A Farewell

That afternoon, I saw that Thoriq was getting ready. He put his stuff in the car. Suddenly, I immediately approached him, but he did not realize my presence. And I just pensively looked at him.

Nine years we've been together. For as long as nothing ever separates us. He was my only friend, the only one who always understood me. Thoriq was a best friend, who always took care of me and never wanted to see me sad. He was always willing to act silly to make me smile, my mind continues to look at my best friend who is fun to put his things in the car.

While I was daydreaming, Thoriq suddenly approached me.

"Auliah!" thoriq said as he patted my shoulder slowly.

"Are you really moving in, Riq?" I smiled faintly while looking at Thoriq.

"Yes, in a few minutes I'm leaving," Thoriq replied with a faint smile.

I just fell silent.

"Aulia, I promise that if I have free time, I'll definitely be here!" thoriq said seriously while holding both of my shoulders.

I just nodded with a smile.

"Oh yes, I have something for you. Wait a minute" continued Thoriq then walked to his father's car.

I followed him and saw Thoriq grab something in the car, after which he returned to me with his hand placed behind him.

"So, I want to give you something as a memento" Thoriq said with his signature grin.

"What's that?"

"Take it!" a very unique photo frame thrusts Thoriq towards me.

"Pigura photo? This is our photo, very unique!" I immediately smiled happily to see him.

"You seem to like it! Well, one day if you miss me, look at that picture frame! Hehe," said Thoriq, gently patting my shoulder as he chuckled.

I just smiled and was forced to respond to her words.

After that, Thoriq sat beside me, he tried to make me laugh before he left.

I just smiled faintly seeing Thoriq acting silly in front of me. He laughed cheerfully, that laugh is what I will miss.

When we were joking and laughing together.

Suddenly...

"Sir Thoriq?"

"Lho, where are you going, how neat?" asked Betrand innocently.

Suddenly, Thoriq and I looked at each other.

With a raucous tone of voice; perhaps because of holding back the cries, Thoriq said, "Betrand, for a while Brother moved to Bondowoso because Brother's father was transferred."

"Huh?" betrand with a shocked face

"Father yes, Grandpa. Thoriq will be here often!" entertain me while stroking her hair

"Yes, that's right said Brother Aulia!" thoriq continued with a smile.

About 5 minutes later...

"Aulia, it seems like I have to leave already," Thoriq said as he looked at me with an unwilling look.

"Yes. Go,Riq! Your parents are waiting" I said with a smile and tried to be strong.

"Betrand, Brother go yes, Grandpa. All right here, yeah. Take care of Aulia, baby!" thoriq advises while touching Betrand and kisses him on the cheek.

"Aulia, I promise, I'll be back! I go first" Thoriq said, turning his body around and getting into the car.

It feels like my heart is claustrophobic in the face of this reality, but this self still smiles and with all its might holds back the tears that feel like it wants to flow just like that. Betrand and I immediately greeted both of Thoriq's parents, they hugged us and said that they must have been here a lot. I know they don't want this to happen either, because they already think of us as their own children. And they know, we were together from childhood. Actually, they were not willing to separate us but fate said something else.

I smiled at Thoriq and waved my hand, he replied. His gaze was very sad, his smile portraying such a deep sadness.

I stood still staring at the car of old man Thoriq who was slowly moving away from me while exhaling violently. As if I didn't think everything would turn out like this. My little friend, who has been with me for 9 years, has left me. All this time, thanks to Thoriq I felt never alone, he was like my siblings and we loved each other.When Thoriq was happy, I was happy too. When I was sad, Thoriq was also sad. Even if one of us is sick, we must be sick.

I could no longer hold back my tears, because I really understood what friendship meant. This self once felt a special affection from a friend who was never given by anyone, even by my family.

After that, I stared at the picture frame given by Thoriq.
