I attended two funerals for the same person. It seems impossible, there are two deaths for the same person in different years. However, the events of Mak Iroh were not the first. Before, I experienced something similar about the death of someone who repeated.
In 2008, a former para-ji in my village died. His age when he came home was about 80 years old. I know him well, because when he was a child he was taken care of. It's just that when I was a teenager, we rarely met.
In my memory, a figure commonly called Ende Sumi (ende means grandmother) has died from falling in the bathroom (according to his family). But two years later, precisely in 2010, he reportedly died again with the same cause as I heard in 2008. Rebut I can't believe it. In fact, I had locked myself up all day in the room to ensure the validity of the phenomenon I was experiencing.
For the sake of a quieter life – when it was – I thought maybe there was something wrong in my memory. The death of Ende Sumi in 2008 and 2010 could have been just a form of chaos or trickery of the mind. Something that is believed to be true happened, in fact, has been distorted due to memories that are not able to hold every detail of the object perfectly. However, why is the cause of death of Ende Sumi the same? A coincidence? I try to get rid of these questions little by little.
The phenomenon I've been through is hard to believe. There is no empirical evidence to show. Anybody would probably say the same thing as my dad, ngaco. It means that my story is only considered to be fabricated.
As time went on, my curiosity ebbed. Sometimes I don't want to remember the events of Ende Sumi, but sometimes I get excited to find the truth.
I also searched various information on the internet to dig up data related to the phenomenon I experienced. I finally found the term Mandela Effect. The term was first popularized by Fiona Broome –, a paranormal consultant.
Fiona Broome says former South African president Nelson Mandela died in the 1980s. It is also claimed by many. In fact, they say Nelson Mandela died in prison and they also claimed to watch the news of the president's funeral on television.
There was an interval of about 30 years until the recorded history of Nelson Mandela died on December 5, 2013. Later, the term Mandela Effect was used to refer to a group of people who are mistaken in remembering a thing.
Could it be that there was a conspiracy they had created or that they were actually confabulating? Given the details of an event that actually never happened, because human memory can add, subtract, or deflect facts. Or is their story true? I don't know! I'm at this point. In theory it's hard to accept reason, but I'm sure it happened. Could it be that the phenomenon was related to the mystical realm? Because in this world many supernatural things are still difficult to explain by science. In conclusion, mandela Effect or mystical space?
Yesterday I asked about Mak Iroh's death to Father with the intention of clarifying the truth of my memory. Unfortunately, it makes me even more confused. If my memories were not coupled with the mystical events I had experienced, I probably wouldn't feel so troubled.
I saw Dad relaxing on the couch playing his phone. I approached him to ask for his point of view on the parallel world. It was a bit awkward and doubtful, because I rarely talked about serious or personal matters with him.
“Daddy again what?” ask me to make sure if Dad can be talked to without involving a lot of emotions.
“Read the news that is trending lately,” he replied while putting the phone on the table. “What's up, Yes?”
“Arya wants to chat with Dad,” I explained.
“Tumbens. What's up, huh? About college or personal problems?” ask again with a serious look.
“Not, Dad.
“Then?”
Looking at Father's expression, there was a hint of hesitation to tell the story. But we have faced each other. The responsibility not to continue, “Dad believe not if there is another world besides the one we occupy now?”
Dad nodded his head. “Have it been magical? It does exist.”
Shaking head, “Not, Dad. Arya gini means..” I try to approach by speaking softly. I hope Dad gives a review that hit my mind, “Our world has one or two or even unlimited other worlds, called multiverse or parallel worlds. So, our world is not only side by side with the supernatural world, but there may be another world whose contents are exactly what is in our world, he said, even the actors in the world are us too. It may just be a process of living a different life. For example, Arya who in this world is still alive, while Arya who is in the parallel world turned out to have died a few years ago.”
Dad pulled his left hand against his chin, “You told me about the movie you watched? Or tell me about a fictional book you read?” His voice began to swoop.
“Not, Dad. Arya's serious. This is also related to the Arya.” experience My words began to get a bit emotional.
“Daddy is also from earlier seriously horrin you,” his voice raised, “Kamu in Bandung pray 5 time is not hollow, right? Njai too, right?”
“Kok Dad even so ask that? Well, Arya still remember how to pray 5 times, njai, and carry out other obligations as a Muslim.”
“Still remember? Don't always remember?” His face began to sternly look at me. I forgot that Dad was so thorough, especially in interpreting words. “From the beginning I didn't agree you went to college out of town. Posting in a place where Dad doesn't know what people are either. Your daily life is hard for me to keep an eye on. This is what Dad's biggest fear is when you're far from Dad's sight. The question you just asked is something that reality does not exist. It is only a conspiracy theory to keep people away from religion. Do not let your mind has been infiltrated by liberal ideas, huh?”
“Yeah, why is Dad's voice so high gini to Arya? I mean Arya wants a discussion with Dad, want to know Dad's opinion. Why do we talk about something else?” My comment was in a somewhat annoyed tone. I think there will be a time when Dad will be open, willing to listen to my story first without flicking anger.
“It is precisely the topic you bring to tell stories that makes Dad worried. Suddenly you talked about what it was. parallel worlds. Where there is such a world. Humans are getting smarter, the more curious about everything. But as it deepens to dig into knowledge, it has the potential to blur faith in God. Finally what? I'm afraid you're more busy taking care of worldly data here and there so forget which ones haq and which ones are vanity.” Dad's getting more eager to advise me. Just opening up was already too difficult.
This is the reason I have long been reluctant to tell him about the things beyond reason that I have experienced. At the end of it, Father will cut me down with words of pearl. Not that I don't like it, but I need more of his views first – brainstorm or information that might cross generations.
“Sorry, Dad. Dad's worries are overrated. Thank you for your time. Then Arya sleeps first.” I got up from the chair.
“Arya... Dad hasn't finished talking,” call him half yelling.
“Arya is sleepy, Dad,”.
I tried to break down my body in a more dissatisfied mood. There's no answer I can match to unravel this mystery.
The events of Ende Mar and Mak Iroh died and then died again made my brain shrouded in a myriad of questions. If I am mistaken in remembering, why in the span of the first to second death I have never met or heard from them?! We live in one village. Is it because I rarely leave the house? But rarely does it mean I never socialize with the community. Ah, what other mystery challenges my life!
I understand that human thoughts and memories can be very wrong in storing information. But, I actually experienced things that people might think were just a concoction.
I tried to contact Arya to tell her about my experience and exchange ideas with her. He's the only person who at least knows that there are a lot of unusual things in my history.
“Assalamualaikum, Dan,” greet me expectantly.
“Walaikum greetings, Yes,” reply spirit. “How are you doing at home?”
“My news is good, Dan. How are you?”
“Good too. Emmm... I think there's something important you want to tell me?” He can guess, because if it is not important I would prefer to talk through chat.
“You don't want to sleep yet, do you, Dan?” my many.
“Not yet. Is this about Mas Bimo?”
“Not, Dan.”
“Then?”
I set my breath for a moment, preparing myself if Dani's response might be the same as Dad's. “Gini, Day. Yesterday there was a neighbor of mine who died.”
“Terus?”
“I've hurt his funeral before, 3 years ago”, I said calmly.
“Means he was once a torpor?” tanyakanya.
“It's not like that, Dan. So, 3 years ago he passed away. I watched and watched his funeral. The problem is, he died again yesterday. I know that seems impossible. But I really remember the first incident when he died”, I explained confidently, “I tried to tell my father the same story, but he thought I was nervous and accused me of making up stories. I really experienced that. I'm pretty sure my memory isn't wrong, Dan.”
“Sorry yes, Yes! If anyone died 3 years ago and then died again yesterday, it would be impossible. My advice, you try to calm yourself first. You remember again in detail how it happened. What you are experiencing is part of a phenomenon called Mandela Effect.”
“So, you know about Mandela Effect?”
“I read about it in Kaskus Forum about 2 years ago. He said, our thoughts can be so manipulative that when mistaken in remembering something. Our memories will hold thousands or maybe even millions of memories that can not be photographed objectively,” his voice seemed excited to provide an explanation.
I'm agitating for an additional experience, “But Dan, this isn't the first incident I've experienced. In the past, something similar has happened. A grandmother, a neighbor of mine too, whom I remember having died long enough, was pronounced dead only two years later. I know, it's a senseless experience. However, I actually experienced it, Dan”.
“Emmm...” Sounded Dani muttered. “OK. The two events have a gap of 3 years and 2 years, meaning quite long. Well, at that time try to remember never interact with them or maybe see them.”
All the advice from Dani I've done over and over again. “In precisely the time span of the first and second deaths, I have never seen or heard of them again, either, like a dead person who never meets again and has not been talked about by the community.”
“Continue analyzing you, Yes? I myself can not give much opinion about it.”
I tried to throw the main premise, “Maybe not Dan, there is another world that is twinned with our world and goes exactly the same as our life?”
Dani still sounds enthusiastic, “You mean, parallel world?”
“Iya.”
“I don't believe that much yet. That's just the assumption of a physicist through quantum mechanics that says if a particle is fired into a wall then the particle can bounce or make up for it. We may see it bounce off, but in another world view the particle appears to penetrate the wall,” he explained shows the side of knowledge/intelligence.
“Then, your opinion?”
“Maybe in this universe there is another life beyond earth whose civilization is more advanced than ours. However, if we have a twin who also lives in a twin world with us, a world that runs parallel to our world, I think it still needs a long enough proof for the theory. It could be that we are already dead when scientists discover the true facts of a parallel or multiverse world.”.
“Not wrong I told the same science kid.”
“Yes, don't start! I'm just the wrong student, want to enter Management and even kemplung to Biology. Haha..”
“But we both study life. One learns how to survive, one learns the life cycle. Haha...” Kutimpali.
Our conversation was going to be sleeping in an uncertain direction. We are excited to exchange stories about school life and the background of choosing a college major. I deliberately distorted the subject, because it was different from our point of view. To me, it all feels real. For Dani, it might take some time to believe because he did not or has not experienced the events that happened to me.
Parallel worlds or multiverse is a theory that continues to be proven by scientists. Many are curious, but not a few doubt the truth. Science can prove events scientifically. But isn't everything in this world necessary and scientifically explainable?
