    John the Baptist taught people about Jesus Christ. He told them to repent of their sins and be baptized. John the Baptist baptized those who repented of their sins. People ask John the Baptist how to live a better life. John the Baptist told them that he would share with the poor, tell the truth, and be fair to others. He said that Jesus Christ was coming soon. Jesus will give them the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    One day when John the Baptist was baptizing people in the Jordan River, Jesus came to him. He asked John to baptize Him. John knew that Jesus always obeyed God's commandments and did not need to repent. John thought that Jesus did not need to be baptized. But Jesus told John the Baptist, "God has commanded everyone to be baptized", so Jesus told John to baptize Him. When Jesus came out of the water, the Holy Spirit came to Him. Allah says from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, to Him I am pleased.” John the Baptist also testified that Jesus was the Son of God.

    In the Bible, Jesus asks His disciples to go all over the earth, preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God, and baptize believers. This baptism is done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The purpose of baptism at the command of Jesus is that Jesus wants salvation to be extended to encompass all the nations of the world.
