Geck! Geck! Geck!

Melissa knocked on the door of her parents' house. Shortly thereafter, the door was opened by a middle-aged woman who was none other than her mother Cassie Deana Jordan. As soon as the door opened, Cassie was so shocked to see her daughter suddenly visit her home.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Mother." Melissa kissed the back of her mother's hand.

"Wa'alaiacumsalam" replied Cassie.

"Mel misses you so much, Mom." Melissa hugged her mother.

Melissa hugged her mother long enough, she cried in her arms. It felt like she was telling about her husband's affair but, she did not want to burden the thoughts of her parents. Melissa fears her parents' health is compromised.

Cassie doesn't know if Melissa came to calm herself down. Cassie returned her child's embrace by gently stroking her son's back. After a few minutes, Melissa wiped away her tears. Then Melissa let go of that warm embrace.

"Hey, Mel. Why are you crying? Everything's fine, right?" ask Cassie with a deep look.

"Yes, Mom. All is well. Mel cry because Mel misses Mommy, it's been a long time since Mel has visited Mom's house," Melissa replied, lying.

"Jeez, you're just making me anxious. Oh yeah, where's your husband?" cassie asked when she didn't see her son's husband.

"Mas Danny's on vacation with his boss, Mom."

"Why don't you go with your husband?"

"Come, Mom. Just ask her later. Mel pegels stand still" Melissa said.

"Mother forgot. Come on in, boy!'' Cassie helped her son with the bag.

They enter simultaneously. As soon as Melissa entered the house, Melissa saw her father watching a ball game. Melissa ran towards him and hugged him.

"Mel, you're finally visiting Mom and Dad. Know it? We miss you so much, we're worried why you rarely visit your parents?" ask Melissa's father Dominic Valdi Jordan. 

Melissa is the youngest child of the Jordan family. Melissa has two twin sisters but, both of her sisters are dead. Jordan's family only has 1 child. That's why Melissa's always spoiled.

"Mel also misses Mom and Dad very much. Melissa wants to visit Dad but Mas Danny is always busy. Melissa is not allowed to go alone" Melissa replied.

"Yes it's okay. Oh yeah, where's your husband?" dominic asked because he didn't see his son-in-law.

"Mas Danny's not coming, Dad. He's on vacation with his boss." Melissa pursed her lips in annoyance.

"Loh, why don't you come with your husband?"

"Said Mas Danny should not bring children and wives because his boss also does not bring his children and wife."

"So you came alone? Does your husband know that you're going to Dad's?"

Melissa shakes. "Mel didn't tell Mas Danny, Dad. But, Mel has told Mas Danny that Mel will vacation with friends Mel and Mas Danny has allowed," replied Melissa.

"Yes if you told your husband. Oh, yeah, have you eaten?"

"Eating up, Dad. Mel ate with Yuxian before going to Dad's house. Well, Mel's very tired. Can Mel go for a break?" Melissa looked at her father.

"Of course, if you need anything, tell us yes. Cups!" Dominic kissed his daughter's forehead gently.

"Yes, Dad. Good night," said Melissa as she moved from her seat and went to her room.
