A Blinder
Can't Control My Self
The next day, at Areun's Office,
"Where's your blind date?" jay asked to offer a warm cup of coffee which was immediately accepted with pleasure by Areun.
"Yeahhh.." Areun let out a heavy sigh. "Maybe I was destined not to get married" replied Areun, then sipped his coffee.
"Don't do that. I'm willing to marry you but you're still looking for another one" Jay frowned.
"It's also because of your prayers, right?" chirps Areun. He remembered Jay's plea last time.
The petitioner was broken,
"Haha... Is my prayer so powerful that it can be fulfilled?" jay is proud. "Well, that's why I'm married. This is a sign of destiny,"
"You've got a girlfriend, I don't want to be a pe-la-kor" Areun said, spelling out his last words slowly.
"But I don't love Dara either. He's the one who's been chasing me all the time from High School" Jay looked defensive.
"Whatever it is, you already have status" Areun said.
"If you change your mind, tell me, yes!" pinta Jay gently and her eyes twinkled looking towards Areun.
Jay actually loves Areun but Areun who already takes him like a brother because he is too familiar never takes Jay seriously. And also because Areun knew Dara loved Jay so she relented so as not to hurt her friend.
"But I'm looking at the rich you were expecting your blind date yesterday so, huh?" terka Jay looked at Areun's gloomy face.
"Well, it's usually like this too, klo I hope but fail." Areun said.
"Say you don't like men ten years older than you,"
"If this is an exception. He's so handsome that even if you look at his face, you'll never think he's forty-five."
"really? That handsome? Just who do I look like?" challenge Jay to sound confident
"Apple to Apple" replied Areun briefly. Avoid answering them in real terms.
"Not Galaxy to Galaxy?" jay chuckles.
"That's the brand" replied Areun and laughed.
"It's nice to see you cheerful again" jay's thrower managed to make Areun blush.
A few days passed but there was no news of Jaemin. Areun's heart was still planting hope and was so restless waiting for the good news. But as time went on and there was no good news, Areun began to convince himself that there would be no continuation of the meeting he and Jaemin at that time. The shadows of Jaemin's face continued to flash through his mind and heart.
As per his habit Areun played music that matched his mood at the time. He played back and forth the song from Jin BTS "Yours" which is the OST of the Jirisan series.
In his mind always said, it was obvious Jaemin would definitely refuse to marry her. Although what was more painful to Areun was the fact that Jaemin rejected him without notice, leaving without clarity.
He also sincerely blind date this time must fail again, because this is also his own fault He pretended. But he thought that even if he did not pretend, Jaemin would accept him as his wife.
Although his heart was sad and hurt again, Areun tried to act ordinary in front of Kasi. Because Areun did not want to make Kasi feel sad as well. It was enough for him to trouble Kasi.
A few days later . .
On a cool night after the rain, Areun watched out the open window looking around that was wet from the rain. He paused for a moment from doing tasks on his laptop. His room, which measures 1.5x2 meters, he left dark. There was only the light from his laptop that was on and the street light that entered through the window.
"Did I just take Jay's offer, huh?" thought Areun was staring blankly into the distance.
"But Dara will definitely hate me. But if I accept Jay, I can relieve Kasi's heart and I don't have to worry about marrying Jay, because she's my own friend," he somehow still feels bad even though just his thinking.
The sound of running footsteps approaching to Areun's room broke the loneliness of the moment. Areun who was drifting in his daydream turned towards the open door. But he was indifferent, Jake his nephew thought.
"They agree!" yelled Kasi enthusiastically and so sumringah wiggled his flaming phone beside the ear. Areun jumped out of his chair in surprise.
"Agreed what?" asked Areun squinting his eyes in confusion. Alternately look towards Kasi and mobile phone.
"Mr Jaemin is going to the next stage!" he said with passion.
"Aaaa..really?!" pekik Areun was happy. His eyes sparkled and his heart skipped a beat as he returned to his handsome face and Jaemin's near-perfect posture.
"Am I dreaming?" areun asked still could not believe this shocking news.
Areun and Kasi tied their fingers together and jumped up in excitement.
"OK.oke...relax!" Kasi regulated her roaring breath. "They want to have a family meeting tomorrow night" Kasi said more surprisingly.
"But.." Areun who was happy and spirit became moody. "Which he knows I'm blind, and then tomorrow I have to keep pretending?" tanya Areun grimaced holding onto Kasi's hand.
"Yes too, I forgot about that. How then?" The back asked.
"If I'm honest, can he accept me for lying to him? How's Kasi?" Areun whined like a child.
"I'm confused about this too." Kasi scratched his head which became itchy from thinking. "We'll see how things are going tomorrow, Areun. Then we'll decide how it should be."
The night passed so slowly. Areun was so agitated that he could not sleep. Good and bad news came with it tonight.
A.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a..a slow-pitched intro song and the melodious voice of singer Taeyon played on Areun's phone. Can't control Myself, as if reflecting Areun's current state. He was so confused to make a decision for tomorrow. He did not want to be wrong until his hope of getting married to Jaemin was destroyed. Left right, round back he faced his body covered in half a blanket.
"Armghhh!!!!" He covered his face with a blanket. "How's this? One decision will determine my future" Areun said.
"Honestly I don't want this to fail, I really want to marry Jaemin. Even if I had to pretend to be blind as long as I could marry Jaemin, I would!" whining in the heart.
"But is that a good path? Why is this so hard!" thought again.
Without realizing it, Areun's eyes closed and Areun slept by himself.
