Trapped In Idol Drama
Chapter 19: The Game

The wind blows into the night sky. The moment Ye Xi came to the balcony, her combed hair became disheveled once again.

She desperately raised her hand to fix her hair while answering the incoming call on her phone.

As he picked it up, the slag writer shouted, “Why?! Why do you have to call me 'stuck' all the time? Did you know that there are complaints from readers about this? Here, let me read some to you. 'Who is this slag? Why does he always show up?' 'Is the slag writer an important figure? Why didn't he show himself? It's just a cheap shadow!' Look, this is a reader complaining about this. Are you trying to interrupt them, so you have a reason to delete your writing?”

Ye Xi looked at the dark and gloomy night and weakly replied, “You are too emotional. It will affect the health of your skin.”

On the other hand, the slag writer sighed—s a long breath, as if Ye Xi's words only made her even more annoyed.

After hearing this, Ye Xi revealed a faint yet evil smile.

It had come to a point where the anger of the slagmaker became even more appealing to him.

“Already, I'm too lazy to scold you. By the way, what you said in the library is pretty good.”

Ye Xi chuckled before replying, “I just said random things. I honestly don't even remember what I said. ”

“…”

The writer sighed again. His breathing was heavier, too heavy to be considered as *****, and very clearly more angry.

The smile on Ye Xi's face deepened.

The slag writer seemed accustomed to being speechless. He was silent for a while before regaining his senses, and replied, “I want to fix something that has been said before. I accidentally made you stupid. As you said, they just follow the crowd. People like to hang out with people. As long as the atmosphere was infectious enough, that was how they did not care how stupid the event was. Why doesn't anyone argue with this? Because following the crowd is safer. Look at the consequences of fighting the crowd. See how you almost got the shit beaten out of you? Huh!!”

The last sentence was cut in with an overbearing tone in a slag voice, as if his long speech was only there to prepare him for that last sentence.

Ye Xi raised her eyebrows.

"Is this why you called me?"

“No, I want to tell you that I graduated college and forgot all about the practice for High School. You can't even ask me to disguise myself as a tutor anymore. Not even thinking about it. Ha ha ha!"

Even over the phone, Ye Xi felt how happy she was.

"I saw. I'll hang up the phone then.” Ye Xi said indifferently.

“Hey, hey, hey. You should know that with your grades now, you will not get into any college!”

“You think a miss perfect like me would be short of money to hire a tutor?” Ye Xi retorted, slightly curling the corners of her lips.

“…”

“……”

BEEP BEEP BEEP.

The writer hung up the phone.

Ye Xi sighed deeply, realizing that the night air felt very refreshing while dancing on her skin. The view that night was beautiful.

He slept well that night.

The next morning, Ye Xi checked her phone out of habit once she woke up. It was a Saturday so he didn't need to go to class, so with that realization, he turned around and went back to sleep.

By the time Ye Xi woke up again, An Mudie was no longer in the dormitory. He turned around, glanced at his phone, and found a post-it note attached to the screen.

Ye Xi, I have to go home. See you next Monday.

A Mudie.

After reading the short message, Ye Xi squeezed it into a ball and threw it cleanly into the trash. It was 8:30 in the morning. Not late.

Ye Xi stretched her body and walked to the French window. As he pulled the curtains aside and opened the window, bright sunlight shone through the room and a gentle breeze caressed his face, enveloping the room with a fresh feeling.

Ye Xi sighed again. She felt compelled to wear beautiful clothes to match a beautiful day, and planned to go play at the cafe.

As soon as she finished her bath, she opened her wardrobe only to be greeted by nothing but a dress. Although she liked it at first she found the drafts flowing at the bottom of the dress somewhat pleasant, and she ended up feeling awkward wearing it.

But it seemed like she could only wear a dress for now. She should go out to buy more casual clothes later.

Ye Xi quickly chose a white dress to wear, brought some spare change, and walked out the door.

She decides to go to the school cafeteria; if it doesn't open, she will go out to eat instead.

That noble high school deserves to be called a noble high school. It is open even on holidays.

The moment Ye Xi entered the cafeteria, she could see people in groups of both and three throughout the seating area. He experienced the atmosphere becoming calmer, more peaceful, with his presence.

Under all sorts of gazes, Ye Xi got some food and sat down by herself. He thought that he could become a celebrity that he would definitely become famous in the future.

After breakfast, Ye Xi rushed to the internet cafe.

The cafe is more crowded than usual, probably because of the holidays. There were no private rooms left, so Ye Xi was forced to play in the waiting room.

The public air was far from clean, with thick circles of smoke roaming the air. Smoke, ramen, and all sorts of unpleasant smells surrounded him.

Ye Xi was used to it, at least enough to tolerate it, after spending a miserable few moments adjusting to the waiting room.

Ye Xi opened the game after booting, receiving a text from Kawaii as soon as she did.

Kawaii: Miaomiao is pretty early.

Ye Xi was surprised. He had just logged in, so he thought that Kawaii's closeness was just a coincidence.

Miaomiao: Hmm, do you want to play a few rounds?

Kawaii: Sure.

Kawaii is a great mid-lane player. Even so great, Ye Xi did not even need to help with the sneak attack when she was fighting the opponent. It was an incredible feeling, in part because there was one player lacking to support because Kawaii did not like to be bothered with and also because seeing him torturing any opponent he faced was extremely satisfying.

Ye Xi did not know when he started to become so vile every time he played.

After finishing their first round, Kawaii sent a message.

Kawaii: I'm going to attract some people. Let's make this a long-term team.

Miaomiao: Male or female? Are they good?

Kawaii: Well, what gender do you want?

Miaomiao: I want a gentle sister.

Kawaii: A gentle sister?

Miaomiao: Like you.

Kawaii was silent for a moment before replying.

Kawaii: How about this? I'll get some people. You can imagine if they were women or men.

Miaomiao: Okay.

Soon after, Ye Xi received three friend requests. Seeing their names Xiuxiu Da, Mengmeng Yo, and Aili Jiangshe knew the recruit was a gentle sister.

Ye Xi was usually lenient towards cute sisters. When he received their friendship request, he would be friendly and generous. He thought that even if they played badly, he could teach them.

Fooling. Ye Xi noticed that the gentle sister was good, but not too good, everyone was good except Aili Jiang.

Aili Jiang is definitely a new player who does not like cooperation. Although he learned quickly, he did not have the team spirit.

Fortunately, Ye Xi and Kawaii made up for his absence and did not need him to fight with the team. Ye Xi would definitely hate him, otherwise.

Time slowly passed, and Ye Xi grew more familiar with how the game worked. When playing, the decision is quick, and the reaction is faster.

The five cooperated with each other, but Ye Xi caught fire. He and Kawaii are constantly killing others while their teammates eliminate the experience in the background. They were still useful in the background, killing the soldiers and obtaining gold.

Since Ye Xi and Kawaii were a little too ruthless as they slaughtered the enemy team, their opponents finally gave up on trying to fight and everyone went to kill the monsters.

Without an opponent, the game would be boring. So after Ye Xi, Kawaii, and the others spoke briefly, they all went to kill the enemy team hiding.

Quickly, the chat box was filled with outrageous messages and lewd insults from their opponents.

Ye Xi and the others turned a blind eye to this, continuing to kill them every time they were found.

Ye Xi and his team were quickly blocked by their opponents after the match was over.

Young people cannot accept failure, Ye Xi thought as she took a sip of water.

She looked at her friend list and felt like she wanted to act funny.

Kawaii, Xiuxiu Da, Mengmeng Yo, and Aili Jiang…

Is it possible to make a team name out of a member's name?

Ye Xi and his group played all day, harassing opponents as if they were helpless vegetables. They all quickly leveled up.

As the other round ended, Ye Xi heard a beep at her station, warning her that her time at the internet cafe was up. He said goodbye to his team, turned off the laptop, and took off his earbuds— blew up rock and roll. He planned to stretch but was stunned when he looked around him.

He stiffly turned around to see that his station was filled with a sizeable group of cafe-goer men.

What the hell is going on? Did I make them angry? Did I anger heaven???

Ye Xi could barely sort through her thoughts before paying attention to the young man closest to her. He had purple and red hair, which glittered under the light of the waiting room. He glared, and Ye Xi could not help but think that he looked fierce.

Ye Xi gulped and scanned her surroundings again. He has no way out.

"Sister!" the young man suddenly shouted. "I want to play a game!" he stated with great enthusiasm.

Ye Xi could only give a weak answer, “Then play. You just need to be at the end

"No!" the sense of urgency in his voice is getting audible, “Kakak, teach me how to play!!”

"Huh?" Ye Xi was stunned. The crowd was fascinated by his skill, they all joined behind him to see his play.

Good Lord! I was almost scared to death!

Ye Xi relaxed and, seeing that the young man was about to shout again, she suddenly waved her hand and said, “I have to go. We can talk about it tomorrow.”

"OK okay okay!" said the young man while stepping aside, leading to the crowd doing the same.

Seeing the road, Ye Xi rushed out. The people he passed by were very excited to return the next day.

When he left the cafe, he realized that he was sick everywhere. It may be better to exercise before going back to sleep.

As soon as he recalled the enthusiastic crowd in the Internet cafe, he could not help but laugh. People outside of school are pretty normal.

Ye Xi called a taxi but felt a strange sensation as she told the driver of her destination.

Did he forget something?

Whatisit?

No matter how hard he tried, Ye Xi could not think of an answer, so she put those thoughts aside and stopped worrying.
