Arselan System: AI Controller

Arselan System: AI Controller
Chapter 023: The Suspicious Criminal Disciple

"Additional classes are flexible, right?" asked Arjuna in the dining room while he was having breakfast, "From the beginning of the registration, Menambak Class did not tell me at all the list of members who graduated."

"Yes, I guess," replied Putu after swallowing the leftovers in his mouth, "I've heard that in a class like the Fetching Class it's a system like natural selection. So, you will not be recognized as a member until you actually graduate from the academy. If you can survive until graduation, you can get a big advantage in the military. If you're in the middle of the road .. well, that's all you can do."

"Oh, the senior officer there is just a little," Arjuna muttered, then devoured his absorption.

"Say, the senior of the Pounding Class is great, huh?" ask Ats curious. He had heard from Fang that his comrades who had survived to this day were extraordinary. They can aim for multiple moving objects in less than a minute. Reportedly, they also often train sparring in special places, even hunting in spots provided by the government.

"Yes, understand me. The instructor was fierce," Arjuna recalled the time he and the other new students were yelled at yesterday, "Eh, but there was a senior who was not yet good. Amazingly, he did not turn red at all, even though he was often scolded by the instructor."

"The determination is strong," praised Solar flat.

"Hm," Arjuna nodded in agreement, "Whose name, huh? Salim-kah's? Or Salman?"

"Greetings," Putu straightened out, "He is indeed a popular person. Despite his lacking talent, he never gave up at all."

"Oh, that one anyway," Ats remembered his story, "The disciple who can rank last continues, right?"

"Yes," Putu nodded, "When he was very diligent."

"Hmph! Means it's not effective," Solar gave a different assessment from his friends regarding the poor student, "There are no fools in this world. He could've been better. He shouldn't just work hard, but work smart."

"Hm?" Ats and the others turned their heads at once, "Well, it's not wrong, but the senior wasn't wrong either. There must be something he got after trying that much."

"Or," Arjuna thought of something different, "Maybe he's just pretending to be stupid for camouflage."

"...!?"

As Arjuna said that, a young man behind him gasped, but no one noticed. He silently remembered Arjuna's voice. It might be useful for him later.

"Oh, maybe," Ats chimed in. He was carried away by the words of Arjuna who did like things smelling mystery and spy since childhood. "You mean, he has a certain mission that requires him to be, right?"

"Well, yeah!" Arjuna. It made the young man behind him barely look over. He became curious about the faces of new children who talk about the famous bad boy.

"Hais .. is not good to accuse carelessly," Putu reminded, "Even though he sucks so, he is an inspiration to many people, you know."

"Masa? According to ordinary course," argued Solar who then sipped his drink, "Rather than an inspiring figure, he is more like a lesson for people who are critical."

"Shelf!"

The seat behind Arjuna shifted quite tight. It made them simultaneously turn their heads and find a young man walking away from them among the many other disciples. Arjuna frowned. He knew the skinny body gesture.

"Eh, let's not say it's Salam" whispered Arjuna to his friends. He's still not sure. "From now on, he's behind us."

"Huh? A timing? He heard all the dong," Ats felt bad.

"I guess, he's sulking because of you, Jun," Solar alleged. Neither did Arjuna accept, "Hus! Offhanded! You're the one who's mocked him the most, you know."

"You accuse him of being a spy" Solar responded flatly, "Hais."

"I'm just kidding, '" Arjuna defended himself. How did he know that the person behind him was the senior they were talking about. "There's no way he's craving it because of that, is he?"

"Hm" replied his friends. They quickly finished the remaining breakfast and returned to the room. There's about half an hour left before the gate closes.

"The information gathering is complete" Arselan said in Ats's mind. He also appears in the form of his detective cat. Yeah, but only Ats can see it.

Name: Hail Eden

Age: 18

Status: Student

Affiliation: Altair Academy

Threat Level: Weak

Note: Population data is incomplete. There was a discrepancy in his bio. Salam Eden (Recorded to have died on 01/04/123 Kelender Pascaskema).

"Died ten years ago?" ats muttered confusedly, "You're sure this data is valid?"

"The effectiveness of the information has been confirmed" Arselan said. Her cat's body tapped on the interface screen where Ats read the information until it surged like pool water touched by hand. The system seems to be underrated.

"There may be another name for Salam Eden in the empire," Ats tried to think of another possibility, "It is unlikely that he entered the academy without a real identity."

"Identity data related to Salam Eden is only in the identity column in the academy" Arselan said. He again tapped on the interface screen in Ats' eyes, "While his official population data in the empire was not found at all except for the dead man."

"That's weird. Is it possible that the academy is being cheated?" Ats pondered in wonder, not believing in such a thing, "The Academy has a strict file selection. How could a person without that official identity possibly enter ... unless!?"

"Hi, Ats," cried Arjuna to make Ats realized from his reflection, "Ngapain daydreaming early in the morning? I want to go in. The gate is closed again."

"Eh!? Yes," Ats rushed to pack his remaining items, then carried his small bag on the shoulder. They left and reached the school complex five minutes before the deadline.

"Arselan found a disciple without an official identity?" professor Han asked to make sure his hearing was not wrong. He also wraps a beard. Among the secondary functions of the system there is indeed a useful to find out the official biodata of a person and detect data irregularities. Well, even if it's privacy data, the government and certain people can open it, while Ats is a special case where it acts as the owner of the system. "Who is that student?"

"Greetings Eden," replied Ats who now shows a profile photo of Salam from his social media page, "He is a famous third-year student who sucked, but his efforts are very hard."

"Third year's disciples? It was only fitting that I didn't know him," Professor Han noticed Salam's unfamiliar face to him, "I was still in the central laboratory when he entered the academy."

"Is the academy indeed able to accept such a disciple?" Ats asked what had confused him since. Professor Han shook his head, "That's impossible. Even if he did not have an identity from birth, he would definitely be directed to create an identity first in the Imperial Population Agency to complete his dossier."

"Ah, yes!" Ats recalled something most awkward, "Ham Eden's name was indeed in the official population data, but he was recorded as dead since ten years ago."

"Had died!?" professor Han exclaimed in disbelief, "This is obviously very strange. It is not his true identity. Existence has explained many things."

Well, the mysterious existence of the Eden Salam signifies many things. First, there was the party who was deliberately spying on the academy. Second, there was an insider in the academy who manipulated the data for the boy, likely his plot. Thirdly, this signified that the academy had been mislead for a long time.

"I cannot remain silent on this matter" said Professor Han, who then allowed Ats to leave early, "Rest for now. I'll try to investigate the boy."

"Well, Professor," Ats resigned. Before leaving the professor's residence, he looked back at the teacher for a moment. Honestly, he wanted to help. However, he felt he had no rights and authority regarding it now. For now, he just had to wait.
