“Heh! Lo mending home, deh. Want you to stab here also Alka will not care lo.”
The spicy phrase had just slid from Arnold's mouth on the uniformed girl with pigtailed brown hair who was sitting on the swivel chair side of Alka's gurney.
Bianca.
The girl looked at Arnold not like it. Among all of Alka's friends present at this moment, only the white-robed man continued to spit out a line of eviction at her. Others are just busy with their own activities.
Except Devan, because that guy didn't come to see Alka today. What Bianca knew, the guy was dropping off his girlfriend at the airport right now.
“You, really, really busy, anyway? Look, your friends just don't care.”
Arnold grumbled at Bianca's style of speech. Honestly, Arnold's lifetime as Alka's friend, this time the guy talked to Bianca. Even when Alka was still Bianca's boyfriend.
“My friends don't care. They're just sick of seeing medusa like lo. So mending now you go from here in a fine way, or I kick.”
That's Arnold's style of speaking. He never cared about the feelings of his interlocutors. Well, except The Lion of course.
“Truly Bang Arnold! Dimas too, tea, sick of seeing a girl like her for a long time here. Make ugly sights.” Dias's play behind the couch invites laughter for them and an annoyed snatch from Bianca.
An alka? That guy has been quiet with his cell phone since. Quite lazy to say or glance at Bianca.
Bianca threw away the gaze from them and preferred to stare at Alka.
“Al, don't you want to talk to me? Or maybe call me a little?” ask Bianca. His face was clear on Alka until Arnold was completely fed up. Arnold didn't like the look of a girl. Because according to him, it was just a trick of the females.
Alka kept her phone on the edge of the mattress and stared at Bianca. The girl immediately showed a happy look on her face as Alka looked at her.
“Go well, or go with Arnold's feet that kick you out of here?” exclaiming Alka. The tone was cold to the point of making Bianca's heart really sliced. In the past, even though Alka had never spoken in this tone to her.
“You really hate me, Al? Don't you want to give me a second chance?” lirih Biancah. His eyes glazed with tears that kept pushing want to be removed.
Alka was still staring at Bianca. Not for a second shifted his gaze from that glassy blue sea iris. Alka wanted to confirm something from those eyes.
“Optional is in the hands of lo, Bi,” said Alka.
“Fine!” Bianca jerked at the swivel chair she was sitting on then walked out of the room after briefly throwing a glare at Arnold who was smiling triumphantly.
This Monday, Alka returned to school after Hadi—who had just returned from a business trip in Hongkong—managed her return quickly because Alka was sick of lingering in the hospital.
The man with the shirt legs removed and the tie not properly attached stopped his steps at the end of the second-floor stairs. His ears sharpened upon hearing a voice familiar to him.
“I don't want to take part in the ceremony, Ta. Reason for pain, yeah. I forgot to bring a tie.” That's Meira's voice, and Alka knows. Especially when the girl passed in front of him with Dita—which pulled his hand—without realizing the existence of Alka.
The guy with the right hand drowning in the pocket stared at his tie and Meira alternately. Long enough, until a thin smile comes back. He again stepped towards the stairs to reach the first floor, running after Meira and Dita who had almost entered the field area that was already filled with students to line up.
“Meira!”
Meira and Dita's steps stopped right after the distinctive heavy voice shouted Meira's name. Meira's feet were glued on the ground with a heart that was already crazy. For Upin and Ipin, who never graduated from Kindergarten, Meira was really not ready to meet the owner of the voice.
“Gue first, well, May.” voice and step Dita who joined the ranks of her class made Meira aware. He wants to catch up with Dita but the pull on her hand first controls her body until Meira can't move.
Alka came forward to Meira. “Why do you even want to go?” asked Alka with a brow.
Meira. His eyes moved restlessly to avoid eye contact with Alka. His two hands were squeezing each other nervously in front of his gray skirt.
“Gue likes to say the least, continue not to be watched.”
“Hah? Uh, a-anu... a-ku....” Meira scratched her non-itchy temple. He really doesn't know what to do at the moment.
“Lo why?” ask Alka. His voice was low to almost resemble a whisper.
"Groan."
"Oh, here's a tie I made you. Pinjem."
