explanation from Karma. In fact, Ryan also already knows clearly how the real situation of Zee outside the school.

But Karma doesn't care. She kept talking, telling me about the orphanage life that Amy's mother ran.

"Mother Amy is a wonderful babysitter. He gives Zee and the sisters sincere attention and affection. Mother Amy always encourages them to achieve their dreams and be the best version of themselves."

Hearing the Karma that kept chattering, Shah shook his head cynically. "What's the point of this story?" ketus tanyanya.

Karma smiled, then gave an answer as the reason.

"The use is for us to understand Zee's background and appreciate his struggles. Zee is a tough girl and has a noble soul. The existence of Amy's mother and the sisters of the orphanage means a lot to Zee. They provide support and happiness in his life in the orphanage. He was also not a spoiled and crybaby figure!"

Ryan watched and responded to Karma's explanation.

"Zee really had an amazing trip. I'm amazed by her strength and the support she's received from Amy's mother and the sisters."

But because of Ryan's shrill voice, and the motor voices of students starting to turn the engine on, Shah didn't really listen to Ryan's response about Zee's life. The shah doesn't care at all.

A cryptic nod to Ryan, unnoticed by Shah. Moreover, Karma, who still passionately told about Zee's life in the orphanage to the two of them.

Unfortunately, Syah still does not care and considers Ryan to be silent without caring, just like him. She even sneered at Karma, who continues to be passionate about giving an idea of Amy's mother as a caretaker and Zee's smart and friendly sisters.

Karma tries to convey the importance of understanding Zee's background and appreciating her struggles.

In fact, only Ryan quietly listened and acknowledged the incredible journey Zee had gone through.

Ryan's personality is hard to guess. He was impressed as someone mysterious and reclusive. Although she knows about Zee's background coming from the orphanage, Ryan chooses to keep quiet and not reveal his knowledge to others.

This more silent attitude, sometimes makes others think it does not care or not interested.

However, behind that closeness is hidden a deep caring and compassionate nature. Ryan secretly became a donor who helped the orphanage, without ever revealing his identity to anyone. He does this selflessly and without seeking recognition or praise from others.

His actions show his altruistic nature and desire to help without putting himself out.

Ryan's mysterious personality reflects his shyness or lack of confidence in openly social interactions. He feels more comfortable operating behind the scenes, doing good without being the center of attention.

Although not much is known about Ryan, his kindness and concern for Zee and the orphanage show that he has a good heart.

"Young Master. There are several orphanages, which are in the Bekasi area, he said he was looking for new donors. This is because the old donor is not active, or some have died."

One of Ryan's men, gave a report to him as he sat by the pool.

Ryan's house is indeed very large with complete facilities. In addition to the swimming pool, there is also a special room for sports.

The person nodded obediently then immediately left from Ryan's side. But before he actually left, Ryan called out to him again.

"Wait!"

Hearing his young master call the person to a sudden stop then turn his head, waiting for instructions and the next task.

"Is papa coming home soon?" ask Ryan to hope.

"Sorry, Young Master. It would be best for the Young Master to find out and ask the Great Lord himself."

Ryan took a deep breath. He did not want to contact his parents. But if Ryan asks when they come home, his parents always give the same answer.

'We're still busy, baby. You, just arrange everything in Jakarta, huh?'

Ryan's hand waved, asking his person to leave immediately. He did not want to, if anyone else saw him grieving.
