The Arrival of Rexa

"You?" Tanya Dave tightened his jaw.

"How are you Dave? Mommy misses you." Rexa asked about to get close to Dave and wanted to hug him.

"Stay there! Don't try to get close to me!" Let's say Dave's cold.

"Dave, Mommy misses you." Rexa said he wanted to get close to Dave but Dave chose to withdraw.

Arvina who had been a little far behind Dave was only confused to hear the chatter of Dave and the woman in front of them.

"missed me? Did you ever think I existed? DO YOU THINK I EXIST?" Ask Dave by raising his voice.

Rexa flinched and closed her eyes.

"Twenty-two years I lived alone and was only raised by the uncle. And now you're suddenly coming and claiming to be my mother? You said you missed me too? Should I believe it?" A series of questions Dave throws at Rexa who is his real mother.

Arvina was silent, she felt it was not the right time to cut or defend anyone.

"Your Daddy is sick and he wants to see you." Pinta Rexa sobbing.

"WILL WITH WHO'S SICK!" Dave snapped back and immediately went up to his study.

Dave shut the door of his study so tightly that Rexa and Arvina both flinched.

Arvina approaches Rexa and tries to calm Rexa down.

"Aunty, you better get aunty home first. Let me try to talk to Dave." Persuade Arvina to give a warm hug to Rexa.

"You must be Dave's wife. Your eyes are as beautiful as a woman in my past. Does my son always bother you?" Rexa asked trying to smile after Arvina let go of her embrace.

"No. Dave is so kind and loves me. Just go home and calm yourself. I'll try to talk to Dave." Arvina said softly and politely.

"alright. I'm going first. I hope Dave can hear you." Rexa.

"Hopefully get well soon." Arvina said, and Rexa left Dave's house.

After Rexa leaves, Arvina goes straight to Dave's office.

There was a loud sound like things falling and breaking.

"Dave?" Call Arvina while opening the door.

Dave's workspace became very messy, his antique gucci vase broke and scattered on the floor.

"Gosh, Dave.." Arvina panicked and walked over to Dave who was sitting on the floor with bloody hands.

"You why?" Arvina asks worriedly and takes a tissue to hold the blood from Dave's hand.

"Wait a minute! I'll get you a medicine box." Arvina's word was about to stand up but Dave immediately pulled her and hugged her tightly.

"Don't! Don't ask me to forgive them! I can't!" Pinta Dave with a wounded voice.

"Calm Dave.." Arvina rubbed gently on her husband's back.

Dave was crying hurt.

"Hey, let me treat your wounds first!" Pinta Arvina tries to let go of her embrace but Dave is reluctant.

"The wounds on my hands are nothing compared to the wounds they've inflicted in my entire life." Dave's words tightened his embrace.

"Dear, relax! I'm there for you." Persuade Arvina again.

The two then kept quiet for a moment, until Dave let go of his embrace because he was feeling a little better.

"Don't be sad anymore. Everything's gonna be okay." Arvina wiped away her husband's tears and gave a sweet peck on Dave's forehead.

"Come.." Arvina led Dave up and took him to sit on the sofa.

Arvina immediately looks for the medicine box and once she can, she immediately treats the wound on Dave's hand.

"It's done." Arvina reassembled all the drugs and equipment she had used back into the medicine box and put them back in place.

Arvina sat down next to Dave.

"Do you want to tell me something?" Arvina asked gently and hugged Dave from the side.

Dave was silent.

"I won't ask you to forgive them if you feel they're inappropriate. But remember one thing dear, every human being does not escape from mistakes. Whether it's a long-term or short-term mistake. Everyone can change and they have their own reasons." Arvina tries to understand Dave without forcing Dave to forgive Rexa.

Dave was still silent and felt the warmth of his wife's embrace.

"Big baby, say something! Don't make me feel like I'm talking to a rock!" Ketus Arvina hits Dave's belly softly.

Dave smiled a little.

"Why do you have such a big heart for everyone?" Dave asked, looking at Arvina's face, who was also staring at him.

"Mommy taught me not to hold grudges." Answer Arvina casually.

"It's up to you." Dave tipped the top of his wife's head.

"You want to tell me something?" Bargain Arvina again.

"My story is short, baby. From birth until it could be like today, only my uncle was there for me. My uncle is everything to me. She's my mom and dad to me. And for twenty-two years I have never felt the affection of my biological parents. That's all." Dave said with a sharp look.

"Yes, don't be sad anymore. Whatever decision you make, I'm there for you." Arvina gently stroked the sturdy jaw of her now slightly hairy husband.

"You stay here! Let me clean up your room. It's messy." Arvina pretends to babble.

Arvina then walked out of the room and was about to pick up the equipment to clean Dave's office.

Arvina's steps stopped when she saw Keanu's whereabouts not far from the main door of her house and was talking over the phone.

Arvina tried to get closer and wanted to hear what Keanu was talking about.

"So it's true that Ken and Dave are half-brothers?" Ask Keanu to make sure.

" ... "

"All right! Thank you for your help. Next time I buy you a meal." Keanu said instantly turning off his call.

"Why is it so complicated like this? How can they accept each other?" Mumbled Keanu massaged his head that felt dizzy all of a sudden.

"What did uncle say? Ken and Dave are half-brothers?" Tanya Arvina approached Keanu.

"Vina? You hear everything?" Keanu asked a little surprised.

"Tell me what really happened Uncle? How can Ken and Dave be brothers?" Ask Arvina back.

"Uncle doesn't know exactly what happened. But from the results of the investigation that uncle can indeed be like that. They're half-brothers with different fathers." Keanu was as clear as he knew.

"Different Father? What do you mean different dad?" Ask Ken suddenly.

Ken descended in haste and approached Keanu and Arvina.

"Ken..wait..Where are you going? You're still sick.." Shouted Arvina trying to stop Ken but in vain.

Ken doesn't want to hear anything or anyone.

"Jeez..why is it so complicated like this?" Arvina muttered her hair.

"Let him calm down! Take it easy, he'll be safe. Uncle has a tracking device in his bag." Obviously Keanu persuaded Arvina.

Arvina just nodded.

"Yes, uncle pamit first. Uncle just wanted to see how you were." Keanu said then left after getting a nod from Arvina.

"Ken and Dave are half-brothers? How come?" Arvina muttered still in disbelief at what she had heard just now.
