Chapter 2: Betrayal and Redemption (Treason and Redemption)

Xiao Tian: (looking at Zhao Yun with caution) "Why did you do it? What makes you my enemy?"

Zhao Yun: (with scorn) "You don't know what you're up against. This legacy is not for people like you who come from poor families. I'm more worthy of you to inherit this knowledge."

The two of them stared at each other in a tense silence. Xiao Tian, who did not want to waste time with words, took Xuan Long and showed it to Zhao Yun.

Xiao Tian: (with courage) "If you want to stop me, you have to face it first!"

Their battle was fought with incredible intensity. Their blows collided and caused an explosion of energy that filled the ancient temple.

*DUARRRRRRR!.........AUSHHHHH!

Both of them displayed admirable fighting skills, attacking each other and defending with incredible speed and strength.

However, in the rush of the fight, Xiao Tian began to feel that something was amiss. He sensed the energy flowing out from Zhao Yun's body, an energy that was not in line with his cultivation essence.

Xiao Tian: (with fear) "What are you doing? The energy is not pure!"

Zhao Yun: (with annoyance) "You're stupid if you think you can stop me!"

Xiao Tian: (with focus and calmness of heart)"Switch Technique.The sword blade of destruction!"

*DUARR!....WUSH.The explosive sound that Xiao Tian's sword energy produced was accompanied by a gust of wind along with the sharp sword blade struck Zhao Yun.

Zhao Yun: (spewing a mouthful of blood) "ahhhh, damn it! protection technique, protective spear whirl!"

*Wushhh..ciutttt!..The sound of the wind produced by the protection technique by turning his weapon and managed to form a circle that protected him from Xiao Tian's attack along with a powerful explosion.

Arriving at the Fire Mountains, they were greeted by cultivators from the Fire Sect led by a gallant man named Zhang Wei. The Fire Sect had powers related to the control and purification of fire energy, as well as deadly battle techniques.

Zhang Wei: (watching Xiao Tian and his allies sharply) "You guys dare to set foot in the territory of the Fire Sect. What's your purpose here?"

Zhang Wei: (looking at them seriously) "You must prove your abilities before you are allowed to reveal the knowledge that is here. I want to see if you deserve to inherit this power."
