Only then entered the organizing process, which is the knitting of tobacco drawn lengthwise, laid out on thin boards with filter wire and then dried. After dry and reddish-colored filtered wire containing tobacco was placed overnight in the open, left exposed to morning dew. Then the tobacco is picked up, rolled up and put into a bamboo basket lined with dried banana midribs.

Of course, the long process was done by the supplier, the factory only received the results, all of it will be checked in the control room.

To make cigarettes, in addition to tobacco, also needed cloves, sauces and dry clobots.

Tobacco that has been through the examination process in the control room, given a sauce concoction consisting of fruit juice, coffee, spices and much more. The sauce was sprayed onto tobacco. What is clear is that the sauce is made based on a secret recipe known only to the owner, namely Mr. Nitisemito himself, as well as some members of his family.

Before the cloves are mixed into the processed tobacco earlier, first the cloves must be cleaned first, by soaking into water to make it soft and easy to grind. Then mixed with tobacco with a ratio of 2 to 1, or half part of the tobacco.

Cloves used by the Bal Tiga cigarette factory are from Zanzibar, Africa, which does not have much oil content and has a stronger taste, compared to cloves that come from within the country.

The next stage is the packaging of cigarettes, with the main ingredient klobot or corn skin. The klobot used mostly comes from Purwodadi and Demak. The best quality comes from Unda’an, but unfortunately the supply from the area is a little, so it must be mixed with klobot from other regions.

Next is the process of spinning, which is mostly done by women. The women sat face to face at short tables measuring half a square meter. On the left right they are piles of klobot and rattan baskets containing tobacco mixture. These workers were supervised by a white-clothed foreman who walked back and forth.

The spinning process is done by placing the tobacco mixture on a triangular-shaped clobot that has been ironed, then carefully rolled and tied to both ends using a jinggo or klobot-binding thread.

The factory opened at 06:30 and at exactly 07:00 the factory workers must be ready to work. But the foremen and controllers must have arrived at the factory by 04:30 a.m.

After the spinning process, continued the process of cutting excess tobacco at the tip of the cigarette to make it neater. Then proceed to the packaging process into the longsong or packaging. After completion, the cigarette products were sent to the warehouse in Jongenstraat and distributed to the selling agents.
