TRAUMA LOVE
#20

“You ready?”

“Ya,” Celine replied.

With someone's help, Celine will leave Helsinki City.

The Flashback

“It will take a long time. Don't you want to go by plane?” ask Alice.

Celine shook her head, “using the train would be better. No one will know.”

“But you have to change several times. From trains, buses, boats, even on foot,” Alice is very worried about Celine.

“It's much better than being here and getting all the pain. I'm so grateful to you, Al. Without you, I would never be able to leave.”

“My best friend will help you there. I'll make sure things are here. Oya, this is a cell phone for you. I've put my phone number in here. Contact me when you get to.”

“Thank you, Al,” Celine hugged Alice very tightly.

“I'll visit you.”

“I'll be waiting for you.”

That night, Alice went home first because she was going to see Celine. He found Celine at Dad Harry's house before actually returning to the Alban Family residence.

Flashback Off

“Thank you for your help and say thank you also to Alice,” Celine said.

“I'll tell you.”

Celine gets on the bus that will take her to the next terminal. Celine looked at Helsinki City for the last time before she left her hometown and the city filled with a million memories.

**

Rhys' hand shook as he read the contents of the map before him. She couldn't believe that Celine had filed for divorce with her, and that she had even signed it.

An envelope was now held, and Rhys opened it.

Tring ting ting …

A ring fell from inside the envelope, their wedding ring worn by Celine. Rhys opened his desk drawer. He took a box where he put his wedding ring with Celine. He never used it at all, because he immediately took it off after his wedding.

Rhys took the envelope back and pulled out a piece of paper from it. He opened it and saw a letter written in blue ink.

Sis, sis,

Thank you for marrying me, despite the coercion. I know everything, why you want to marry me. I don't blame you.

I've taken care of our divorce papers and signed them. Brother just sign it and give it to the brother's lawyer to complete the process.

3 Months, 1 week left. I'm leaving and I'm going to give up all my love for my brother. When our divorce is over, marry the woman you love. I sincerely approve of it.

I've also signed the transfer papers Uncle Dave once gave Dad. Brother can have it all, I don't want it.

Goodbye, may you always be happy.

Celine.

“You divorced me? I should have done it! You can't do it,” Rhys said as he squeezed out a letter written by Celine and clasped the wedding ring in his next hand.

**

Until the night, there was no sight of Rhys in the Alban Family residence. The man locked himself in the workspace. Not even Eve who tried to go inside could. He finally came out of the house to relieve his fatigue.

No Celine, no Eve, making Aunty Anna smile. He is now the one in power in that house. He could even order this and that. He was not too upset or angry anymore with the sudden departure of Celine.

“You want to go too?” aunty asked her husband.

“Yes, it's still in a new year's mood. I will gather with my friends,” replied Uncle Ronald.

“Alright, go there and have fun.”

Uncle Ronald leaves the Alban family residence to spend time with his friends. He is lazy if he has to be at home and hear the babbling and screaming of his wife.

Just a moment her husband left, now Aunty Anna saw her daughter who came down from the top floor in her casual clothes but while carrying a bag.

“You'll go too?” ask Aunty Anna.

“Ya Mom's. I'm going to see my best friend. I will celebrate the new year with them,” Alice also left the Alban Family residence.

Why Aunty Anna, who was originally happy, was now so upset. He felt disrespected and appreciated. Aunty Anna looked towards the hall where Rhys was, her niece ducking out earlier.

Not knowing what to do, Aunty Anna finally went to her bedroom and started opening her jewelry box. He checked the boxes one by one. But only until the second box, he frowned because he felt something was awkward.

“Where is my pearl necklace?” muttered Aunty Anna.

**

“You've delivered it?” ask Alice.

“Already.”

“Thank you very much, Raf. I owe you.”

“Why did you help him leave? Isn't she the wife of your cousin, Rhys?”

“Ya.”

“Did you deliberately help her get divorced and leave the country because you wanted to be with your cousin?”

“Raf! Why are you suddenly thinking badly of me? Do I look like a woman who wants to snatch another woman's husband?” ask Alice.

“That's not what I mean, Al. It's just that I don't understand what you're doing. You shouldn't have helped him. Let him there, who knows their household will improve,” Rafael said.

“And let it be treated improperly? I can't see that.”

“Alice I know is a woman who rarely meddles in the affairs of others, unless it is beneficial for her.”

Alice chuckled, “Then it means you don't know me very well, Raf. I'll just go back then. Talking to you here even makes you think a no-no to me.”

“You angry?” ask Rafael.

“No, I'm not angry. It's up to you to think about what I am. Thank you for helping me, I will reply to you someday. I'm home.”

Alice again put on her little bag with a crossed strap on the front of her body. He left Rafael in a cafe. Rafael was his upperclassman when they were in college. Both are close because they both follow the nature lovers club.

I know you're upset, Al. It's just that I don't know your real reason. Why exactly do you help destroy a new marriage for a lifetime of corn. - inner Rafael.
