Beautiful Villaines
Chapter 25. Poison Conversion

Roxa took out a wooden crate filled with poisonous caterpillars in a very careful motion. He then carried her with a shuddering furs of Rome. Yes, of course he did not want to die silly just because he was hit by a caterpillar feather. Thank you so much Axe for giving me an amazing experience that I will never forget.

After arriving at the table perched right in front of Axe, Roxa placed the wooden crate that was carried on the surface of the table and then set his eyes on Axe. The two eyes now meet each other.

Silent. Nothing happened.

Roxa stood up and did not leave immediately. What else does he really want? Of course all he wanted was a thank you. Isn't the norm of politeness anywhere the main thing? Come on, he's already risked his life to bring the wooden crate!

However, Axe remained unmoved, not a single word coming out of his mouth. Roxa stood up confidently. They looked at each other in silence and made the other disciples confused.

“Doesn't anyone want Master to say?” Roxa finally relented and made a sound first.

“Ada.” Axe replied with a plate expression, “Now distribute the caterpillars on each of the specimen glass bottles that are on your friends' table,” his word that makes Roxa's eyeballs vibrate instantly.

“A-did I not hear wrong?” Roxa fizzed softly complete with a gasp of face. Instead of getting a thank-you note, he gets another new ordeal. How far would that teacher really upset him? ‘Damn it! Are you trying to kill me, heh?’

As if knowing the contents of the heart and the curse that was in Roxa's head, Axe again voiced. “You can use tweezers to pick it up.”

“….”

There was silence for a moment. Roxa remained unmoved, motionless. Although he could pick it up using tweezers, but the caterpillar's feathers could have flown and hit his skin. And if that happens, then his life will end here.

“Teacher.” Suddenly the heavy voice of a male disciple broke the silence. The voice came from Felix.

Blue Netra Axe immediately turned to the handsome blonde youth who suddenly stood up and walked over.

“Can I replace Roxa? I happen to be the class president who used to do this kind of thing. Because Roxa lost her memory, her magic ability to neutralize poison seemed to have disappeared. I'll replace him.” Felix explained calmly and had now stood in front of the table, beside Roxa.

Axe was silent for a moment as if he was observing, “Just do it if you want,” he replied flatly.

Felix pulled both corners of his lips, smiled meaninglessly then carried a wooden crate containing poisonous caterpillars that would be distributed to his friends.

While Roxa immediately breathed a sigh of relief. He almost died just because of a caterpillar. What a cause of death that is not cool at all considering the original story of the film has not yet begun.

“Thank you, Felix. Later I will treat you a delicious snack,” whispered Roxa decorated cheerful face while walking beside Felix.

Felix nodded and smiled, “Come back to your seat.”

“Good.” Roxa walked over and returned to her seat.

While in front of the class, Axe continued to observe the interaction of the two students. He secretly sensed the magic that was in Felix. Pretty good, though not as good as him. However, strangely he was disturbed by the existence of the young man.

Dozens of poisonous caterpillars had entered in glass bottles of specimens located on the desks of the students in the laboratory room. Roxa also got a part because Felix still gave him even though he was being punished.

Axe stepped foot, walking slowly around the disciples table. He will begin his lesson with poison conversion materials.

While the disciples who saw a caterpillar wriggling around in a glass bottle of their specimen did little to shudder in horror mixed with disdain. Just like the expression shown by Roxa earlier.

However, there were also some disciples who showed different expressions. One of them is Dimitri Pedro, a thick glasses and tanned boy who comes from the countryside and a student who is often the victim of bullying Troy Benjamin and Max Aguiro— if you still remember him.

Dimitri was fascinated by the black and orange striped pattern that layered along the caterpillar's body. “Are they from a new world?” he muttered with an astonished look.

Axe who could hear the muttering men with glasses then replied, “The existence of their species is indeed very rare.”

“Teacher!” Dimitri called Axe who instantly stopped his steps as he walked and practically turned his head towards him. “Can I ask?”

“Of course I won't ban you.”

“I've read if every stage of toxic caterpillar metamorphosis depends on a poisonous plant also called milkweed. Is that true?”

“True. Their eggs will be hatched on top of the milkweed, they will feed on the milkweed plant, and their pupa will also attach itself to the milkweed. Until finally, they will appear as the Butterfly King Milkweed," explained Axe with a flat face.

Dimitri looks more enthusiastic and interested, “So, is the harmful poison in the body of the caterpillar is the poison milkweed?"

Axe smiled faintly at the sight of an attraction that the glasses student couldn't hide, “Ya, right. But I've turned the caterpillar's poison into something that might be useful as medicine. Remember, all things are poison and nothing is without poison. Only the dose determines whether something is toxic or not.”

“Does that mean that everything can be toxic? And the danger of the poison does not depend on how many toxic substances contained in it?” Dimitri again expressed his opinion and asked with an enthusiastic face.

Axe re-published a faint smile. Although this was their first meeting, but he could guess if the male disciple had something called talent. Maybe he can become an elite alchemist later, “Just right. In small doses, even deadly substances can be harmless. And the opposite, too much of anything on a substance as pure as water can kill you.”

Axe suddenly picks up something on the table then shoves it to Roxa—a pair of gloves. “For protection.”

Roxa who has just breathed a sigh of relief is now back to buyingak perfect, “Hah? Whahuh? Hows it? You who?”

“Use pliers to move a specimen from the top compartment of the glass cabinet. The specimen was quite poisonous and deadly.”

Roxa is still wide-eyed with a face like a fool, “Sa-I will move it? Move something that poisonous and deadly with this precious hand?”

Axe nodded with an evil smile, but alluringly, “Remember not to damage it. Even though you lost your magic skills, but you have a strong determination and I'm sure you can do it.”

Roxa froze in place and was speechless. His voice seemed to be stuck in the esophagus. ‘Strong determination? Is he insinuating my resolve in pursuing him? Oh christ! This is a form of student discrimination. Does he have a grudge against me?’
