Chapter 57. Losing Emily

"Young lady got kidnapped!"

Zack's eyes were instantly rounded. Both of his hands were clenched very strongly.

"What do you mean?" ask Zack with emphasis.

"Young no-na's been kidnapped, sir!" replied the guard.

"You're in charge of watching and guarding him. How can you be negligent!" Zack's anger is mounting.

He wanted to reward the bodyguard with a few punches. But what's the point? Is Emily coming back?

Leon who was aware of his master's emotions that at any time could explode immediately mediated the matter.

"Master I think we know who kidnapped the young lady!" exclaim Leon.

"What do you mean?" ask Zack growled. He kept trying to hold back his emotions from exploding. His beloved daughter was easily taken away by someone. He thought the whole plan worked. In fact, there is still a gap in his plan.

"Master, the bodyguard I asked to escort and care for Miss Emily and Nana was two people. But the one who came to give news was only one. We have to give him a chance to explain what really happened" Leon explained at length.

"You're right, Leon!" zack shouted with a still-restrained voice.

"Have the bodyguard come here! Ask him to explain everything now!" shout Zack. If his eyes could produce fire in a moment of anger, right now there would definitely be no one willing to approach him.

Leon immediately complied with his master's request. He pointed his index finger back and forth at the guard. The man immediately set foot toward Leon and his master. He walked with dragged steps and with a hunting breath.

"Explain now!" Leon's orders.

"We made it out of the hallway. Miss Emily asked to stop for a moment because she wanted to pee. After that, we walked back. A black sedan came to us. I think it's our pickup car. Apparently not," the bodyguard explained.

He tried to take a breath because the condition of his body was still unstable. When he came to his senses from his stupor, he immediately got up and ran towards the mansion to immediately tell his master. He knows himself very well. Due to his negligence, his young lady can be kidnapped in plain sight.

"A man got out of the car, and approached us. I saw Nana's surprised face that seemed to know the man, and I believe this kidnapping was aided by my partner. Actually I was very suspicious at the beginning when he was placed with me to escort and guard the young lady. Because this is the first time we met and served together" the bodyguard explained again.

"Si al! It's al!" shout Zack.

"Why didn't you report earlier?" asked Zack while trying to hold back his emotions.

He walked back and forth holding his waist, and his free hand rubbed his forehead.

"Sorry sir, I gave you a report at the beginning. However, master said no problem," replied the bodyguard.

The bodyguard's words reminded Zack of what happened last night.

The flash back

That night when Zack finishes playing and puts Emily to sleep, she returns to her room to get a call from Leon.

Leon reported all the preparations tomorrow and had already put some of his reliable men in. He also reported a complaint from one of the guards. The bodyguard doesn't want to be on duty with his current partner.

All this time he was escorting and guarding Miss Emily with her long-time partner. But, from yesterday his partner could not be contacted at all. After trying many times to contact her partner and ending in failure, she got a short message from him saying that he was not feeling well. He can't escort and look after the young miss for tomorrow.

The guard was suspicious. He did not want to receive the message. He immediately visited his house. When he arrived in front of his house. His partner looks in bad shape. He was not good to bother her for longer. At that time he was just standing at the door of the house without going inside. Not wanting to interrupt his break, he immediately resigned and returned to duty.

He reported the awkwardness in his heart to Leon. Leon must report to Zack.

"Master!" exclaim Leon.

"Is there a problem or a problem again?" ask Zack.

"Look, sir, a bodyguard who used to escort and care for the young lady felt incompatible with her new partner. He feels a little strange. He asked to find another replacement or work alone" Leon reported.

"No! Just let it stay that way. Not just new people. I'm sure he's not used to his new partner yet" replied Zack.

"Alright sir. I'll call him right away" Leon said, leaving his master.

Flashback off

Zack remembered what he said last night. It turns out he himself made a gap. He slapped both of his hands onto the surface of the table. He's so rampaging. Just now he saved his beloved daughter from Brandon's hands. His daughter was kidnapped by someone else.

Zack knows who kidnapped Emily. From the bodyguard's explanation, he said that Nana was surprised when she saw a man coming out of the car. Nana must have known the man who kidnapped them.

"Prepare the whole army. If you need to ask for additional help. Time to attack my father's base!" zack's orders.

On the other side of the car.

Emily sat on the bench and hugged Nana.

"Where are we going, Nana?" ask Emily confused. He asked his Nana many times. But Nana was silent. Her nana doesn't look like usual. Nana is usually very chatty.

"Nana! Nana!" call Emily many times.

"Eh, yes, dear" replied Nana.

"Where are we going?" ask Emily.

Nana looked at Emily affectionately. Then answer Emily's question gently.

"Nana reckon, we'll go to his mansion grandpa," said Nana softly.

"Grandpa?" ask Emily confused.

"Yes, dear grandpa. Emily's never met a grandpa, has she?" asked Nana softly.

"Yes, Em has never met a grandpa. I want to, Nana. Em wants to meet grandpa," said Emily jubilant.

Nana could only smile. At least he didn't lie to Emily too much. It's true that Emily has never met her grandpa.

"Lady!" exclaim Emily again.

"Dear, baby" replied Nana, stroking Emily's brown hair.

"Grandpa what's it like?" ask Emily curiously.

"Nana doesn't know what you look like, baby!" exclaim Nana.

"Didn't Nana ever meet a grandpa?" ask her again.

"Of course I have," said Nana softly.

"If so, what kind of grandpa?" ask her again.

"Honey, Nana can't explain it to you. Nana had met him and even worked with him. But Nana is very difficult to explain what Grandpa Em is like now," explained Nana.
