The Unexpected Marriage

The Unexpected Marriage
CHAPTER 143 - Responsibility

"Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun .. umi don't joke."

A sentence that often shakes anyone's heart if it has been said. Sean who was not called by Umi Rosita, immediately joined because of curious news of the grief of who the in-laws brought.

"Prepare, this afternoon Nana's body will be buried ... Agam and Latifah just left."

A body? Is this the meaning of Sean's last night nightmare about Zalina's departure? Although knowing such thoughts is not good, but Sean hopes it is true.

Umi Rosita also seemed to be in a hurry, Zalina was the same. Sean frowned and confused himself guessing who died. As usual, if you're panicking like this Zalina can't be asked, for that Sean just complies when Zalina asks him to prepare.

It seems that the news came from their close family. It is evident from Zalina's wet eyes and her shoulders that quiver when wearing the hijab. Sean even helped him tidy up the hair because Zalina was already so confused.

"Relax, Zalina .. Don't panic like this."

"Mbak Nana died, Mas how can I calm down."

Sean just nodded in understanding, he knew what it was like to lose. A few years ago, he felt the most pain after leaving his home. That's why Sean didn't want to advise someone who was grieving.

Along with his in-laws and wife, Sean was cast as the driver this morning. He did not know where he was going, but obviously the man's job was to follow Abi Husain's instructions. The journey they took may be a little long, and during the trip Sean also learned that the deceased was Latifah's younger brother, Agam's wife who was none other than his brother-in-law.

It's only natural that they are truly grieving. Sean knew long ago that his wife's family, especially his brother, loved relatives like a real family, so it was natural that Latifah's sister-in-law was so special to them.

At first Sean was mediocre, until after arriving at a house that is now crowded with mourners, Sean's steps seemed heavy. In fact, his in-laws even ran for the sake of being able to enter immediately. However, Sean actually blocked Zalina's steps until the wife frowned.

"Mas why?"

"You sure this is his house? We're not in the wrong place, Zalina?" sean asked, continuing to hold back the wife's departure.

"True, let's go in, Mas," asked Zalina to pull the husband's hand without coercion, lucky Sean according to although the man's step was too slow.

Without Zalina knowing if currently Sean's chest rumbles. For so many years, why did fate bring him back to this house. The house she once went to alone at night during school holidays to meet her lover, Leona Aninditha.

"No, maybe the house is the same ... Leona never returned to Bandung as I remember."

Until, all questions Sean answered after he confirmed the full name of a woman who Zalina called mbak Nana. His eyes were puffed up, Sean flinching for a moment and sinking silently between the sobs and hysterical screams of Latifah there.

This news was not only bad for Zalina, but maybe for Sean as well. Right, before Leona became part of Husain's kiyai family, Sean knew her first. However, Sean chose to be quiet and busied himself by following Agam and other men.

By noon, Leona was buried. Sean did not cry, his heart no longer even pounding when he saw the body that was stretched stiff with a shroud wrapped in front of him.

They had not met for a long time, After Leona ended the relationship unilaterally, Sean never looked for her again. Now, fate has brought them back. Not only is it a different feeling, but it is also natural.

Sean had no grudge, he stood gallantly before Leona's corpse. In fact, he swiftly escorted Leona to her final resting place. Not because the woman was someone who had once reigned in his heart, but Sean did that as a form of responsibility as a servant.

The atmosphere of grief was still so pronounced, especially for Latifah who was the only Leona family. Therefore, Zalina can no longer always be near the husband in order to strengthen her brother-in-law.

Until, when all began to move away Latifah still sitting limp staring at the headstone bearing his sister's name. Sean knew how painful it was, without realizing his eyes were also wet.

"You don't want to thank Leona before you leave, Sean?"

"Hm? What do you mean, Mas?" sean asked in a jolt, he panicked and was confused in one moment as Agam spoke.

"I didn't really know you before, but through Leona I and Latifah became convinced that you were indeed a good priest for Zalina."

"I-I don't understand what you're saying, really." Sean tried to pretend as if he was unfamiliar, but Agam's words really confused Sean himself at this time.

"You must understand, Sean."
