CHAPTER 27 Mother-in-Law

The fear in Kemala's heart was more real when he saw her husband staring angrily at his brother and all the vampires in this magnificent super duper palace. Not knowing what was going on inside their vampire family, Kemala could not guess. Which is definitely not a good thing, especially about his arrival here.

From the beginning Kemala did understand and really understand that ordinary people like him would not be able to easily enter into a family where his position is as a prey. Uniquely, he fell in love and willingly entered into the hole of the circle of life of a creature who wants his life.

Just in the name of love alone, Kemala could feel comfortable and safe to be near Richard. The handsome vampire prince was kind-hearted and very polite. Other than that, it was terrifying to imagine that Richard's family also wanted the blood of Kemala which was indeed their main meal.

And now, the problem is getting more complicated when Kemala's husband quarrels with his brother even ready to oppose anyone who intends evil to Kemala even though they are Richard's own family. This is not what Kemala wants even though he does not know what the solution to the problem is. Should he be willing to die to be with Richard?

He could not think like that or Richard would easily read his thoughts and anxieties.

“You made a big mistake by marrying a human who in fact they are our prey, Richard!” cetus Rexi, with scary eyes like a real vampire. The creepy vampire stared at Kemala full of hate.

“Not the first time our nation married a human being, before I too existed and now they are happy. What's wrong if I choose to be happy with my wife!” Richard stayed on his stance and blatantly challenged his older brother.

“Those humans are already like us! Obviously you guys are different from them!”

“Before becoming a vampire, he was also human and both were fine! Are their families supportive? Why don't you all support me too? Don't tell me that this is for salvation, there is no threat to our nation. My wife also won't make out on her species that she's married to a vampire.” Richard did not want to lose arguing with his brother and desperately defended Kemala. His hand clasped his wife's hand without letting go.

“Already ... don't argue!” Salvataro, the king and father of the vampires here, mediates the debate of his sons. “Richard just came, I asked him to come. You should have welcomed him warmly. Not even asking her to argue.”

“But Father .. isn't this very risky for us. This human existence can be a threat. In this part of the world there is chaos caused by both of them. How can I accept that human being as part of our family!” Rex still disagrees with the presence of Kemala in the midst of this vampire family.

He was self-conscious, so he just kept quiet while lowering his face. Being rejected by the family of in-laws is far more painful than a broken heart.

While Richard tried to calm Kemala so as not to be afraid and showed that he was really protective of his wife. It's just that, what was stirring up the girl's mind was, the chaos that had been touched by her brother-in-law just now. I don't know why Kemala had such a bad feeling.

There must be something going on out there and Richard's family is trying to cover it up. That is what triggers the eldest son of the vampire family to reject the presence of Kemala.

“Rex .. control your emotions! Speak politely to your father! I don't like you talking like that. We should welcome our guests well. You understand?” A beautiful woman in pale white and dressed elegantly as a royal queen got up from her chair and asked her eldest son to sit down.

Rex immediately threw his face away and did not want to see Kemala. While the graceful woman walked slowly towards Kemala and Richard who stood side by side and hugged the two together.

“Welcome back, Prince Richard, and welcome to our vampire family .. Kemala,”.

“Halo Mommy,” said Richard softly as he looked into his mother's eyes. If you look closely, it seems like they are talking through their respective minds.

Kemala spontaneously bowed a sign of paying respect to his mother-in-law who was kind to him. At least, not all vampire families resist his presence here.

“I'm sorry Her Majesty the queen .. because it has caused a little chaos,” said Kemala lirih still did not dare to look at the beautiful face of her mother-in-law.

Really, Kemala became moved even though he did not know what kind of food it was. His face looked happy and excited even though the tension was still felt. “Thank you, Your Excellency ..”

“Call me mother .. You're my son-in-law. You likey? You can taste it.”

“Thanks Mom. I really like it, but .. can I .. talk to my mom? Just alone, even if mom ... don't mind.”

Kemala's statement that asked to talk alone with his mother-in-law suddenly invited a big question mark on all the vampires here, including Richard himself. Instantly the vampires thought Kemala had great guts.

If other humans must have been thinking negatively about all the food on the dining table of the vampires, but not with Kemala. His face was pale from fear, but his guts were huge.

“Kemala .. You know who you're going to talk to?” asked Richard's mother with a look as if he was getting a tempting prey. His expression was indescribable with words, gentle but ready to pounce.

“Mother of my husband. My mother-in-law.” Kemala still smiled happily.

“Your blood is very fragrant, didn't Richard tell you? I'm just tempted to be near you like this.” Richard's mother was a real honest vampire.

“Iya Mother, from the beginning she told me. I even give my blood to her if she's hungry.”

“You're not afraid if I get out of control? You're the only human in this palace.”

“Know Mom, please if Mom wants my blood.” Kemala thrust his left arm right in front of his mother-in-law's face. Kemala was sincere and willing if his blood was sucked by the mother-in-law.

Maybe Kemala has gone mad, but he knows that death can pick him up at any moment and he doesn't seem to care about any of that. Dead now or later, for Kemala is the same.

What is the name of the cat if given to salted fish, will certainly not stand and will directly devour the food offered. Likewise with Richard's mother who was immediately tempted by the smell of Kemala's blood. The graceful woman even sniffed softly Kemala's smooth white skin while feeling the flow of blood flowing behind the beautiful skin of Richard's wife.

“Mother .. Kemala .. stop! It's not funny,” pinta Richard is already worried half dead. He was about to take Kemala away from his mother but his steps were blocked by Richard's own father.

“Do not interfere,” he said.

“Your wife will be fine, trust me.” Salvataro smiled wryly and it left Richard puzzled. But in the end, he understood.
