CHAPTER 63 THE PAST OF AZAM

After performing Istikharah prayers for several nights. Finally Tiana solidified her initially worried heart now had felt certain of the choice she was going to make.

But before conveying her decision, Tiana intended to ask first about Azam's past which had always disturbed Tiana's mind. So the answer from Azam is the reason that determines Tiana's final decision.

After agreeing to meet, Tiana deliberately invited Fatimah to come with her to meet with Azam so as not to cause slander later. And so did Azam who invited Rido to accompany him to meet with Tiana. "What do you mean about my past? About my failed marriage? Is that what you want to ask me?" Azam asked with a long question. But Tiana realized that what Azam said was true was what she wanted to know the truth.

"True, is it not when two different kinds of people will start their new life at a more serious stage, they must be open to each other and not cover up anything so that it does not become a problem when they have decided to take a more serious step"

"There is nothing I can tell you about my failed marriage, because there is nothing special about me because I married my ex-wife because we were originally betrothed by my parents" Azam said while looking at Tiana's face from the side because Tiana did not want to look at her face.

"So that time you were also betrothed? Then why are you getting divorced?" Tiana asked again, it sounded if she was so excited to find out about Azam's past.

"Yes me and her were betrothed, and we divorced because I didn't love her and I felt like a bad fit after one year of our marriage. That's why I decided to divorce my ex-wife" said Azam and finally Tiana slowly turned to Azam. Looking deeply into both of his eyes. Because Tiana wanted to know whether Azam was lying or not. But at all Tiana did not find the slightest lie from the look of Azam's eyes.

"Aren't we also being betrothed? indeed the incompatibility is always present in every household, not the difference that makes the marriage relationship becomes sweet and memorable. Because sometimes there are household spices. Because incompatibility usually leads to quarrels, but can't everything be solved by being talked about carefully?"

"In my case it was different. In addition to the incompatibility. I don't love him at all. My parents said love would grow over time. But what I felt was different, which I thought was nothing but emptiness and made me dislike it even more because he had slandered me" Azam's words that succeeded made Tiana shocked to hear the reason Azam said about his divorce with his ex-wife.

"Excuse me first, Assalamu'alaikum" Azam said, rising up to rush away from Tiana.

But just a few steps he left Tiana, he then stopped his steps and turned to look at the woman who now completely filled the space of his heart.

"Whatever your decision I will accept, and if you give me the chance to prove myself, then I will try to make you happy after becoming my wife" Azam then continued his steps to meet Rido who was waiting for him.

Fatimah rushed to meet Tiana who had not yet moved from her place. " How sis, what is the answer of Ustad Azam?" Ask Fatimah curiously. But Tiana just shook her head. Make Fatimah now began to be confused and irritated because they are quite long talking, but have not yet got a definite answer from the continuation of their relationship.

"The truth? Did Azam mean he was not like his ex-wife?" Tiana asked herself in her heart.

"No, let's go home" said Fatimah, shaking her hand in front of Tiana.

"You know that earlier, I don't need to keep my sister here, free to wait for big brother for long, that brother doesn't know what he wants" he said again and then left Tiana because she was annoyed too long to wait.

Tiana sighed softly while staring at the departure of Fatimah who left herself behind.

"Fatimah was right, maybe I wanted too much. But right, I just want to know why Azam divorced his wife. That's it" Tiana said while holding her head which was now getting dizzy from thinking too much.
