"Astagfirullah" Rival repeatedly istighfar relieved his breath that was getting tight.

Yara opened her eyes seeing Rival who was looking down massaging the base of her nose. Yara pulled out a hand from Rival's gentle swipe then Yara turned her face to the side of the wall.

"I asked for a divorce" Yara said for the first time.

"Daddy. Don't say that! our son will soon be born. Aren't you thinking about our son?" persuade Rival.

"Mas who do not think about our children, what do you think to be able to make out with other women?? What would you say that you don't feel anything when you're near Nesya?" cecar Yara's.

Rival went at high speed, Zein followed Rival at high speed anyway.

Rival's been drunk on the beach so deserted. Rival let out his cries. Spending liquor on his hands. His mind was so fucked up sleeping on a rock.

"I have to persuade especially the angry woman. My heart ached when I heard Yara's request. I don't want to divorce Zein" Rival said in frustration.

The flashback

Zein brought Rival home drunk. The smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke filled the room. Yara is angry to see Rival's behavior.

Yara ran up to vomit smelling the alcohol from Rival's body.

"I'm really upset about your behavior!!! Is this the result you get during the assignment? smart to get drunk and play girls??" yara shouted, she regurgitated all her stomach contents again.

"My decision is better for us mas, after that mas free to do what you like"

Rival could hear Yara's anger but could no longer answer the full force of Yara's words.

Flashback off

"Oh Allah, astagfirullah.please O Allah, I am not strong if I have to lose my wife" heavy breathing many times Rival did, he said, she held onto her chest which felt tight and painful given Yara's request for divorce. Rival leaned against the walls of the logistic warehouse exposed to the heat of the sun that Rival did not feel.

One of the men asked Rival to enter the Commander's room. There's Yara, Randy, Zein there.

The momentary silent atmosphere.

"Your wife asked to separate from you. Lettu Rivaldi Alfario.your mistake is fatal. I have to be firm anyway. Now you choose mutation without taking your family for two years or whip and discipline as punishment. All actions are at risk" the commander said.

"Ijin answered the commander. I am Lettu Rivaldi Alfario refused to part with my wife Renjana Yara Megalia. I will accept whipping and disciplinary sanctions as punishment" Rival replied firmly but clearly heard the voice of a husband's heartache in order to maintain a beloved wife.

"Open your uniform and stand up straight" the Commander pulled out a whip and beat Rival's entire body. The whip was so hard it felt on Rival's back that it left a bluish-red bruise. Yara could not bear to see her husband endure such excruciating pain.

Yara knew Rival was very resistant even though his body stood up gallantly but not with his face that occasionally faced in pain.

"Your mission did work out well, Battalion saluted, but you made an impact on your family. You're careless and can't take care of yourself"

Rival closed his eyes holding back tears that seemed to want to slide. He thought about the fate of his home. He did not want to part with Yara, who had her baby. Rival bit his lower lip firmly withstanding the pain all over the body.

"I went out for a while to confer, you stay in this room!" The Commandant's orders left Rival and the others.

A bluish-red rim imprinted flat on Rival's back and chest. Rival fell down groaning on the floor. Yara didn't get her heart to see it.

"Why do this. I know you must be in a lot of pain" cried Yara hysterically hugging Rival's body that was not able to stand. Randy and Zein help Rival to sit down.

"Don't tell me to separate. Whatever your request I will obey. As long as you don't ask for a divorce from me. I beg. I'm mistaken..I'm sorry deck" said Rival, who still felt the heat on his body.

"I know everything. Why not just choose a mutation. Why did you choose this path"

"This lash is far from life, pain is only temporary. I cannot afford to be away from you. You and my son are my life"
