ALKISAH: Prayer for the World [1001 Indonesian Fantasy Stories]
STORY: The Flower That Hides Horror

It was really very difficult to look at this world in such a good way, moreover Sully had also almost never found any decent kindness since he had settled into this human world.

Day by day, the world is moving towards destruction by human activities, and that is one of the reasons why Sully is so difficult to maintain the good in him. Even so, Sully still did not intend to give up on the truth.

Sully will never stop protecting life, no matter what.

“But, that doesn't mean giving up is bad, does it? We can also rest for a while, right? I mean, giving up is not a bad or good choice, it is just something that must be done at the right time for the good of ourselves.”

It took a long time until the words of Ujang vanished brought by the wind that blows hard. The tall, slightly dark-skinned young man was standing next to a strangely dressed mysterious man.

The figure of the beautiful young man in white and bright golden blonde and dressed in clean white cloth, named Sully, a man who is able to control plants. Whether it's trees, grasses, flowers. To Sully, it was like a part of his own body.

However, Ujang did not care much about it, because for him it was a matchless happiness to be able to make friends with a good person like Sully. And here, under this old banyan tree, Ujang and Sully met every day.

“Hey, who wants to give up?” Sully asked in wonder. The young man was still sitting on a bench made of teak where he always sat, while observing the children who were playing in the park not far ahead there. “Who will look after those kids if I give up? You?”

“Wah... cruel very, sir.” Ujang murmured while squeezing his left chest.

“Hehe... I'm kidding, kok.” Sully said while grinning. “But, yes, I will not give up. I'll take care of every kid that comes to play in this park. No matter if they are going to be bad or good, important, I will still take care of their childhood, no matter what.”

“They... are still too innocent to see any other reality of this world. I just want them to keep playing like that, without knowing anything, and let that destiny will show them those horrors someday.”

“Yap, I also agree with that one.” Ujang. “By the way, can you not take care of that first.” Ujang pointed towards the figure of another creature that stood not far there and seemed to target children in the park. The figure was like a wisp of black smoke that resembled a giant wolf and had two glowing green dots like eyeballs.

“Sin? Though it is still afternoon loh.” Sully muttered while sticking his palm on the banyan tree that was right beside him.

Suddenly, the roots of the banyan tree began to gush out from within the ground swiftly, and directly chased after the wolf. The wolf who was unaware of the coming of the roots was unable to do anything as the roots pierced through his body and lifted him into the air.

“Heh... so sadistic.” Bisik Ujang was horrified as he looked up at the tree. Apparently, up there were so many black creatures that had been defeated by that old banyan root. Some are in the form of wolves, snakes, bulls, lions, and I don't know what else. Everything was dead and now they began to be melted into the dust of green light.

However, for some reason the neck seemed to move on its own, and the blank stare of his eyes was immediately fixed towards a single white flower that grew alone among the grass not far from there.

“Hmm... “Jang then turned his gaze towards Sully with a wide smile forming on his lips. “You're really too good, Sul!” Saying while embracing Sully and ruffling his hair.

“Stop woy, Jang!”
