"Sir, awake!"

"Daughter!" bang Devan said as he patted my right arm.

I blinked my eyes, looking around I fell asleep in this tree house.

"You may be exhausted, so you're asleep until nightfall" he said.

I looked out, it was already dark, and I glanced at the clock on my wrist, already showing it at eight o'clock at night.

"We have to go home, Bang!"

"No need" said Bang Devan, holding my hand.

"Then, we're gonna stay here?" much

Just a nod from Bang Devan in response.

"You wait here, don't go anywhere!"

"Where are you going?"

"Find some food" he answered. Then stepped over the suspension bridge on the sides that were filled with decorative lights, then Bang Devan came down from the stairs.

I wrinkle my forehead, is there anyone in this forest selling food? Or maybe Bang Devan was looking for food out of the woods? Ah I don't know, my stomach must have started rumbling again.

I looked around, even though there were some trees decorated by lights, but it turned out that it was night pine trees that lined up like turned into a gripping atmosphere.

I feel cold creeps. While waiting for Bang Devan, I rushed into the tree house and closed the door.

Although the tree house is very minimalist, but in the room there are some items that are very neatly arranged, such as cutlery and some books. In it, it is enough for just one person. But fortunately, this tree house has two floors, so it doesn't matter if Bang Devan and I stay here.

I thought, was this tree house made by Bang Devan himself? Because I saw no one else in this forest but me and Bang Devan.

"Daughter."

I feel like someone is calling me.

"Daughter, come here!"

I opened the door, then looked out.

Seen under this tree, there is Bang Devan with his right hand holding a fishing rod containing two large gourami fish.

'Wah .. cool, burn fish.' My inner sumringah.

Before I go downstairs, I take the two plates first as the dinner mat later.

I rushed straight over the suspension bridge and dismounted carefully.

Bang Devan gathered wood to burn, and made a bonfire. After gathering, Bang Devan lit his fire with a gas match that he always carried, then spread his fish. Don't forget Bang Devan heats the water, to make tea and milk chocolate warm for me.

"Be careful, before we start the long journey," he said, as he flipped through the fish he burned.

Bang Devan said, I must enjoy tonight before I embark on a very long journey.

After waiting for a few minutes, the fish we burned finally matured. Bang Devan and I took the gourami, and we ate each other's food. Even if I only ate fish, I felt full enough.

When I was drinking warm chocolate milk .. bruk ... Bang Devan pushed me aside. I toppled over, and the glass I was holding fell along with the contents.

"Aaww," I grimaced "Uhuk! uhuk!"

"What's the bang?"

"Look, by your side is a centipede!" he said pointing at the centipede.

"Aaaaa," I stood up immediately, and Bang Devan instantly killed the centipede.

If I hadn't been pushed by Bang Devan, maybe the centipede would have bitten me.

"Your drink? Let Abang make it again," he said.

"No need, Bang. I'm full," I refused.

I immediately sat in front of the bonfire that Bang Devan had made.

Warm. That's what I'm feeling right now sitting in front of the campfire, then Bang Devan sits beside me, but Bang Devan puts distance in our midst, we are busy with our own thoughts.

"If you're sleepy, go to sleep!" bang Devan muttered because he saw me yawn some.

"Alright, I sleep first Bang," said my saying, then hurry up to the top of the tree.

When I reached the terrace of the tree house, Bang Devan called me. "Daughter, you sleep upstairs!" his yell.

"Yes, Bang," I answered, then went upstairs, and immediately threw my body into the bed.

Hoaam .. I opened my eyes and immediately glanced at the clock, it was seven in the morning.

I rushed out, the atmosphere of the morning with a cold that was very piercing inward, decorated with a very thick fog. The sun greeted the morning with a smile that was very admirable and radiated warmth. The birds scattered to greet each other, with a charming chant of melody.

It turned out that Bang Devan was already outside smoking cigarettes accompanied by a cup of coffee.

I approached Bang Devan who was sitting on the terrace.

"We're going to Grandma's house now. If you want to take a shower first, take a bath in the river" he muttered with a flat face.

"But bang, I didn't bring ...."

"Your clothes are already in the car" he said, cutting me off.

Bang Devan told me, it turned out that Bang Devan came home after I slept, and brought some of my clothes. Bang Devan said, Mom was angry because you knew I had run away. Luckily Bang Devan didn't tell Mom that I was here. After one night, Bang Devan quietly went to my room to pick up some of my clothes and came back here.

"Bang, we better get to Grandma's house" I said

I told Bang Devan, if I don't want to take a shower now. In addition to the very cold weather, the fear of bathing in the river was the reason. Just wash your face and brush your teeth under the tree.

After that, Bang Devan and I went to Grandma's house.

Bang Devan drove the late father's car at a moderate pace, and after a few minutes, the car parked in a simple green-and-white yard. It looks like Grandma is sweeping in her yard. Even though he has entered the head of six, but his body is still healthy.

Bang Devan and I approached him immediately.

"Assalamualaikum Nek," I said while kissing the back of his palm, as well as the Devan bang.

"Eh, Princess, Devan, Waalaikumsalam Grandma's grandchildren," he replied as he embraced the two of us.

"Let's go in first Nduk!" he let us into his house, and we sat in the soft rattan chair.

"What's Nduk? Why are you here?" tanyanya while preparing some snacks. "Daughter, Devan, why don't you go to school?" continued.

Bang Devan and I looked at each other.

"Hem ka-we .. we ..." I said staggered.

"We're here to ask Grandma something" said Bang Devan. "Grandma remembered the time I found a baby on the street near the stop, and I brought him here" she continued

Grandma who was about to sit down, pegged for a moment and rounded her eyes.

"Yes Grandma, the princess knows everything" I said

"Nduk ..." she said softly, and Grandma sat down next to me, and held my fingers.

"Nduk .. forgive us for hiding this truth from you. Because we were entrusted by your late adoptive father to tell you the truth when you were eighteen. While you are currently only fifteen years old," he said softly.

"Princess Nek, because the princess found this paper and this photo," I said as I thrust it to Grandma.

Grandma took the paper, then read it.

"In the contents of the paper, there is a name where Nek, Putri and Bang Devan decided to go there," I said.

"To Palembang?" he asked, his shock could not be hidden.
