The Part 23

Zoey's been out of town for 3 days. During that time I thought a lot about our relationship going forward.

I am very sure of my feelings, but I do not want to be selfish either. I want my wife to be successful because I know that Zoey is very talented.

" David... Dave. "the voice of Mr. Kean made me realize.

" You okay ? " ask Mr. Kean while looking at my appearance.

Mr. Kean patted me on the shoulder and left me.

I still haven't moved from where I'm sitting. I looked out the window of the coffee shop. The streets are wet with rain, a little quiet because people choose to pull over so as not to get soaked. There are also some people who still pass by wearing umbrellas or using raincoats.

A sunny day can turn gray when cloudy clouds arrive and will then immediately let out a slow water droplet that quickly becomes swift. Then what after, will the rainbow adorn the sky ?

I immediately returned to my position after a few customers came in and ordered coffee.

Just finished serving customers, my phone suddenly rang. I see it from an unknown number. I hesitated to pick him up, but I finally picked up the call.

Apparently it was Jackson. He got my phone number from Mr. Rick. Jackson reveals that Zoey is in the hospital after falling down the stairs. And right now, Mr. Rick is with Zoey. She also tells him that Zoey will most likely lose her baby.

Instantly my body felt weak, powerless. I just found out if my wife is pregnant. Maybe this is what Zoey said about the special surprise.

Yes, I was surprised to get good news and sad news.

" What's wrong with you, Dave ? " ask Mr. Kean.

" Tu, Mister." I said with stammering.

It seems like Mr. Kean is surprised to see my condition which looks like a daze.

He immediately grabbed my phone that had fallen on the floor.

" Hello... " Mister Kean continues the call.

" Dave, come to RS xxx in town A. Zoey was treated there "said Jack then closed the call.

" sir... Zoey, she... She fell down the stairs and it was very likely that she lost her baby "my words were desperate.

Before long, the car was streaking through the city streets to the airport. I don't have to worry, because Mr. Kean has everything ready. Really, I don't know how to thank him for all the good he's done for me.

Now I'm on a plane heading to town A. Although the trip only takes an hour. As I feel, this journey has been so long. I just hope that Zoey and her future child in the womb are okay.

I continue to recite prayers for the safety of my wife and children. If I had known from the beginning that Zoey was pregnant, I would have forbidden her from working hard.
