3. Early in My Life
The mood of grief still enveloped the days of Rani and her family. During Rani's absence from school, her close friend Siska Amelie comes to visit with some of her classmates to defend her condolences.
"Patience Ran, may your father be placed in the best place by God's side" said Siska calming
"Yes Sis, I've got a gapapa. I tried to be sincere even though it felt like this was too difficult" said Rani who tried to cover up her grief
"How's alea?" ask Siska
"He's in the room"
"I went to Alea's room"

Siska approached Alea who was sitting pensively staring at the window in her room.
"Alea?" Call Siska
Alea turned towards the voice that called out to her
"Why are you in front of the window?"
"Let's look around aka ko kak" Alea replied with a slight smile
"Have you eaten yet?" Ask Siska

Siska hugged Alea and stroked Lea's hair, she said,
"Alea is patient, who is strong. Maybe this is the best way for Leah's father" Siska told Lea
Leah could not help but cry when she heard the words about her father, tears welled up her cheeks.
Siska hugged and continued stroking Alea's back to calm her down, Rani walked over to Alea and Siska.
"Dek, take the medicine. I ate it, right?" ask Rani

Today is Rani's graduation day held in the school building. The show was quite lively too.
"Ran, where are you going?" ask Siska

They also went around before coming home.
"When are you going to Jakarta again?" ask Rani
"I don't know, I'm out of there. Now get a new job"
"Ohh, I hope you get better at your job"
"Aamiin" Dimas said, "are you going to work or college?" dimas continued asking Rani's plan in the future
"I work ajalah," replied Rani resignedly
"Why not go to college?"
"Yaa gapapa, if Dad still there anyway maybe college. I don't want to breastfeed Mom"
"Hmm I hope you also get a good job"
"Aamiin" Rani meng aamiin
"Well, isn't there a mother?" ask Dimas
"Tuh New Mother came" said Rani pointing by raising her eyebrows towards Mother

"Just home?" Ask Rani and Dimas
"Yes" answered Rani
"Look in first yuk Dimas"
"Eh no ma'am, it's late afternoon Dimas awaited Mama at home"
"Oooh yaudah, greetings to your mother"
"Yes ma'am, wassalamu'alaikum" Dimas said goodbye and kissed Mom's back again
*Some weeks later..
"Mom, Rani's leaving. Want to send a proposal" said Rani
"Yes, be careful. Don't be late"
"Yes ma'am, Dimas's gonna pick me up"
"Now who's going to go with him?"
"Self will ride the angkot, meeting together at the place of Rani want to apply for work"
"Oh jaudah"
"Assalamualaikum" Rani's greeting to Mother
"Wa'alaikumusalam" replied Mother
Rani has applied for a job in her city many times, but there has been no call.
After his father left, Rani became harder to try. Rani wants to work to help her family's economy. His late father left only one motorbike that he used to use to work. That was also an old motorbike and now it can not be used anymore, inevitably Rani traveled using public transportation or sometimes Dimas deliver it.
Dimas himself is still looking for work, he wants to get a job near Rani. Back when meeting Rani's father, Dimas 'crossed' Rani by father. Whether it was a sign or not, Dimas accepted it because of Dimas' own love for Rani, without being asked Dimas would take care of Rani.
After entering the application to every job vacancy, Rani finally got a call for an interview. Rani was accepted for work but was placed in Jakarta, the company gave Rani 2 days to pack.
Rani asks Mom for permission to go to Jakarta, with a heavy heart Mom allows.
"Mom, Alhamdulillah Rani accepted work. But Rani was placed in Jakarta, and they gave Rani 2 days to pack. I'm Rani's permission, right?" asked Rani expectantly
"Hhhhhhh.." Mother sighed heavily, "Where do you have the meeting?"
"There must be a ko bu"
"Looking alone?" ask Mom again
"No ma'am, there's ko. Dimas also said he wanted to leave also to Jakarta"
"Dimas? Dimas applying to work there too?" ask Mom curious
"No, but he said he wanted to find another job"

"Dimas, I picked Rani yaa" said Mother to Dimas who came to pick up Rani
"Yes ma'am, just calm down. Dimas keepin hehe"
"Rani for away from Mom don't macem-macem yes the same Dimas. I once told Mom that if you 'amit-amit' until you 'accident', I will never consider you a child again. That's Dad's message to Mom." said mom
"Yes yes, Rani can take care of herself"
"Rani said yes"
"Assalamualaikum" said Rani and Dimas together

Dimas and Rani go to the bus terminal.
