The next day, some people ran to the main house, abi Daud and umi Fatimah. And so are their panicked children.
Abi Daud was reported to have suddenly fallen ill after experiencing a bloody cough overnight.
“Umi, abi why?” Ask Zaidan. Last night he checked his father and suggested he be taken to the hospital alone, doing x-rays and some basic medical examinations.
Because the father did not want to, Zaidan tried to wait for the father until the morning greet and it turns out that in the morning, his father was found helpless in bed.
“Your asphyxiation keeps fainting, son. Please him” umi Fatimah's voice sounded vibrating. Her tears had melted on her cheeks, unable to stem her fear of the husband's alarming state.
“We take it to the hospital now” said Zaidan then others are busy preparing the car and other necessities.
In less than 30 minutes, they finally arrived at the hospital. It was a branch of the hospital that belonged to the Stella family.
Everyone clearly knew that Zaidan was the new head of the hospital, Zaidan was immediately given treatment and entered the VIP room to check on patients who were none other than his own father.
“Abi must survive” Gumam Zaidan while carrying the patient's bed.
The other family could only wait, Stella and Maryam were already crying as they pleased, especially if Fatimah could no longer speak.
This is a very unusual moment, of course, considering the condition of Abi Daud had indeed decreased when the marriage of Maryam took place and to this day they do not know at all about what pain suffered by abi Daud, even Zaidan.
“What abi never said anything, sis?” Azam asked Maryam, where Mary was always with Abi Daud besides umi Fatimah. If you now question umi Fatimah, it will be in vain, the general condition is not possible.
In the hallway of the hospital, Stella sat with umi Fatimah who was so limp, while Erlangga immediately took care of the administration and Azam could only stand without tears, struggling with his own feelings is also with his mind.
“Abi hiks, abi only said if his age may be old so, it is natural if he is sickly in times that are already vulnerable” replied Maryam, answering her sister's question with a cry.
“Do not cry brother, instead of crying it is good we pray together for healing abi. Believe that the destiny of life that we are living today is the decree of Allah SWT” Azam said.
It did not rule out the possibility that the man was actually also worried about the safety of his father. Waiting outside the room made Azam and the other family to tear themselves apart.
Chequelek
Zaidan came out with some files in his hand.
“How is abi?” Azam asked, he approached his sister swiftly and swiftly.
While the lethargic face of Zaidan has actually described the answer to what he will convey. It must be bad news, inner Azam.
“Abi developed lung cancer, where cells in the respiratory tract grow abnormally, so that the function of the organs is disrupted. The cause is because abi is an active smoker, where at this age he will be vulnerable to this disease.
Cigarette or cigarette smoke contains 60 toxic substances that are harmful, toxins that can trigger cancer growth.
Lung cancer itself has two types. The first, NSCLC (Non Small Cell Lung Cancer), usually occurs in passive smoking. While the second, is SCLC (Small Cell Lung Cancer), which is included in malignant cancer, malignant cells are formed in lung tissue.
Abi must be immediately in operation, sign this letter” said Zaidan then give a letter of approval to Azam.
“Who's doctor? Are you going to handle abi yourself?” Azam asked, reading the contents of the consent letter.
“Who do you think is listed there?” Answer Zaidan.
Azam saw the doctor's signature below himself with the same last name as him, ‘Zaidan Wijay’.
Zaidan shed tears, feeling insecure about doing this for his own father.
“You scared?” Azam asked Zaidan, his sister's face did look deathly pale, showing an inflamed nervousness within him.
“There are no other doctors, only me left. I'll do my best for Abi. Say all prayers, abi's age is quite old and this is a big operation, generally this must be done for six hours, hopefully I can shorten the time” said Zaidan, he lowered his head, he said, not believing in himself.
“Nak, save your abi yes. Umi is not ready to be abandoned abi” said umi Fatimah. For the first time, the middle-aged woman cried and pleaded before Zaidan as someone who would perform surgery for the safety of her husband.
“Umi, Zaidan just tried to lift the disease that is in the body of abi but, if Allah SWT already said ‘kun fayakun’, Zaidan can not do anything. Just pray everything goes well” He said then re-enter his room while carrying a letter of approval from Azam.
Zaidan's hands trembled looking at his name and the name of his older brother, Azam, with different statuses.
“Yes Allah, strengthen mejak” Gumam Zaidan, he changed his clothes with the operating uniform that has been provided at the hospital.
He entered the operating room with a thumping feeling, seeing his father lying weakly on the operating table made Zaidan have to continue in his heart.
“Bismilbornrahmanirrahim” Gumam Zaidan before dissecting the chest of the father.
Currently, Zaidan has a pneumonectomy, which includes a major surgery that removes all parts of the lung. Because abi Daud's cancer is located near the center of the chest.
All waited anxiously outside the operating room, all prayers were offered by them, wishing the best possible outcome for Abi Daud.
A few hours passed, finally the operating room was opened. There was no sign of Zaidan coming out of the room, only a few nurses came out with lethargic faces.
“Abi” Muttered Azam, his feelings were clearly not palatable with what he had seen from the disappointed faces of the nurses. The man stood pecking with his falling tears and his tightly pursed lips.
Azam clearly saw Zaidan standing with his face that was no longer frenetic, the young doctor's tears could no longer be dammed.
“Innalillahi wa innailahi raji’un” Gumam Azam.
The whole family immediately looked at Azam in disbelief, “Don't say anything bad about your brother, Azam. Surely your abi survived, your sister must have done her work without any defects in the slightest” said umi Fatimah.
With a little courage, Zaidan finally came out, looking at the sad face of his family who hoped much for him.
“Pardon Zaidan, Zaidan failed” He said then kowtowed at the feet of umi Fatimah with his tears that still flow.
Of course it made their world collapse. Abi Daud, who they had always been proud of and made a role model for, has now returned to the mercy of Allah on the operating table carried out by his own son.
“Umi, am I not a murderer?” Zaidan asked in the middle of his sobs.
“Standing, Zaidan. Take us to see Abi” Azam said, the man pulled Zaidan's arm so that the young doctor who was his sister stood up from his prostration to his mother.
Zaidan stood up and took his family to Abi David.
No doubt, their cries broke when they saw the pale face of Abi David, also the state of his body to be bathed.
“On the sanctuary in the cottage alone, take care of his needs and give word to the people of the cottage so that they prepare a funeral for abi” Erlangga said to Azam, the man was sad but, what can I do? If it was not him and Azam who were strengthening themselves, then who would calm the others?
Arriving at the cottage, Abi Daud immediately bathed and sholati. The funeral process was done solemnly, the sound of crying umi Fatimah, Maryam, Stella, also santriwan santriwati accompanied the departure of abi Daud.
Azam, who had come down to punish his ashes, also led a prayer after the father's body was covered with earth.
“Let's go home” Azam said invite his wife and other family to return because dzuhur time is almost up.
“A mayor will be punished for the cries of his family, in a story Prophet Muhammad said, ‘From Mughirah he said, ‘I heard the Prophet said, ‘item who his death was mourned then, then, <TAG1>, she was tortured for the lamentations addressed to her’’’.
The crying of the family is okay, just as an expression of sadness and holding it back is something that is beyond our control as humans. The Prophet also wept over his son, Ibrahim, who died. However, the cry was only an expression of sadness.
So, do not be so late with sadness, let alone your crying indicates you lament the departure of abi, it is like you do not accept with the death of abi which is the destiny of Allah SWT.
Especially you, Zaidan. Do not forget the words of Abi about the letter of Al-Bayyinah verse 5, ‘Tell me verily my prayer, my worship, my life and my death are only for Allah SWT, the Lord of the universe’. You've done your best, Allah SWT just loves abi more, and want to embrace abi in his paradise faster” Azam said.
Clearly Azam was worried about Zaidan's condition later, especially the man continued to blame himself since then.
