I was forced to get up by the sun forcing my way in from the window that was covered in a thin white curtain. I yawned, I saw a wall clock that showed at 7:30, I just remembered that today my friends have completed the 2nd mission. I hurriedly took a shower and prepared to go to the field.

Today was the second day of the introductions period and the last day for the juniors was scolded by the seniors and tomorrow was the day of confirmation as a disciple of Hollywings.

Finished getting ready I went straight to the field to see if my friends could complete this mission or not, because I only rarely met a mermaid, I see and befriend the fairies in Nevan's forest more often.

Arriving in the field I was presented by 4 large aquariums covered by black cloth, meaning this event has not begun. Since I saw my friends sitting in the Dining Room earlier, they were eating white porridge rice just like last night.

Ines asked me not to get too close to Karan and made it clear that Karan and I were just Master and Guard no more. I'm not surprised by Ines' statement, I expected it from the beginning. I just nodded at Inez's story, no words to answer.

Karan comes from behind Inez and when that too Ines turns into a sweet girl again in front of her partner. Last night Karan made it clear that his relationship with Ines was just a friend - no more and more loving to me than Ines.

I fixated on the front aquarium on the left, The aquarium has a strange wave compared to the other 3 aquariums. I saw Evans who was on the edge of the field with the other seniors, it seemed like they were discussing something, he also occasionally waved at me.

Karan blocked my vision with his body, he didn't like me being close to Evans but he was close to Ines himself. ”You forgot what I was talking about last night” Karan's voice sounded like someone who was jealous while Ines looked at me expectantly.

The first aquarium saw a female mermaid, she looks still small with her tail that looks beautiful. The second aquarium is also the same as the first aquarium, a small mermaid. The third aquarium saw a male adult mermaid, her body looks very stocky, it looks like the mermaid often fights with sharks in the ocean there so that her body looks very muscular.

I pointed the third aquarium at Karan. “Lumayan” Karan closed my eyes with 1 hand, I tried to take off his hand look cynical Karan face.

The third aquarium there is a mermaid woman quite old, but her body color is different from the others. The other three mermaids are pale white while the fourth mermaid is dark blue and her face is spooky.

I looked closely at the four aquariums, the 4th aquarium looks nothing like a mermaid. “That's Siren” I said when I saw his black eyes. Sirens are different from mermaids although they are both dugongs but Sirens include evil mermaids. Sirens are the heart-eating mermaids of witches to augment their power. Sirens captivated the witches with their melodious singing and their handsome and beautiful faces.

Suddenly the aquarium occupied by the Siren broke and when it was also he let out a scream that was enough to make the ears hurt. Karan covered my two cheeks with his hands while he looked down between his two arms.

His shout stopped, Karan made sure I was okay all of a sudden. Then very quickly, the Siren took out a deep blue liquid from his mouth, he spewed out the liquid in all directions at a considerable distance even as far away as I was.

Karan protects Ines when the liquid is pointed towards Ines but Karan forgets that if I am near them, I am automatically exposed to the blue liquid. It was very painful and very hot, it felt like it was burning.

I saw Karan he was protecting Ines with his robe so as not to get exposed to the liquid.I cried because this liquid was so painful, so it was very painful, I transferred this pain to Karan until my body was just a wound with no pain. When Karan accepted that feeling, he turned to me with a guilty look.

My legs felt limp and wanted to fall, but out of nowhere Evans came and carried me with both hands before I fell. Her face was so panicked, she took me to the infirmary. When I saw my three friends and their guards in the hallway near the field, they followed us into the common room.

Evans put my body on one of the mattresses close to the door in the infirmary and arranged it by the seniors who were exposed to the fluid from the Siren. There were probably 20 people who were exposed to the dark blue liquid. Sirens spewed out very quickly, so the people around the field were not ready to protect themselves but thank God my classmates were not hit.

“How did you get Karin?” Maryam's worried voice, I answered her with a smile.
