The Tainted Bride

The Tainted Bride
Chapters 14. Parasitic Man

Reza then exited the room and walked into the guest room. Olivia only saw the backs of the two passing by her.

"Ah, it's up to Mas Reza. I had to control myself before I fell in love too deeply with her. Remember Oliv he married you not because he liked or loved you. He just saved the good name of himself and his family in front of the crowd." Olivia reminded herself.

"You should be more ashamed of God than of man. If you really love Meilin why not just replace your woman who left. Why put myself in your life? Akh, it is possible that this has been the course of my life destiny. Let's just hope the first night of our relationship doesn't get me pregnant" Olivia murmured and closed the door.

He no longer cared what the two men of different types did in the guest room.

In the room Olivia plays her phone. He hesitated between telling his in-laws or not.

"No need, pity your mother when she hears this." Olivia put her phone back on the nightstand. He couldn't possibly mess up the happiness of the in-laws who were so happy to see her son finally get married.

Days change, months change. Since bringing Meilin home, Reza decided not to return to her room with Olivia. The man prefers to sleep alone in the guest room. Reza only goes into the room when he wants to take a change of clothes.

However, Olivia continues to carry out her duties as a wife. Cleaning the house, washing Reza's clothes and also cooking for her husband. Inwardly hoping that Reza would change. Being kind to her and being a warm man, not a man who looked at her coldly and cuckooly like these two months.

"My money is gone and the ingredients in the kitchen are gone" Olivia reported one night as Reza returned home.

Olivia knew Reza couldn't have come home late at night like this from the office, but the man wandered off before finally coming home. Olivia was reluctant to ask because she would definitely not get an answer.

"You need money?" ask Reza.

Olivia nodded with a smile, rarely did Reza respond to her words even though they lived together under one roof.

"If you need money, work! What do you think I'm walking Bank?!" snapped Reza to make Olivia gasp in shock.

"But what do I have to do? Isn't your money I used to buy kitchen and bathroom necessities. It's not just my need. You eat too" protested Olivia. He never used the money Reza had given him before for personal gain. Even two months into her marriage to Reza, Olivia did not buy a single set of clothes for herself.

"It's none of my business. Just think to yourself don't you have a brain too?!"

Olivia took a deep breath and exhaled violently.

"Well," he said.

"Remember don't try to report to your mom! Or do you really want to be a beggar?"

Without answering Reza's words, Olivia retreated backwards.

Olivia goes into the room and picks up the ring her father gave her. The ring was given by her father without Marisa's knowledge so Olivia never wore the ring and instead hid it.

Olivia has to sell the ring.

"It seems enough to buy the ingredients of the nasi uduk." Olivia intends to sell rice while looking for job vacancies. If he's looking for a job without a sale, maybe his hungry stomach will fill up. Isn't it very difficult to get a job in the city just armed with High School? Even if accepted most can not immediately work and will pay after work reaches one month.

Yes Olivia decided to pursue the business as when she was still with her mother.

As Olivia looked around at the ring in hand, her phone sounded vibrating. Without thinking, Olivia grabbed him.

"Hello Ma'am."

"Oliv send mom money!"

"Olivia doesn't have any money."

"Lying, Reza doesn't have money."

Olivia breathed a heavy sigh.

"Mas Reza hasn't been paid," he lied.

"Have you not? It's the 2nd, right?"

"Yes, but the payday is slashed next month because the company where Mas Reza worked began to go bankrupt" said Olivia carelessly.

"What about? I want to take your grandmother to the doctor." There was a worried voice on the phone.

"Why grandma?" ask Olivia to panic.

"His asthma disease relapsed. If not immediately taken to the hospital fear getting worse."

"Indeed, you don't have that kind of savings or sales?"

"Where there's Oliv, I've stopped selling."

"What's? Mommy stopped selling? What kind of mother, if not selling again where can the money for the cost of living mother and grandmother?" Olivia riled up herself.

"Since you've been married to Reza, Wati and Tomi who guarantee the living expenses of your mother and grandmother. They usually send us money every month, but this month may be slow. So please Oliv send mom money!"

"Yes, yeah. Later Oliv try to ask Mas Reza. How much do you need?"

"500 grand all together."

"Yes I called Mas Reza first."

Olivia hung up the phone call and looked back at the ring on her left hand.

"Hopefully enough" he said expectantly.

"Hah deserved Mas Reza likes to threaten this it's about mom and grandma. It turns out they ate from mom and dad's money. Mommy, mother! Why don't you ever change anyway? When did you stop being a parasite like this?" Olivia grunted in annoyance.
