2 Meters per Second
The real confusion

Only after this girl passed behind me did she sit in front of me, put down her book and pushed my desk, quickly taking my eyes off this book. No matter if there is a crowd, the library is full of conversations by my side. Even so, I could still hear some other classmates whispering at that time.

“Hey, this girl..?”

“Ya, it looks like so.”

“Eh... Seriously? Though people say, he did not like men, loh.”

My eyes were on this girl, but she covered her face with her book and I couldn't see who was in front of me. The girl in front of me was reading the book. Since that hairstyle and the smell of the perfume were exactly the same as my classmate who was usually called the Ice Princess, then I could immediately recognize her. She was indeed Yuanita Angraini. I'll guess, his face now must be upset without turning his eyes in another direction or glancing.

“Anita. Why are you here? Anita..”.

In the end, Anita continued to stare at her book and without any movement from her face or body, as if she was no longer interested.

“Anita. Are you listening to me? Oeee..”.

After I said that, the air around me felt as if it was being electrified. Wait, what did the young lady actually say?

Not long after, Anita suddenly closed her book, arranged and brought all her books, and finally she stood up from her seat. It was as if leaving me without a word being said.

Before that happened, I immediately stood up and said.

“Wait Anita! Don't leave! I was just kidding.”

Anita kept my words. He sat sweetly in his original place, put all his books down, and lastly opened the book he had read earlier.

Soon, an atmosphere of awkwardness between us ensued.

Tilting my neck, glancing at him a little while making sure that, can he be spoken to for now? But, apparently not, he looks very serious reading the book, until it no longer feels his laughter.

I scratched my own hair and tried to make a proper topic of conversation, to eliminate this annoyance of mine towards him.

Waitaminute! It seems like I felt a small movement on my bench, considering that this bench only fit for two people, who else am I and Anita alone in front of me. Maybe the movement of this bench is caused by the feeling of his feet that began to ache, because of sitting too long and his movement to hit the bench. It's marked he's getting bored and wants to talk.

“Anita. What is the meaning of your name?”

I said in a low and slow tone, but there was clearly confusion that I was showing from the hand movements around the book sheet.

“I don't want.”

“Hmm... Why Anita?”

“I don't like my own name.”

The effect of Anita's words felt like she was pouring liquid nitrogen on me who was frozen to say anything else. I noticed Anita's expression as she bit the bottom of her lips. It was the beginning of the same expression as he showed for everyone, the expression he showed when he did not want to be disturbed anymore.

“Anita, I'm sorry! If my question made you sick.”

“True. So don't talk to me much anymore!”

Anita's loud voice continued to echo in my ears just like back then.

Lothawat! I mispronounced him, the time is not right anymore ***!

The silence that covered me seemed like the surface of a frozen lake. It felt cold all over my body, silent pecking.

No one looked at her anymore or talked about her now, after hearing Anita say that, and no one knew what to say to her.

“Huh. But..”

“Keep, when and where did you meet him?”

I'm surprised ***! I was surprised and looked directly at Anita. But, Anita did not even see me, she continued to read the book.

Why is Anita even interested in the topic that I am talking about, even though I spoke to myself while recalling Ida's face.

“... In my dreams?”

“You want me to throw it to UKS, yes?”

“No, no. Duh, it's hard to explain. He's the guy..”

I spoke frankly, after which I was silent. Because it is dangerous if I continue, it can be more complicated and long, sorry I just keep quiet.

“Why are you silent? Speak Aam!”

“It wasn't you yourself who asked me to shut up!”

“Well, it remembers! You remember that I told you to shut up!”

Uhh... I don't know anymore, huh. I'm even confused.

“Hmm, so I told you not to talk to me much anymore! And you better shut up! After all, who is Aam?”

“Already, do not continue Anita! I'm confused!”

I think our conversation must have sounded really stupid. The chatter between my classmates became increasingly irregular, while the curious eyes of Anita even felt more piercing. The next hour is subject B. The English I dislike the most, but at the same time, the sound of the bell entering the lesson sounds like the savior in my eyes.
