Chapter 53. Initial Assault

Zack clenched both his hands looking at Amber's behavior. He deeply regrets his actions. Entering her daughter's room alone she was reluctant, let alone hugging her.

"This time there will be no more opportunities for you! This is the beginning of your life without us" Zack said.

Amber returned to her room and laid herself on her soft bed. His brain seemed to be deadlocked to find a solution for today. He chose to give up on what would happen later.

Zack laughed at him. Now he understood the meaning of his daughter.

"What if mommy goes far away and doesn't stay with us anymore? Is Em going to be sad?" ask Zack again to convince himself.

"It's okay Daddy," replied Emily casually.

"Are you sure?" ask Zack.

"Yes" replied Emily briefly.

"Ok, if Em had said that," said Zack.

Zack's getting his hold together. He saw Emily who looked a little sleepy. He grabbed the little girl, trying to put her to bed.

The rain has not stopped out there. Amber woke up from her sleep. He immediately grabbed the phone lying on his bed. Time shows at four o'clock thirty minutes in the afternoon.

He's feeling really upset. He could have been asleep for that long, and in a precarious state at the moment. He immediately ran away to the bathroom to clean himself up. When he finished, he immediately walked to the walk in closet. He was looking for casual clothes he could wear.
