Chapter 29: Barbecue (1)

When Ye Xi was a teenage girl, there was a big fat cat who always came to her yard uninvited, living in a corner of the orphanage. No one admitted it, so he never left. Ye Xi liked the cute and fat appearance of the cat, and occasionally fed it. However, after the headmaster took it, fed it instead, Mr. Fatty Cat started his daily life by eating more than sleeping. It's waking up late and sleeping late at night just to annoy people.

The two walked along the street, and easily found an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

As they entered, a servant immediately greeted them. "Welcome! Table for how many people?”

Ye Xi glanced at him and questioned his counting skill. It was supposed to be five o'clock, but he didn't say anything for the fragile boy's self-esteem. He just nodded in agreement.

“Alright, please pass here,” The waiter brought them to the table of six people, and warned them that they should pay in advance.

After confirming the charge and making sure that he had enough money Ye Xi handed the table amount to the waiter.

Shortly after, Ye Xi and Nan Gongghai went to pick up the barbecue materials first.

“If they come right when the food is finished baking, wouldn't we be wasting time just to cook?” Nan Gongghai asked as he gestured, as he threw a piece of meat onto the table grill.

“Well, I don't think they will fight with us for food. After all, they are all very...appropriate,” Ye Xi said, restraining her desire to say “F4” Campus.

Nan Gongghai smiled. "For everyone, they really just look like a bunch of rather handsome guys."

The boy was also separated from F4.. Is it okay for him to talk about them like that?

Ye Xi gently smiled without giving a response. He did not know about the other two, but if it was only Wei Shenglan, he truly believed that he was not the type of person who valued the hard work of others.

And just as Nan Gongghai feared, the others came just as the food had finished roasting.

Ye Xi and Nan Gongghai looked at each other and took their chopsticks to quickly take all the meat from the grill to their plates.

Bing Yiyi stared at the empty grill and hinted at her dissatisfaction. “Eating too much at night is not good for your stomach.”

What he actually said was, “Can you guys be even more petty?! You have no manners at all! ”

Ye Xi gave a small grin, and thought, “Eating as much as possible is basically war. If you are fast, you can eat, but you will handle the grill if you are too slow!”

You're too naive, young man.

The adult world is a cruel and lonely place!

Nan Gongghai smirked and said, "Our metabolism is good enough, right Ye Xi?"

He won't fight it alone.

Ye Xi looked at him and nodded. “Yes, they're not bad. We could actually eat three more pounds. ”

Bing Yiyii's smile gradually turned plastic as her patience was tested.

Then, Nan Gongghai suddenly acted worriedly and said, “But Yiyi, you must not eat too much! That's not good for your stomach!”

Use your own words against them... Not bad at all!

Ye Xi could not help but praise him for his brutal execution.

Nan Gongghai knew that Ye Xi was secretly praising him, and looked into his eyes again with newfound excitement in his eyes. Everything was delivered without a word said.

Shang Guanxi and Dong Fangyu looked at each other, and both agreed that something was going on between them.

Nan Gongghai finally turned his attention and was greeted with a cold gaze from his good friend, Wei Shenglan.

Shang Guanxi looked at Bing Yiyi sitting at the end of the table uncomfortably, and quickly switched from the topic of conversation to asking, “Yiyi, is there something you want to eat? I'll throw it into the barbecue for you.”

Bing Yiyi's expression immediately softened, and her gentle smile returned to her face. “It's okay, I only eat fruit at night.”

Did you know that fruits can also make you fat?!

Why are you even here if you don't eat?

We have to pay for extra people!

Ye Xi experienced a huge explosion inside but only seemed to be secretly eating for others.

Wei Shenglan leaned towards Ye Xi, and lowered his head as if he was going to say something but noticed that there was a large cup of coke filled with ice right in front of him. He stopped and stood up to walk towards the food area.

As soon as he saw her off, Bing Yiyi followed behind.

Ye Xi glanced at the empty chair next to her and could feel relief seeping in. He treats school as a profession if he is completely honest with himself. Each ounce of her mental capacity was deeply set to make An Mu Die the queen of the school again. With all her problems at hand, she did not want to fight someone as important as Bing Yiyi outside of school as well.

Shang Guanxi's eyes locked on Bing Yiyi most of the time, and when she saw that she was awake, she quickly followed suit.

Dong Fangyu innocently stared at the two people left on the table besides him. They were really engrossed in the food, and they were obviously very happy about it. Then he looked at the three from afar to get some food, and then the food started to seep in. He feels very awkward. He decided to stand up and walk towards the three in the food area.

Ye Xi quickly finished her last bite of meat and let out a satisfied sigh. He picked up a coke glass and sipped another big mouthful.

Isn't this the most satisfying feeling I've ever had in my life?!
