Episode 9: Remember Me with a Smile

After Grandfather's departure, the atmosphere in the village became sad. The villagers felt lost for the departure of the much-loved wise figure. For Aldi, Grandfather's departure left a deep wound in his heart. Although she felt lonely in the absence of Grandpa, she knew that she had to continue the adventure of her life.

In the next few weeks, Aldi continued to live his routine with a heavy heart. He returned to the lake, to the river, and to the shore, but this time without the presence of Grandfather who always accompanied him. He felt alone on a mediocre journey.

One day, while he was walking by the lake, he met an old man who was fishing there. The old grandfather smiled gently at Aldi and let him sit nearby.

"My name is Grandpa Joko. What brings you to this lake, son?" ask Grandpa Joko kindly.

Aldi was moved by Grandpa Joko's kindness. He begins to talk about his travels with his deceased grandfather. Grandpa Joko listened attentively and gave Aldi support.

"My grandfather used to say that adventure was a part of life. Even though Grandpa is gone, I have to continue my journey and honor the wonderful memories we shared together" Aldi said with teary eyes.

Grandpa Joko smiled and nodded, "That's right, son. Those memories were priceless treasures. Even if your grandfather is gone, his love will always live in your heart."

Since that meeting, Aldi has often spoken to Grandpa Joko and listened to stories of his life experiences. Grandpa Joko is like being a substitute grandfather for Aldi, providing support, encouragement, and wise advice. Aldi feels that there is something special about Grandpa Joko, as he came to fill the void in Aldi's heart after his Grandpa's departure.

One day, Aldi invites Grandpa Joko to visit the beautiful dense forest he once explored with his Grandfather. Even though Grandpa Joko had aged a lot, he happily agreed to it. The two of them walked through the tall trees and listened to the enchanting sounds of nature.

When the sun began to set, they decided to return to the village. On the way home, Grandpa Joko suddenly stopped and looked at Aldi gently.

"Son, I know that I won't always be with you. I'm honored to know you and be part of your life's adventure. But, remember that every meeting has its time for separation. Never forget the wonderful memories we shared together" Grandpa Joko said in a meaningful voice.

Aldi felt compelled to hear Grandpa Joko's words. He hugged Grandpa Joko tightly, thanking her for everything she had given him.

Time goes on, and Aldi's relationship with Grandpa Joko grows stronger. They both spend time together happily, enjoying the beauty of nature and sharing stories about life.

However, as Grandpa Joko said, every meeting has its time for separation. One day, Grandpa Joko has to leave for good. Aldi felt sad because he lost the figure of a substitute grandfather who was so special in his life.

In front of Grandpa Joko's grave, Aldi recalled all the beautiful moments they shared. He knew that even though Grandpa Joko had left, their happy memories would still live on in his heart.

"I'll remember you with a smile, Grandpa Joko. Thank you for being such a valuable part of my adventure" Aldi said in a trembling voice.

With a heart full of love, Aldi promises to continue to live his adventures passionately, honoring the memories of both Grandfathers who once filled his life with happiness and wisdom. Aldi realizes that every breakup teaches him about the true meaning of love and the precious opportunity to share the moment with his loved ones.
