Time's Up

Time's Up
Chapter 6 - Return

"More..." It was seen that the whole family was clustered around a body that was lying on a white mattress. There are so many advanced equipment in this place, that I can easily understand, my body is currently lying in the hospital.

I looked around looking at everyone looking sad and some of them were outside the room. They sat with their hands against faces covered in tears. I feel a little ... crowded? when viewing. But if it's the same thing that happened with the main character in the movie I watched with a woman I don't know who I can remember, it means I'm on the verge of death. How can I see my body lying with so many strange pipes wrapped around it while I'm standing with someone who enjoys playing puzzles.

"Am I dead?"

"Not yet, only your soul is separated from your body, but the straps are not broken, it means you have not died," obviously, it made me a little amazed because he finally answered my question in simple language and without the need to repeatedly ask.

He mentioned the rope, now I understand why there is a thin white rope attached to my chest since I woke up in the room. I can see it, it looks real, but I can't touch it. And now it seems like I understand what kind of spacious room it is.

I looked back at my body, I don't know why I felt anything more. I want to come back alive, but I don't even remember much about life. This made my desire to come back to life like a dim light, but never die.

"But I don't remember anything."

"Of course."

Suddenly he snapped a finger right in front of my face, and boom, all my memories came back. I should have been amazed by all of this, but I seem to have gotten fed up with this guy's game. Wait, then this guy is not a person. I saw him deep. His long robe prevented me from seeing if his foot was on the ground or not.

After that flick of the finger, a sting of memory struck out suddenly. Even though it came a little late, it really made my feelings mixed up. Like wanting to cry, laugh, get angry, be disappointed at the same time. And the last thing I feel is that I want to come back to life. I'm not ready to die.

"Then, what's my next fate?" I was a little afraid of an answer that might disappoint me.

"In your case, there are special rules, but let's wait for the court's verdict" he said.

"The court? You guys even have a court?"

"Of course, if not, where do you think all those provisions come from?"

"Yes-yes where do I know."

That man, ah, that angel, just think of him as an angel. The angel suddenly disappeared from before me. Of course I was confused and started to wander around looking for him. Several times I called out his name, but because I called him with the word angel, several angels who passed by inadvertently turned their heads towards me. I was a little scared when I was stared intently at by one angel who looked creepy even just by watching him walk. Walk on? Think of it like that.

"What does it mean to leave me here?" I was stunned to see my body lying on the bed.

I understand what's going on right now. Right at the moment of my second drum beat, I began to feel numbness that felt like it was creeping upwards until I was completely lost in that memory. And just as a party was in the control of the three of us, the band players. Waiting for the noise to happen. When all eyes are staring full later and suspicious. Right after two small beats all disappeared.

I approached my body, seeing how unfortunate the fate of that body and his family was. The tears of a mother endlessly flow while holding tightly to her son's hand. Several times I tried to embrace my mom wanting to calm her down, but none of these touches hit her. Then I looked at my dying self, and thought of an idea.

"How do I go back?" ask me to myself. "Dead no, life is not, either" I murmured as I looked at the thin thread that was attached to my chest. I took a deep breath after that.

...**...

"I have to how, angel? It's like a relationship but it doesn't have status, I'm still connected but not dead, but I'm not alive either because now I'm here," I complained to the same angel after some time he came back and took me to the room again. He said he had to finish a little business.

"No need to worry, your verdict is coming soon," he replied lightly which made me think heavily.

"Did you take someone else's life?" I was curious about his business.

"It's none of your business, you just shut up and wait for the verdict to come," he replied, not wanting me to know about him at all. This is the umpteenth time I asked about him who got almost similar answers.

A paper suddenly floated up and the angel reached out to him. The paper moved and fell on his palm. I glanced sharply trying to see what was inside.

"Well, according to the verdict, you can only live for 2 days" he explained which made me feel strange. How can I know for sure when my true death will take place.

"What do you mean, angel? How's bi-sa? I still want to live, forget about the verdict, there must be a way right?"

"I've said, everything that happens in this place is in accordance with the provisions and never deviated in the slightest."

"Is there any provision telling people when he will die? Then why do I have to live again if only 2 days, and for 2 days it will only remember 2 more days I will die," lamented I tried to change the provisions. I'm sure there's nothing that can't be done in this world as long as there's a strong will.

"You were given 2 days to say goodbye."

"What kind of "joke is this? Geez," I shouted with all my might.

"If you already understand, someone will take you back and live these 2 days as well as possible."

"No, no, please, I still want to live, please angel sir, I still want to live, please," pleaded to her not to imagine I'm really dead.

"You will live, so wait a minute for someone to come, he will bring you back to life."

"W-what? No, it's not life, angel sir," beg him but it's useless because a second later he disappeared from view. I sat still. Now what? Waiting for the life to come back that will die again?
