Beautiful Villaines
Chapters 19. Cathie's sincerity?

The twilight had arrived and brought about an orange light that was engulfed in the horizon. Although it was soon the evening was coming, the atmosphere in the academy grounds that was usually quiet was now suddenly crowded. The crowd was filled by the disciples who were gathering after conducting a search for Roxa who suddenly disappeared.

Yes, the disciples went in search because of orders from their teacher, Piter. However, not a single one of them actually felt worried about Roxa's disappearance. Instead of grieving, they continued to complain of exhaustion and talk about Roxa in the back.

Until suddenly .. the figure they had been looking for was seen at the gate of the dormitory with a face without sinfulness. Roxa had returned and was now walking past the disciples who were practically focusing on her.

“See! He's back by himself.”

“Oh gosh! It's troublesome.”

“Really! I missed my lunch hour just for looking for it.”

“Why doesn't the arrogant Duke's daughter just disappear forever?”

Those discordant voices without empathy started to air and buzz in the ears. A cynical and dislikeful gaze simultaneously addressed to Roxa. It could be that none of them felt relieved when they saw Roxa returning without anyone getting hurt.

While Roxa who realized it all just let out a long sigh and still showed a flat face. ‘Actually what did Roxana do until they hated me so much?’ his mind kept walking.

However, behind the flat and nonchalant expression seen on Roxa's face at the moment, it was actually the girl who was hiding the sense of frustration and bitterness that seeped into her chest. None of them really cared much less about him.

Doesn't pretending to look okay, but in fact feeling empty is a very suffocating thing? Roxa really felt alone in this foreign world. Yes, being alone is exhausting and that's what Roxa feels.

After walking far enough and about to enter the dorm room, Roxa again heard some female students who were still busy in the back. Well, the atmosphere around Hoover is currently in chaos because of the events that have happened to him last afternoon.

‘Ugh! Could-can he come back while the people who are looking for him there are still those who have not returned.’

‘Gosh! I feel sorry for Cathie and Felix.’

In that very second, Roxa immediately stopped a step complete with buying eyeballs. His body turned around and stared intently at the group of female disciples standing not far from him.

“What did you guys just say?” Roxa asked with a pair of eyebrows almost fused together.

The group of female disciples simply fell silent and turned their faces away simultaneously.

While Roxa did not remain silent and immediately stepped over to Penelope, a short-haired disciple who last spoke, “Can you repeat your words?” hiss Roxa with a serious face.

Penelope twirled her eyes while sighing with a breath of air, “Do you really not know? Cathie and Felix. They are still in the forest looking for you,” he said with a subtle tone.

Without saying much, Roxa immediately sauntered away while hitting Penelope's shoulder which immediately cursed and cussed, not accepting. Roxa paid no heed to it and grew increasingly quick-faced with a riled face.

A few minutes later.

Roxa ran with a lantern that was a source of illumination in addition to the moonlight in the night sky. The cold weather that pierced into the bones as well as the ambushing silence actually made him feel hesitant to return to the forest.

Come on, in her previous life Roxa never set foot in the wilderness especially at night. She is a top actress who is unlikely to do the crazy and dangerous thing she is today.

What if Roxa ends up getting lost or even eating wolves? Should he just go back? However, inside the forest. It was impossible for him to rest quietly in a dorm bed without thinking about them.

“Cath! Felix!” Roxa shouted with her head around still tightly grasping the lantern lights.

Silent. Roxa continued walking with one of her hands hugging her own body, unable to bear the intense cold. His fur shuddered in horror as dozens of bats and crows were roaring and flying on snow-covered fir trees.

“Oh my goodness! Where are you guys? Cathy! Felix!” Roxa again shouted still with her head around.

Before long, Roxa saw two points of light behind a tree. What light is that? Is that a firefly light? Um, but that light didn't move in the slightest.

Suddenly there was a shocking moaning sound. It turned out that the light was coming from a pair of Arctic Wolf eyes, a white wolf that was interrupted by Roxa's screaming voice.

Roxa gasped until her body nailed to the spot. How could his bad premonition be real. Instead of getting lost, right now there is a wolf that is lurking and ready to eat!

Roxa's misadventure increased when she fell down because she was too shocked to let the lanterns brought along fall on the surface of the snow. His facial expression became stiff with his eyes wide open.

However, why did the wolf not immediately attack Roxa and instead walked slowly while circling the girl's body? Was he afraid of the light of the lantern falling beside his body?

Roxa swiftly picked up the lantern and held it forward, scaring and hoping the wolf would stay away.

‘Mantra! Yes, I have to cast a spell!’

“Galleggiare lasaviro morire!” Roxa suddenly cast a spell that Felix had previously taught aloud.

Silent. Nothing happened.

“Galleggiare lasaviro morire!” Roxa repeated it with a slightly panicked expression.

Silent. Still nothing happened. Is the spell no longer working?

“Galleggiare lasaviro morire!” Roxa was unyielding even though both of her hands had already started shaking.

Silent. The wolf kept walking slowly and circled Roxa's body. In that instant, he was increasingly made to panic and frustration.

“Avadra Kavadra!” Roxa's tongue slipped and cast a spell that Voldemort often uttered in the Harry Potter series. Oh God! It seemed like the girl was already feeling cornered and did not know anymore what to do.

Yeah, how else! Roxa has only ever seen the magic-witch scene from the film directed by British writer J.K. Rowling that. He knew nothing of the world of magic and spells except those he had seen on television. Daniel Radcliffe was his favorite actor.

“RAWWRR!” The wolf again roared and broke Roxa's daydream about Daniel Radcliffe who, of course, was still not born.

‘Last tiwayatku! What am I supposed to do?’

DORR!

A bullet from a long-barreled air rifle landed on the wolf's head.

Roxa nodded in a gasp and turned her gaze toward someone who had just fired a bullet. It turned out that the figure was Cathie who immediately ran over.

Cathie decays next to Roxa until her rifle falls off. It was a rifle that Felix's acquaintances lent him as they rested for a while to warm up. Cathie was so cold that Felix gave up the search before they went back to Roxa.

“Thank God. Are you okay?” Cathie's tears broke with her head lowered.

While Roxa was silent for a moment and looked at Cathie deeply. I don't know why, his heart was breaking. Heart warms. This was the reaction full of worry that Roxa first got.

You remember, none of the disciples were happy to see Roxa back without anyone getting hurt. However, Cathie was different. The girl saved his life. How could he possibly suspect it?

Stretched out both hands Roxa to hug Cathie's body tightly, “Thank you, Cathie. I'm doing fine. Sorry for worrying you (as well as doubting you).”

Cathie replied to Roxa's embrace with both corners of her lips raised, smiling haru, “Your safety is enough for me. I'll call Felix so we can get back soon. You wait here.”
