The Tainted Bride

The Tainted Bride
Chapter 6. Olivia's Worries

"What's wrong?" asked Olivia to see Reza and Marisa both looking far ahead with a smile.

"Ah it's okay, we're taking pictures again" said Reza. She felt no need to tell Olivia because she was lazy to explain. Nor would Olivia know Harlan.

"Oh yeah Oliv, mom get off first huh. Hungry" said the mother, holding her stomach.

"Yes, Mom."

Marisa came down from the pelaminan and walked towards Harlan. However, before reaching his side, the man turned around and left without saying a word of goodbye to Reza.

Seeing the man leave, Marisa immediately turned towards the buffet table and joined the guests who had yet to finish their meal.

That day Reza and Olivia were too busy welcoming guests who were still arriving until the afternoon.

Reza is just a regular employee at a major corporation in the city. However, almost all employees who work in the company where he works are invited. Tomi Barata was a cop who had so many friends that the guests who came on that day were truly endless.

"Mas I'm tired." Olivia felt her waist ache after a day of seeing guests. Moreover, he who has never worn high hills feels tormented after a day of wearing high-heeled sandals. His legs and calves felt sore and cramping.

"I'm going to go to my mom for a break" Reza said.

Both of them wanted to leave the party. Reza walked towards Wati and said what Olivia was complaining about.

While Reza is chatting with her mother, Olivia's hand is pulled by Marisa.

"Mothers are alone" Olivia protested because she was completely shocked that someone pulled her hand suddenly.

"Just warn you! Don't want to be touched by Reza if the house you live in is not in your name!"

Deg.

Olivia was immediately worried. Not because of the mother's orders but because she remembered that she had been touched by another man. What if Reza asks about it?

"How's Olivia, you know what I mean? So that woman is a little expensive. Time to be married only with a dowry a set of prayer tools doang. It's a good thing your in-laws don't have a kere mentality so he's adding gold" said Marisa.

"Already Ma. This mom married Olivia or want to sell Olivia anyway?"

"If you can do both, why not. So people have to take advantage of the opportunities." Marisa pushed Olivia's forehead back with her index finger and went straight away.

Olivia just shook her head while rubbing her forehead. Fortunately, no one was looking at him. Otherwise he would be ashamed to get such treatment from his own mother.

"Yes, my mother will call the driver first to deliver to the house of both of you." Wati and Tomi have prepared a house to live in by the child and his daughter-in-law because if you have to live at home with parents fear Olivia is awkward.

"Good Ma. I went there to get Olivia."

"Yes there."

Reza returns to Olivia's side while Wati looks for the driver's whereabouts.

Moments later Wati has returned with her family's private driver and Reza takes Olivia's hand to Wati.

"You're going home with the driver, let me see the guest."

"But it's really okay Ma?" ask Reza to doubt. He did not want his family to be embarrassed because people would consider the bride impolite, leaving guests at the wedding.

"If it's gonna be a problem, we'll just rest in this house."

"It's okay, let me talk to the guests later that you're dizzy and not feeling well. If you are still here you will definitely not be able to rest on your own. Do you know what your friends are doing when they come here? He'll definitely look for you in the room and tease you."

"Good Ma then we'll say goodbye." Reza shakes her hand followed by Olivia too. After saying goodbye to Wati they immediately met Tomi who seemed to chat with his friends.

"It seems you are impatient! It's still 7pm Rez," teased one of Tomi's friends.

Reza and Olivia simply replied with a smile.

"Yes Pa."

After greeting the hand of the papa and all the friends of Barata gathered at the place. Olivia and Reza are taking a break from Marisa.

"Go!" marisa said with an annoyed look on her face.

"Why your mother?" reza asked to see that Marisa didn't seem happy.

"That's let it go. He likes to change."

"Kayak chameleon dong" Reza joked while walking away from Marisa still with Olivia's hand.

"Mending Chameleons change color can be seen because they adjust to the habitat. Well mom no wind no rain her attitude does like to change."

"And how do we work around this?"

"I've let it go all this time. But if I am too much I have to fight."

They kept talking while walking towards the car park.

Reza often joked and made Olivia laugh sometimes. For a moment the woman forgot her worries.

Until the moment he entered and leaned on the car then Olivia remembered again his heartbreak. He regretted it because before getting married with Reza did not explain what happened to him.

But isn't telling your own disgrace a sin?

"I have to how?" Olivia asked in her heart. His mind he squeezed in order to reject Reza when he was going to take her to sleep.

The journey they took for 2 hours felt very fast for Olivia. In her heart she hoped to get home when the night was late so Reza could go straight to sleep.

"It's up to us to get down!" take Reza when the car reaches the front of the house.

Olivia nodded and went down.

"Den I went back to Mr. Tomi's house, yes" said the driver.

"Yes, be careful" said Reza.

"Yes Den." The driver turned the steering wheel and came back out of Reza's yard.

"What do you think of his house? For a while now yes. Later if I already have money I buy a bigger and wider."

There was no response from Olivia.

"Oliv?"

"Ah yes Mas. What did Mas Reza say?"

"You're daydreaming, huh?"

"Yes, uh no. I'm just groggy.

"Brothers? Why should I be groggy? Save your grogimu taste for tomorrow only because at this time we only need to sleep. Aren't you still tired?"

"I'm so tired, I feel like my whole body's been crumbling all day."

"Yes, come in and take a shower after that we just rest."

Olivia nodded with a slight feeling of relief. Inwardly hoping that Reza would continue to delay her first night until she was ready to explain everything.

Seriate.
