Laura's heart skipped a beat quickly hearing Emperor Nathan's words. Laura was startled before returning her expression to flat.

" I do not wish to be with you always, Your Majesty. Remember now you have a Queen who is pregnant with your child" said Laura with sharp eyes.

Emperor Nathan pensively before displaying his slanted smile. Makes Laura more alert to see it.

" It's interesting, but I don't want any rejection from you" Nathan said, hitting Laura on the nape.

To make Laura's body goosebumps unconscious in the arms of Emperor Nathan. He looked at all the inches of his concubine's face and then he carried her bridal style. Bringing her back to the palace using teleportation magic.

Not long after that Emperor Nathan had arrived at his palace holding Laura.

" Axton, have the servants bring all the belongings of Consort Laura to my palace and place her in a room that is in front of me. The law of his personal servant because he could not keep the concubine safe" said Nathan who gave his orders before passing away without hearing an answer from Axton.

Emperor Nathan took Laura to his private room, which had been rarely used since he usually slept in the Queen's room or in her study. Then he slowly laid Laura's body and covered her by the neck.

After that Emperor Nathan also laid his body beside Laura while looking at the concubine's face.

" I don't know why every time I see your face I feel like I'm no stranger to me. Actually who you are." Nathan said while stroking Laura's cheek that looks more contained. Then his gaze was fixed on Laura's stomach which seemed to be slightly protruding behind the blanket.

Emperor Nathan immediately stroked her. Ever since the last time she wanted to always stroke Laura's stomach. It was as if there was an inner bond within it but it was strange why she only wanted to touch Laura's stomach rather than Queen Valerie's.

Once satisfied Emperor Nathan decided to go out and continue his work. But when he was out he saw Queen Valerie standing right in front of him.

" What's wrong with you seeing me instead of what I told you so long as you're still keeping that damn baby. Don't put your face in front of me." Nathan said as he walked past Queen Valerie.

But his steps came to a halt after hearing suddenly Queen Valerie speak.

" Emperor, have you loved Consort Laura?" asked Valerie who knew the question just slid from her mouth.

Emperor Nathan was silent for a moment before finally answering him.

" It's not that good, it means I can't mourn your death after giving birth to the child, and I'll make sure that after the baby is born I'll get rid of it." nathan said coldly before returning to continue the journey without caring for Queen Valerie who had been weak to hear the Emperor's words.

Queen Valerie felt her heart ache remembering that her husband would get rid of her son after his departure. He feared that his son would be killed or exiled by the Emperor to distant places. The only way he could make it was that he had to bring Consort Laura closer to Emperor Nathan. So that someday Consort Laura will be able to take good care of her child.

Because he was sure only Consort Laura could trust him. Though his feelings are broken and hurt. But this is for his son.

" Yes, I have to do that so that I can leave in peace." Rati Valerie thoughtfully.
