Chapter 40 - Goodbye

Keira was walking in a limp, she ran away from the hospital to see Seira. On the road almost he was hit by someone's car, fortunately the person had braked suddenly.

Not long after they got out of the car. And immediately looking at the very pale state of Keira, in his hand he held a letter.

"Oh my god…."

The car owner was surprised and immediately helped Keira stand up. Keira just shook her head weakly.

"We're taking it to the hospital." Say one child who comes out.

They were Bela and Melisa who had just been shopping. Melisa who was driving herself, she was very worried and felt stupid for already grazing the child.

Keira shook her head weakly, she instead asked them for help to deliver her to the address in her hand. At that time Seira had given her address to Keira.

Although worried and forced they nodded and drove Keira to the address she asked for. His side in the lobby thanked them and quickly headed to Seira's apartment unit.

Keira squeezes the door of Seira's apartment. As soon as it opened, Seira seemed surprised by Keira's presence. He wanted to avoid Keira but the boy quickly held back the door.

Dandy hurriedly turned the direction to the hospital. After hearing from her mother that Keira was already there.

Seira only glanced at Dandy and immediately threw away his face. Seira grabbed Daewi's hand and left the place before Dandy prevented him.

"Please wait a minute for Keira." Dandy pleaded desperately.

Seira glanced towards Daewi who nodded his head. He then abandoned his intention to leave. He can hate Dandy, but not Keira.

Before long the door of the room opened making them all stand up.

"Sorry sir your daughter—" the doctor hung up his sentence.

"Why with Keira doc?" dandy asked worriedly. Seira was no less anxious either.

"She refused surgery, please persuade her, because this is her last chance to live." The doctor's explanation left them all in shock.

Dandy quickly entered the room, trailed by Seira from behind. While his mother sat down and Daewi accompanied him while giving news to Aaron.

In the room Keira was lying weakly with several medical devices all over her body, but the child was still conscious.

Dandy wiped his tears and looked at his little daughter, "Kei….."

"Father! Uh, there's Mama Sei!" Greet Keira with great cheer.

Honestly, both Dandy and Seira felt pain to see that painful smile.

"Hey, don't you want to heal heumm?" Dandy rubbed the face of his helplessly lying son. "Kei want to leave papa alone like that?"

Dandy was desperately holding back his tears. Because Keira once said she was very sad to see her father cry just because of her.

While Seira had cried in silence from earlier by hiding behind Dandy.

"Pa, Kei is tired, sorry Kei who has broken Kei's promise to make papa nemenin to old." replied Keira rau still with a smile.

"Yes Kei," Seira walked slowly closer to Keira.

Keira held Seira's cheek, "Sorry Kei is also yes, because of Kei's busy grooming, papa so can't meet you guys."

"Dear, not because of you." Seira sobbed, she could no longer hide her tears now. Seira cried in front of Keira who even wiped her tears.

"Mama Sei don't cry, hehe smiled like Kei.''

Seira nods her head, Dandy cries behind Seira.

"Please come back again, pity sister Aa, Kei know what it's like to be sister Aa, the difference is you can be together againi—"

After saying everything Keira's heartbeat weakened.

"KEI...KEI...KEIRA...!" call Seira in a panic.

Dandy immediately shouted to the doctor.

After getting word from Daewi that Keira was critical, Aaron quickly headed to the hospital. He is very worried, especially with Dandy's explanation that Keira's life expectancy is very small if he gives up.

“Daewi, how is Kei?” Aaron was still managing his running breath.

Daewi shook her head, Dandy's grandmother's mother looked at Aaron very intensely. That's Aaron? Dandy's son and also his grandson that they wasted?

Madame Atmajaya approaches Aaron and stroks his shoulder, “You're Aaron?”

Aaron nods his head and looks at Daewi who hints that she is his grandmother. Her grandmother suddenly cried feeling an overwhelming regret within for her.

“Sorry, forgive me..” Her grandmother cried while kneeling at Aaron's feet. Of course Aaron was confused and immediately helped his grandmother stand up.

He takes his grandmother to sit down, Aaron says that he has forgiven his grandmother. Aaro calmed his grandmother down, before long they heard from within Seira's screams and several doctors running towards the room.

After a few minutes, Seira came out with puffy eyes and almost fainted if Aaron did not catch him immediately.

“Kei, she..” Seira clasped Aaron's hand tightly, “It's gone..” after saying it, Seira fainted from exhaustion and shock.

Everyone there was devastated, Dandy was still in the room unwilling to leave Keira who had been covered by cloth. He can't accept all that. Wh why? Is God so unfair to him?

His mother stroked Dandy's shoulder while sobbing, “Get him son, it's time we let him go.”

Funerals are held behind closed doors only family and relatives are present. Dandy is very quiet, he still has not let go of Keira completely.

Seira attends the funeral with Aaron and Daewi. The three of them looked at Keira's coffin from afar. Seira deliberately did not come closer, she was also still unable to release Keira.

The boy's smile and his manner were still ringing in his eyes. If Seira had known that Keira didn't have much time, she wouldn't have stayed away from Keira. He's just a kid and has nothing to do with Dandy's past mistakes.

When Seira was about to turn around to go her hand was already grasped by Dandy.

Dandy's voice still sounded hoarse. “Ra, I want to apologize for everything I've done so far.”

Seira was still staring at Dandy flat, “You can let go of my hand.”

Dandy shook his head and even tightened his grip on Seira, “I won't let go before you forgive me.”

Seira grieves, “You are still very selfish, always imposing your own will. You know Dan, that wound you made first will never be forgiven!”
