Not Wanting to Disappoint You

Ariyani looks surprised because apparently Sakti recognizes that he is here and is watching the movements of his son but of course it is too late for Ariyani to escape because Sakti has seen him and approached him.

“What is Mama doing here?”

“Did Mama come here for worrying about me?”

“What did you say? Of course not, Mama did not come here to worry about you, Mama came here because she accidentally walked here.”

Ariyani seemed unwilling to chat too long with Sakti because her chest rumbled once at this moment wanting to cry but she held him back and hurried away from there after it felt like she could no longer hold back her tears. After being at a considerable distance from the place where Sakti lives now Ariyani stopped her car and cried loudly, she could no longer hold back her tears so as not to spill, he did not expect that Sakti would still marry Ambar and choose to live in a place like the one he had just seen.

For a moment Ariyani was crying to ease the burden she was facing and after all felt much better now Ariyani slowly wiped her tears and pushed back her car towards home. Ariyani has just arrived home and apparently she has been awaited by the husband who seems curious to go anywhere Ariyani just now.

“I've been looking for you since, said your aunt was going out.”

“Iya, I did go out.”

“What happened to you? Why do you seem to have just cried?”

Ariyani was surprised by the question asked by her husband, Ariyani refused that she was not crying but of course the husband knew exactly that at this time Ariyani was not okay.

After their marriage, Valdo could not immediately invite Sintia on her honeymoon and Sintia did not dispute that. Sintia says that Valdo must work to live it and he can understand it. Regan came to Ambar's house in the afternoon to meet the woman but the one who came to see her was Warsinih, the mother of Ambar seems to dislike the arrival of Regan and asks Regan to leave this house.

Regan certainly did not want to be expelled like this when he had not got what he wanted, Regan asked Warsinih to allow him to meet with Ambar but Warsinih did not give permission for Regan to do so. Warsinih also threatened that he would call residents to expel Regan if this man remained insistent on not leaving.

“Are you sure you want to accept Sakti as your daughter-in-law?”

“Don't Sakti now get kicked out of his family and he has nothing left? If you accept her as a daughter-in-law then what can you ask of her?”

Warsinih was so offended by Regan's remarks just now that seemed to insinuate his past, he said, Warsinih said that he did not ask Sakti for anything but Regan did not believe it because Warsinih had asked him for many things.

Ariyani is still thinking about the current condition of Sakti, as a mother, of course, she cannot see that her son is currently suffering because of the choices she has made, but Ariyani does all this solely because she does not love her child but more to make Sakti know that if he chose a path outside his family then he will lose everything but the boy still did.

Ariyani is not out of thought with her son who still wants to marry Ambar, Ariyani certainly does not want if his son should end like this but he has no other choice. Even because Ariyani is too busy with her thoughts, she does not realize that the husband has actually returned home and is watching her.

“Have you been like this for a long time?”

“What do you mean ask that?”

“You must be thinking about Sakti right?”

Ariyani certainly can not avoid the questions asked by the husband, he said, Ariyani can only sigh heavily and then the husband said that Ariyani should not waver and accept Ambar as their daughter-in-law.

Day after day passed and now the wedding day of Ambar and Sakti was getting closer, Sakti says that all the needs for her marriage and Ambar are almost done and Sakti seems very happy with all that but not with Ambar. Of course Sakti was curious why Ambar was so unhappy when soon they were getting married.

“Ambar, why are you not happy like this? Is it because you are burdened for marrying me?”

“Not that, it's just that I feel you're pushing yourself too hard to throw a fancy wedding, I've already said that I don't need a fancy party, if we have to get married simply, I don't have a problem.”

Just now Sakti was about to say something as if someone was interrupting her, that person seemed to dislike Sakti who was about to marry Ambar.
